What would be the worst possible ending of the last Harry Potter book?

(I have nicked the idea for this thread from another forum I post on so I can't take credit for it)

My lame contribution was:

" ... and Harry woke up to find it had all been an incredible dream ..."

Then someone suggested that it could end with Voldy writing a letter of apology ...

"dear mr potter, sorry for trying to do you in all these years, i saw so many similarities between the two of us and i suppose i was jealous of how well you handle things, and you're so good at quidditch.

sorry for killing your parents, i just get so angry sometimes and i'd heard this thing about having to kill you and i just got carried away

oh yeah, and sorry for the scar

yours

Lord Voldemort BSC Hons"

Oliviab - I agree re Imelda Staunton. Julie Walters is too over the top.

I imagined Dolores Umbridge looking like the woman who played the Slitheen in Dr Who.

DS and I have just been looking at the 'special features' disc 2 of the Prisoner of Azkaban DVD ... I love looking at the 'real' people who are acting the parts. Has anyone else seen these interviews?
I thought Daniel Radcliffe was a real nerdy dork though, compared to all the others .... bit of a shame really ... I am sure he is a nice boy though (in case his mum is a mumsnetter!)

Well Rupert Grint is actually a seriously good actor (has anyone seen Thunderpants?) and consequently has quite a personality/ego. DR was never really going to compete but he gets a little bit better each time, as does Hermione.

DumbledoresGirl · 05/03/2006 13:57

ghosty, I have seen those interviews as we have POA on DVD. I thought DR came across as a lovely boy - not all sulky and knowing like many teenagers - but RG seemed to have some sort of sulk going on at the time as he hardly responds to the questions at all. Mind you, I thought having the interview conducted by WhatsHisName and the Shrunken Head was really naff from the start. You can see Robbie Coltrane and Michael Gambon wondering why on earth they agreed to be subjected to such a terrible interview.

You are right DG .... I did think the Johnny Vaughn/shrunken head thing was silly ... but I guess the teenagers thought it was funny. I wondered why Alan Rickman wasn't being interviewed and then I realised that he probably refused as he wouldn't stoop that low ... Smile
I didn't think RG was sulky ... he was smiling throughout and couldn't really get a word in ...

I liked the Weasley twins (don't think they act that well in the movies but they came across really well in the interviews). I can see lots of potential in them as they get older (the 'phwoarr' factor Grin) they look and sound a bit like Sean Bean. (Yum)

I got HP and the goblet of fire DVD this am! The extras are much better than Azkaban not sure aboutthe interviewing tho'
The deleted scenes are worth watching just for Jarvis Cocker and to hear the full song!
