name slow and steady wins the race. There could be lots of reasons why its not going quickly - water retention, certain medications stopping you going to the loo, your time of the month. Even the time of day you weigh or what you wear. It is really disheartening, I know. I lost a pound here and there my first few weeks. It is really upsetting, because I know at my weight I 'should' be losing at least 2 if not more, per week. It can take your body a while to adjust sometimes. I personally sped up a few weeks later, and had a few big losses, before things got a bit busy.
But focus on other things. I'm blathering on but in November last year It took me 20mins to walk from work to subway for lunch. Now, I've noticed that the same walk, and I'm not walking fast or getting out of breath, takes 10mjns. Even if I'm taking the scenic route and haven't quite lost my stone , that's good going. My stomachs shrunk. I used to go to Witherspoon's and be able to have a lasagne and chips with possibly garlic bread on the side, and a dessert afterwards. Now, I've taken to ordering a panini or burger with salad. Not because I particularly like salad, as I love their chips, but it's just too much food for me now and I end up leaving the chips anyway.
So not weight related, but I'm fitter and my stomach or appetite, has shrank. I can't eat a whole dominos in one go or a tub of haagen dazs. My clothes fit better - I can do the zip on my coat up easily and some of my pyjamas now slide down when I walk! A work colleague I've not seen in a while noticed I've lost weight. Only annoying thing is mother (see last post!) Keeps insisting I'm stupid and not eating enough. Though I think some people don't like change.
So non scale victories are just as good.
