I don't know if this has been done before but with all the free content on kindle and some
Of it being dire I thought a thread could help find great books at great prices.

I also thought that people could say 'this book is only 20p - has anyone read it is it good?

I started it because

James Herbert - Ash
Is only 20p and I have bought it today
Please post your bargains!

I like Wendy Perriam's books, and am looking forward to reading/rereading various recent Kindle acquisitions - she had several in the last sale, and Second Skin (novel) is still only 74p. She has various individual short stories on offer for free too.

Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier only £1.99 at the moment. I've just downloaded it - it's about Mary Anning, the fossil hunter.

Amazon kindle is having an Autumn sale on at the moment - loads of bargains to be had :) DH may be confiscating my credit card soon :o

I don't know what that(Arf)- means, I don't want to spam anyone. I just thought I might share my writing and I hope I haven't offended anyone.

Not VERY cheap, but for £2.99 each I just bought The Nightmare by Lars Kepler (I enjoyed The Hypnotist, another of his) and The Best of Everything by Rona Jaffe, which I think was recommended on here sometime.

Celticlassie and DizzyHoneyBee have mentioned offers from the current sale until Wednesday 7 November. There are two other books by Alice Thomas Ellis, Dizzy, too, at 99p.

Harper Collins seem to be putting a lot of stuff on at reasonable if not rock bottom prices (£2-£3) today, and I noticed two freebies

Grace Monroe, Dark Angels - first in crime series
Olivia Goldsmith, Uptown Girl - American chicklit

Winter in Madrid is now 20p - if you haven't already bought it (I got it a few months ago for the quite reasonable price of 89p) do, it's excellent, I'm just reading the last couple of chapters now.

Fantastic elkiedee! I have been wanting to read Winter in Madrid for ages now. I'm really chuffed, love CJ Sansom.
