So who else is back to the WW routine in January?

I lost weight slowly and steadily on the 'filling and healthy' ww plan last year. Lost 16lbs over 16 weeks and I am back within my gold buffer zone but not quite where I'd like to be yet. Have had a couple of weeks off over christmas but planning to weigh in on Monday at my meeting...which I expecte will be rammed!
I also need to increase the exercise as that waned a bit in December.

Hope to have some company on this board for the new year. What are your aims?

Trouble is you can never have just one pringle - it's always half a tube!

Rainicorn · 08/01/2015 21:47

I'm having some chocolate tonight, seeing as I've done really good so far. 10 maltesers = 3PP. Much nicer than a yoghurt.

Sixgeese · 08/01/2015 22:33

rainicorn how on earth do you stop at 10 maltesers? my inability to stop until the box is empty is why we don't have any in the house - I do have curly whirls and chomps though, also only 3pp and while not as nice as maltesers I can eat a whole one and not feel too guilty.

DH is a teacher and he has a few boxes of chocolates from end of term presents around the house, but as long as he eats them in a different room and doesn't tell me that they are open, I can ignore the call of "eat me" that I get from unfinished boxes.

Rainicorn · 08/01/2015 23:03

It was a fun sized packet. Nothing fun about it. I can easily finish a family sized packet in one sitting.

NoLongerJustAShopGirl · 09/01/2015 07:38

A wagon wheel for 4 points is my "pudding" of choice. Nice and substantial.

colleysmill · 09/01/2015 17:18

Oh heck I've just eaten 6 digestive biscuits without realising having been super on plan all day - now I'm going to have to go for a run tonight!

SocialMediaAddict · 09/01/2015 17:54

I'm in! I gained 3lb over Christmas. My next weigh in is on Wednesday.

Plan on going to body attack at the gym tomorrow. It's insane!

AndMiffyWentToSleep · 09/01/2015 19:28

Weigh in for me tomorrow - I'm nervous I won't have lost anything, particularly as you're supposed to lose (I mean deliberately get rid of!) lots in the first few weeks.
I've not used all my extra or activity points and I'm toying with the idea of blowing them tonight. When I did WW before, on the old plan, I always saved some extras. But I find propoints much harder.
I'm also into the 2nd week of C25K which I'm enjoying, surprisingly. Not sure I'll enjoy it so much tomorrow if the weather stays this bad though!

pinkstinks · 09/01/2015 23:51

Hello all - how has your week been? Sometimes I find it easier to manage when I am at work it's when I'm home at the weekend that I nibble...

I gained 2lbs over as which seeing as I had two weeks completely off I am ok with. But it has re motivated me. I am at -4.5 stone and want to have lost 6 by April as that will be a year since I began.

All the newbies, you're doing really well, keep with it, the best advice I can give is to treat each day separately don't get hung up on bad choices made previously, don't dwell jut start again tomorrow.

I love the mands meals, I want to try this cauliflower rice thing and I have batch cooked sweet potato soup for the week ahead!! Good luck

AndMiffyWentToSleep · 10/01/2015 06:04

I lost less than 0.5lb - that is terrible for a first week's loss!
I don't know how I'll find the motivation to stick with it this week...I have no idea what went wrong Sad

Galmptongirl · 10/01/2015 07:57

hello everybody, How is this first week going? I started very organised at the beginning of the week and stuck religiously to the plan but after a few days back at work I managed to succumb to 3 Kit kats in quick sucession! ..and a piece of cheese. was starving and missing these 2 vital ingredients - cheese and chocolate. evenings have always been my downfall. But have managed to loose 2 lbs this week so must be doing something right... Has anybody tried the innocent veg pots? they look quite nice and I am sure they can not be very many points. My plan this weekend is to cook some meals in advance for dh and ds's to avoid the evening scramble for food.

colleysmill · 10/01/2015 09:48

miffy don't get disheartened! Have you measured yourself? Sometimes I find I don't lose much in a week but lose inches instead (particularly if I've upped the exercise)

I al ways think to myself half pound off is better than half a pound on and it's half a pound I'm never going to see again!

hevs10593 · 10/01/2015 09:49

Can anyone point this for me? It's fruit with a chocolate dip, the packaging says the chocolate dip is 23% of the pack I count the fruit as free.

www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda-compare-prices/Fruit/ASDA_Simply_Treat_Fruit_Salad_with_Milk_Chocolate_Dip_170g.html

It's really yummy!

NoLongerJustAShopGirl · 10/01/2015 09:55

hevs...

if you point it up for the whole pack it is 7 points - don't know how you'd point just the chocolate bit - since it contains more than 23% of the fat, less than 23% of the fibre and who knows how much of the sugar.

colleysmill · 10/01/2015 09:56

And as an aside most of my weight so far has come off in pound/half pounds with the occasional 2-3 pound weeks. Makes it more sustainable hopefully in the long run!

NoLongerJustAShopGirl · 10/01/2015 10:04

Miffy - I find when I diet that my weight lags behind by almost a week - so that

hevs10593 · 10/01/2015 10:42

That's dissappointing!

AndMiffyWentToSleep · 10/01/2015 13:16

Thanks colleys and nolonger, I guess I'm just used to the big 'first week' loss. Any other week and I'd've been happier with it!
I haven't measured myself but I think I will - it's a good idea.
Fingers crossed next week is better!

ethelb · 10/01/2015 15:29

I lost three pounds! So that's my christmas weight off. I've got to the end of this month to get to a weight where I am happy to go wedding dress shopping. Three more weigh ins until the end of the month and I would love to get to my 5% target of 9 stone 6. That's 8 pounds to loose so about 2.5lbs a week. I know that's a bit naughty and too fast but 30day shred seems to be working so far!

Rainicorn · 10/01/2015 16:14

A loss is still a loss Miffy. Well done. We're you wearing different clothes? I always wear the same stuff got with day.

Well done on the loss Ethel

Hevs, is it just a choc dip? Did you weigh it? I'd go with same points as normal choc or maybe Nutella?

Rainicorn · 10/01/2015 16:15

Shall we set monthly goals? Do people do that? My first goal is 10% loss.

ethelb · 10/01/2015 16:24

Rainicorn, no just me as I want to buy a nice wedding dress and I have my family breathing down my neck about the bridesmaid ones. I haven't had a time frame given to me by my leader for my 5%.

ethelb · 10/01/2015 16:25

Sorry my 10%!

Harverina · 10/01/2015 16:29

Hello can I join you Grin

I weighed in on Wednesday after 4 weeks spectacularly off plan and had gained 8.5lbs. I had lost 1.5stones but blew it Hmm

So I am back on track. Day 3 of filling and healthy and feeling better already. Had been feeling really sluggish and horrible over Xmas.
