What would be the worst possible ending of the last Harry Potter book?

(I have nicked the idea for this thread from another forum I post on so I can't take credit for it)

My lame contribution was:

" ... and Harry woke up to find it had all been an incredible dream ..."

Then someone suggested that it could end with Voldy writing a letter of apology ...

"dear mr potter, sorry for trying to do you in all these years, i saw so many similarities between the two of us and i suppose i was jealous of how well you handle things, and you're so good at quidditch.

sorry for killing your parents, i just get so angry sometimes and i'd heard this thing about having to kill you and i just got carried away

oh yeah, and sorry for the scar

agree about the scar being a horcrux (thanks to dd and dh discussing it all!)
think maybe Harry will lose all his powers
think Hermione will snuff it

I know lots of characters are supposed to die (good and bad), which is fair enough

prob turn out that Neville is "the one" not Harry!

And i cried when Dumbledore died Blush, Not seen all the films yet (i know HBP isn't a fim yet) and i do tend to get really into my books.

When does the next one come out?

oh goodness, I hope none of the main characters die, including Neville.

ffs, its supposed to be children's books...really hope that JK Rowling resists the temptation to let too many people die.

I am Dumbledore's girl through and through (a la Harry being "Dumbledore's man through and through in HBP).

Dumbledore is not dead.

He is currently living it up in my inner sanctum!

Y'all come off it! Dumby's dead! Voldy 1) doesn't have any ability to love 2) Couldn't have made Harry into a horcrux b/c it was at the moment he tried to curse Harry that that charm made him lose all his powers.

Yeah, I think Hagrid's definitely going to cop it - after all, he doesn't have a wand so he's hosed when the sh*t goes down and they all start fighting.

Sirius is pushing daisies, too. But I think his bro' Regulus isn't really dead.

How many horcuxes are still left? I mean, RAB destroyed the locket, Dumby got rid of the ring, Harry torched the diary, and one of them is in a living being - perhaps Nagini?

Am I missing another known one?

Did he ever get hold of Helga Hufflepuff's cup?

You do not know that RAB destroyed the horcrux in the locket. He took it that is all. He might not have destroyed it.

he/she intended to destroy it, at least that is what he/she wrote. but he/she may have been killed before that, as he fully expected to die. also, whoever he/she is, he/she wants Voldy to be mortal again.

Yep, think he did w/Dumby's full knowledge, and that's why Dumby petrified Harry, b/c he knew he'd get in the way of what needed to happen.

But if he did make an Unbreakable Vow w/him to never harm Harry, then of course he has to die if he breaks it.
