I've recently joined Weight Watchers as I have three stones to lose. Last year's chat thread has gone a bit quiet so I thought I'd start a fresh one for 2019!

Anyone else out there making a fresh start? Smile

Well done cricket - very impressive.

Weigh in for me today and I have lost 1.6 pounds this week. Makes 9 in total over 6 weeks. I am delighted with that.

tipsytrainee46 · 11/02/2019 16:58

Can I join in with you all?

I started ww 3 weeks ago and was doing great - 7.5lbs down. Hadn't struggled with keeping to the plan or anything. Had a massively bad weekend - (think and Indian and 2 bottles of wine on Friday and a pizza and more wine on Saturday) and now I've lost all motivation.

Miserably got myself through today on plan so far, but I really want to go via McDonald's on my way home from work!

cricketmum84 · 11/02/2019 21:39

I couldn't run this morning as my arse muscles hurt so much from my exercise bike workout yesterday 😂😂 I can barely walk!!

Would like to start swimming again but I'm a bit scared to go alone and worried that people will run and scream in terror at the sight of me!

Weigh in day tomorrow so let's hope the scales behave.

cricketmum84 · 11/02/2019 21:40

@tipsytrainee46 I read an inspirational quote the other day.

If you were bought 7 beautiful red roses and 2 died would you throw the entire bunch?? Or would you bin the 2 dead ones and enjoy the 5 you have left.

It's the same with a week. Draw a line and start again tomorrow. Don't bin your week because of a couple of bad days x

tipsytrainee46 · 11/02/2019 22:36

@cricketmum84 thanks, that's a very apt quote! I gave myself a good shake on the train home, got in, made a 5 point curry and then went back out to the gym, so started the damage limitation!

I did have a slice of toast with dairylea before bed, but given how I was feeling earlier I'm taking that as a win.

Will face the scales on Wednesday and hope they're kind to me!

FiveShelties · 12/02/2019 01:27

cricket - I love that quote. I don't know how many times I have had a bad evening and then ruined the whole week, because I will start again on Monday.

Madein1995 · 12/02/2019 23:25

5lb off yesterday 😀 8lb in two weeks and 11lb overall!!!!

Am chuffed. I ate chocolate every night too, just shows the plan really does work. I've discovered the active bit on the app, about 5yrs too late. Went for a walk at lunch, the first level, and did 2nd level strength. Will do the walk each lunchtime I think, but will go up a tier, found today's ok. Will do the strength thing each night. Great for me - recently paid up lots of debts and trying to save to move out (flayshare) in may so cancelled all my memberships etc. Still feels good to get fitpoints, though I do find the American voices irritating - 'dont you feel good?' no you silly man I've just done 13mins of planks, bench thingys, star jumps, squats and superman thinys. I feel knackered and out of breath. I don't feel amazing! Lol

FiveShelties · 13/02/2019 00:10

Madein - well done, fantastic weight loss - I would be chuffed too!

I love the plan and if I followed it as well Friday-Sunday as I do Mon-Thurs I would be at target. Grin

soupforbrains · 21/02/2019 19:04

So... I had my 6th week weigh in yesterday.

I've been quiet on here because my progress in weeks 1-4 was slow (0.5lb, 1.5lb, 1.5lb, 2lb)

But... weeks 5 and 6 I've lost 4lb each week

So now I've lost 13.5lb total so far and I'm thrilled. I've not found the plan hard to stick to at all, I'm feeling better in myself, and I've lost 9cm from my waist.

That's also 5% of my body weight.

Really close to my first stone off now which is helping me to stay really motivated. Hope everyone else is doing well.

On the slight downside I think I've developed an addiction to Heck Chicken Italia sausages. 😂

MercuryRising · 24/02/2019 09:43

Hi. Can I join you? I had dc4 at the beginning of November and I'm now ready to start eating properly and shift the baby weight. I'm 5 pounds over the weight I was at my first midwife appointment but I was about 2 stone overweight when I fell pregnant so I have a long way to go. I'm breastfeeding so do get a lot of points. Attending a meeting each week will be tricky so I'm going to use the app and weigh in each Saturday at my mums. If anybody has any tips for a vegetarian sugar junkie please send them my way.

Torvi · 24/02/2019 11:06

Hi all. I'm starting tomorrow. I just turned 40 and really need to sort myself out. I'm dreading getting weighed in the morning Blush

FiveShelties · 25/02/2019 05:25

soup - well done

Welcome Torvi and Mercury

I have lost 0.5 pound this week, makes 10.5 in total. I want to lose another 0.5 this week and I will be 10 stone. I originally wanted to get under ten before my holiday but have decided that 10 stone would be excellent. I do not intend to regain the weight whilst away - she says optimistically. Grin

cricketmum84 · 26/02/2019 06:08

Another 6.5lbs off for me this week! F knows how as I had cocktails and wine at the weekend and 2 bags of mini cheddars yesterday! My evening meals are very small though and I come in under daily points most days.

Hotterthanahotthing · 26/02/2019 21:13

I started 10 days ago.I lost about 4lb in week one and amanaging easily in week 2,used a lot of the weeks points on a Vietnamese meal and ambeing good.
I discovered the heck sausages today!wow .Had 3 for tea and will eat 2 cold for breakfast in a thin with tomato sauce.

tipsytrainee46 · 27/02/2019 17:35

Last week was a good week for me at weigh in with 5lbs off meaning 7.5lb off in total over my first 3 weeks. Fell a little foul to treating myself as a result this week - on my way to the workshop now, so time will tell!

Miolmor · 02/03/2019 14:35

Can I join in?

3 month old ebf baby with around 3.5 stone to lose. Joined up online on Thursday and will go to meeting on Wednesday next week.

I’m worried that I have loads of extra points for breastfeeding and am getting through them no problem- not sure how I’ll cope when I lose those in a few months!

Iwilldoitthisyr40 · 03/03/2019 15:02

Hello! I am restarting (for the millionth time) today.

I have 3 stone to lose and lots of nice events coming up in the summer so need to get my head in gear!

Both DH and I turn 40 this summer plus I don't want another camping holiday this year struggling to get up on a morning

I also have a long term health issue that being overweight is making massively worse.

I am limited for exercise (due to health issue) but have bought a weighted hula hoop I am determined to master and have a set of weights and resistance bands collecting dust in the spare room.

I am an online member as the local meetings don't work for me time wise.

Looking forward to this challenge of being fit and 40!!

Brayden23 · 04/03/2019 07:37

Hi I'm 51 and just signed up. I'm 11.2 and aiming for 1and half goal

LetItGoToRuin · 04/03/2019 09:49

Welcome to all the new people!

Is everyone feeling positive this week?

I’m an online member and weigh-in day is Monday, which is probably a mistake as it’s just after the weekend… a week ago I stayed the same which was ok as I’d had a couple of planned meals out, but last week I was pretty angelic and stayed within my points and didn’t use all my weeklies, and the scales only showed a 1lb loss this morning. I think it’s a combination of eating more at the weekend which for me is just before weigh-in day, and (I’m hoping) water retention due to it being time of the month.

My main problem is that that social life gets in the way! This month I’ve got one or two social engagements each week, and although I try to be moderate when I’m out, and am really good the rest of the time, it slows down the weight loss. However, slow loss is better than no loss, and I’m not prepared to cancel my social life because of a diet.

I started mid-Jan and my goal is to lose a stone in time for a mid-April holiday. So far I’ve lost 10lb in 7 weeks, so only have 4lb to lose in the next 5 weeks which should be doable…

Miolmor · 04/03/2019 16:38

I’m feeling fairly positive though concerned that I have too many points to lose weight and worried about milk supply if I cut too much. Sigh.

FiveShelties · 04/03/2019 19:25

I have lost 0.5 pounds and achieved goal. Only lost 11 pounds but am delighted😀

I have just arrived back in UK for 4 weeks and hoping not to regain the 11 pounds whilst here!

Iwilldoitthisyr40 · 05/03/2019 07:03

Ah well done Five, that's a fab loss!

Actually gonna start today, did really well Sunday but didn't plan on having pancake day a day early (yesterday) as hubby now away with work today. Threw my point out of the water as I hadn't factored it in my day!

Weight this morning 13st 4.2, so have at least 3 stone to go!

cricketmum84 · 05/03/2019 08:34

Only half a pound off for me this week. I have started doing a lot of weight/resistance training at the gym though so I think I've probably got a little water retention going on.

Hey ho, hope I see a better result next week!

ChipsAreLife · 06/03/2019 18:51

Sorry I've been rubbish at checking in. Had a crazy few weeks with celebrations and work events so found it really hard to lose weight. I have however lost 11lbs in 8 weeks so I'm thrilled with that!! We go away on holiday in 16 weeks so if I can keep to that level I will be over the moon!

I've mentioned it before but eating in a right hour window is really helping me, I'm also trying to do 40 mins of exercise each day. Mainly for my mental health but as a result I'm feeling so much better in my skin, and clothes feel so much nicer.

I've also given up booze for three weeks as it was leading to some bad eating the next day. Got a weekend away which is when I'll fall off the wagon!

How's everyone else doing?

ChipsAreLife · 06/03/2019 18:53

Eight hour*
