I've recently joined Weight Watchers as I have three stones to lose. Last year's chat thread has gone a bit quiet so I thought I'd start a fresh one for 2019!

Anyone else out there making a fresh start? Smile

twinkledag - I was just thinking the same - we are out for dinner tonight and I am definitely not the sober driver tonight - not good for the points I fear. I may have to raid the FitPoints againGrin

I lost 2lbs again yesterday - 8lbs in total - but then I was out eating and drinking last night. No idea how to point what I had and may have to put a lot of it down as an oops...

Madein1995 · 03/02/2019 10:57

3lbs off yesterday 😀😀 have a training course on Monday (my usual day) so had to go three days early. Very pleasant surprise! Now lost 8.5lbs. I'm thinking its because the Saturday group is am and my usual group is pm. Obviously I have to eat on weigh day - can't not eat all day - but can't help but think it's not helping weight loss. Any tips on what to eat on weigh day to not ruin the loss?

Chips I find planning helpfil. I plan my evening meals then build my breakfast and lunches around them. I do sometimes not plan my breakfast or lunch and just choose on the day, but I like a rough idea for tea. Coming from SW I do find it hard with red meat not being 0 points, so some of my meals do contain more red meat than perhaps other people's

Monday - nissin noodle pot. Am in a training course in the evening (4pm start, it's for a voluntary job working with victims of sexual exploitation) and no clue of what time course will finish. Will get train home then go Tesco then bus, so tea will be late. Having a ww meal at lunch to see ms through

Tuesday - Leftover freezer Bolognese with mince, with fresh spaghetti, eatlean cheese and fresh basil

Wednesday - late night in work, well 6.30 finish. Turkey burger (again leftover frozen ) in a bun with roast peppers and cheese, with homemade sweet potato fries

Thursday - tomato and mozzarella chicken bake with tagiatelle from the app

Friday - chicken jambalaya

As I'm busy with lots of different things going on, usually at least 2 meals are week are stuff from the freezer. When I cook food like Bolognese, curries, even burgers etc, I always freeze a few portions so there's easy teas. Wish I could freeze noodles and rice too! Well I could, but it wouldn't taste as nice

Thank you all so much for your ideas! I will see being do these. I do try eat a lot of chicken! I just find life hectic with two young kids and DH and I both work for ourselves so cooking time is often limited!

I've got my official weigh in tomorrow but weighed today and have stayed the same this week. Am a bit peeved but I know it's a marathon not a race! Been doing some really hard workouts so telling myself it's muscle lol!

Well done to all the losses! I think WW is great especially the extra points to help at weekends when you're out and about and choice is limited.

Has really made me cut down on my drinking too. I used to easily go through two bottles of wine over a weekend but am now just have 5/6 g &ts over that time instead. So I think that's good!

Tried my skinny jeans on yesterday. Got them on but couldn't do them up. I want to be able to by mid March!

I’m doing my final year project around weight loss and body satisfaction/self esteem and I need more participants who are partaking in a support group (weight watchers/slimming world etc) to help lose weight, it takes about 5-10 minutes and it is completely anonymous! Just click the “attempting to lose weight with support group”, Thanks in advance

Weigh in number 5 today and so have lost 1.4 pounds, that makes 7.4 in total and 5.6 to go. If I stopped messing about and stuck to it properly, I would have probably be almost there now.😀

cricketmum84 · 04/02/2019 06:54

Another 4 off for me this week!

1 stone 8lbs gone since Christmas so I've got 11 stone 6 to go.... this is gonna be a loooong trek!

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 04/02/2019 06:58

Another 1lb off so 6.5lbs since I started. Definitely in the "1lb a week" club but that's okay.

FromDespairToHere · 04/02/2019 09:32

Well done Delores

cricket I'm 8lbs in to what I'm hoping will be a 10st loss so I'm there with you! I'm not looking at the end goal, it's too daunting, I'm looking at it as 2lbs till my first target.

twinkledag · 04/02/2019 09:44

Such a food filled weekend that I don't feel like eating ever again!

All weeklies gone so need to be good until WI on Thursday.

Ditsy79 · 04/02/2019 10:26

Lost 1lb this week! Considering I ate out 3 times I am happy with that!
Going slowly but I do like how flexible it is, ie filling up on free foods if I know I'll be eating out later on that day.

Jade34 · 04/02/2019 21:13

Hi all! I’m joking you from New Zealand. Today is my first day!
It’s very inspiring reading about all your losses at weigh in.

FiveShelties · 05/02/2019 05:16

Welcome Jade34, and good luck.😀

twinkledag · 05/02/2019 21:39

Eurgh, one food day, one bad day

twinkledag · 05/02/2019 21:40

*good!!

purplelass · 06/02/2019 12:25

Week 2 update - lost 1 1/2lb so total loss in 2 weeks is 4lb.

I'm happy with this as I'm aiming for 2lb loss a week for the first stone Smile

Hping · 06/02/2019 22:14

Has any signed up to the online WW? Have people lost weight just using the online version?

FiveShelties · 07/02/2019 01:56

Hping I am doing the online version only. I love the app and have lost 7.4 pounds in 5 weeks. I have been far from perfect so very pleased with the 7.4 pounds.

If you want to join this link will give you one month free, and me too!

FiveShelties · 07/02/2019 02:02

Oops meant to say sometimes I use the online and others my phone app and both work really well. My problem is not with the app but with the wine😁

cricketmum84 · 07/02/2019 06:12

@Hping I'm doing online only too. Lost 1 stone 8lbs since Christmas! I'm very strict with the points. I think the diet makes you naturally go low carb just because carbs are quite high in points. I tend to swap out rice, pasta and potatoes for salad and veg a lot of the time so I have enough points for wine lol!!

FromDespairToHere · 08/02/2019 13:50

2lbs for me today. That's 10lbs in total and my first goal reached. Got the next 10lbs in my sights!

FiveShelties · 08/02/2019 21:24

Well done FromDespair

Hping · 08/02/2019 23:12

I have joined online and used your link, so you should get a free month. Thanks for my free month too.

FiveShelties · 09/02/2019 21:04

Thank you Hping - I hope it all goes well for you.

cricketmum84 · 10/02/2019 10:40

Not quite sure what was going through my head when I said yes to going for an early morning run with my 9yo daughter last night.

She woke me up at 7 prodding me going "come on mum run time!!"

Managed 15 mins of combined walking/jogging. First run for nearly 2 years. Then finished off with 30 mins on the exercise bike. Earned lots of fitpoints!

Hoping I can get my bum up and out of bed 45 mins early all next week to do a quick morning run before work!
