Half a stone before Christmas? Whose joining me?

I'm on day 3 (yes, early days I know) of the PP plan. I've done WW in the past but gave put it all back on a year on from having my son.

I'm planning on going for achievable. There's 7 weeks to go, so with Christmas parties ahead, I think a 1lb a week weight loss is achievable.

So who is joining me?

You're right Claudius, damage limitation is one of my reasons too. I dread to think how much weight I would put on over Xmas if I hadn't started WW.

Your husband has done really well, too. I also have a slim other half. Can be both motivational and depressing!

I'm only on wk 2. Lost two and a half pounds last week and my weigh day is Wed. Had a day out at the panto over the weekend, a night out, subsequent hangover and takeaway. Didn't track all of the points, but have written off all 49 of my weeklies. Today and tomorrow I'll stick to my daily allowance and see if I can go a couple of walks.

Will check in on Wed. with another loss, hopefully! Good luck.

I rejoined today. Lost 20lbs on WW between January and June mainly because of a great and supportive thread on here.

Then I've faffed about since and put at least half a stone back on. Did a lot of running August to October so had to eat lots of fuel. Finished the running and continued to eat the same amount...

Clothes are getting tight (albeit they are a size smaller than a year ago but that's not the point..) so it's time to get back under control.

Need to up my exercise and reduce my food. Smile

Mazzledazzle · 09/12/2013 20:57

Well Crunchie at least you've started again before putting too much of it back on.

Good luck!

I managed a brisk walk today and stuck to my daily pp allowance. One more day before weigh day for me.

By the way, bought Hugh's 'Veg Everyday' recipe book today. Will see if I can work out some of the pro points per serving. Not vegetarian, but love veggies and don't eat enough of them. Mind you, his recipes do seem to use a lot of oil, butter and cheese, so might have to swap for lower pp alternatives.

Another 2.8lb down! That's 5 and a half in two weeks. Well on my way to -7lb by Christmas!

wifeymerrick · 11/12/2013 18:51

Well done mazzle :-)

KosherBacon · 13/12/2013 20:09

Excellent news folks. I must apologise as this thread had disappeared from my "threads I'm on" bit so I thought it had died a death.

I lost 1lb this week so 10lb off in total! I'm delighted. I wore a pre-pregnancy skirt today and realised my waist is slowly coming back. I still have a saggy belly but have found a waist!

Thanks for the hairy dieters tip. I've been slowly working through some of their revipes!

wifeymerrick · 14/12/2013 08:20

And that's fab kosher.....also glad ur back we've misse. U x

KosherBacon · 14/12/2013 08:39

Wifey- great weight loss.

Next week is my last weigh in for Christmas.

Weigh ins are on a Wednesday so it will be my last one for three weeks. I need to think about my goal for over the Christmas period. I think it's unrealistic to think about losing weight. I'd like to stay the same but worst case would be to put on a pound. I might try and find another class nearby to go for a weigh in in between.

What are others thinking of doing?

The wee book this week at class had fab Christmas recepies..my last weigh in is on Thursday and then it's off until January....I'm going to try and watch what I'm doing but am expecting a few pounds to go on.....if my lady does another class I might just check in though will know more next Thursday.....

Well done Wifey & Kosher! I had nights out Fri & Sat so lots of booze and food for me I'm afraid. Managed to get back on it today and weigh in is not 'til Wed. so I've still another two days. Hopefully things will have evened out and I'll see another loss! I'm doing WW online and so after this Wed. my weigh days are Xmas Day & New Year's Day! If I can maintain over the hols I'll be pleased. Good luck everyone.

KosherBacon · 16/12/2013 08:24

MazzleDazzle- it is Christmas so don't stress about the parties, just be good for the other days.

We went out for lunch and dinner on Saturday and to friends for drinks. I was sensible with what I ordered- aubergine parmigiana instead of pizza, chicken burger without the bread etc. here's hoping I've lost this week on Wednesday!

How's everybody getting on in the wind down to Christmas week?

OP posts:
Mazzledazzle · 18/12/2013 06:58

Another pound down. 6.4lb in total. Might just make it to the half a stone before Xmas!

Everyone else?

KosherBacon · 18/12/2013 07:39

I've got my weigh in tonight so fingers crossed I've lost again. I hope I have because even with eating out twice in one day I have stayed within my points limit.

Mazzledazzle · 18/12/2013 10:28

Good luck and let us know how you get on tonight, Kosher. I'm mixing it up a little with a fasting day today. I figure I'll never manage to stick to my points over the two week holiday period, so the odd fast day here and there should make up for the ten other days. Hopefully!

KosherBacon · 18/12/2013 19:21

3lb off! That's 13lb in seven weeks :)

Well done you Kosher! That's incredible.

KosherBacon · 18/12/2013 19:30

Thanks. Rather chuffed with myself!

How are we all doing in the final days before Christmas? Managing to limit the mince pie intake?

OP posts:
Mazzledazzle · 21/12/2013 10:02

Another 2.6lb down! And that includes 2 mince pies. That takes me to -9lb in just over 3 weeks. Trying to follow my pro points, but if I go over and I can fit it into my week, then I plan on having fast days where I aim for less than 500 cals. I've always got 'free' soup and fruit at hand too.

KosherBacon · 21/12/2013 10:31

Great stuff mazzle- 9lb is amazing. Can you feel the weight loss?
