Half a stone before Christmas? Whose joining me?

I'm on day 3 (yes, early days I know) of the PP plan. I've done WW in the past but gave put it all back on a year on from having my son.

I'm planning on going for achievable. There's 7 weeks to go, so with Christmas parties ahead, I think a 1lb a week weight loss is achievable.

So who is joining me?

Well I've just had a heart attack! Who knew that a Chinese duck pancake is 9pp! I only discovered after I'd ordered them so had one (albeit very well filled one!) and some chicken and sweetcorn soup (6pp) and a chicken wing (4pp). I'd had a beautiful dinner all planned until DSs chest infection took a turn for the worse and we spent 4 hours in a&e, so grabbed a takeaway.

I had half a pizza tonight for dinner but had been good the rest of the day and managed to avoid all the temptations at the street fair tonight.

KosherBacon · 29/11/2013 21:59

I admit I was good too during the day, so including my Chinese I've only had 31pp in total, which is totally fine.

Can I tell you what pizza to totally avoid? I got an awful frozen pizza from waitrose called Eat Balanced. It was 15pp and had such a funny taste. No wonder it was half price. I'd rather have a small value pizza for the same points or even make my own with a pita or wrap base. Blurch.

Pizza is totally my vice....I love it....have recently discovered pizza express and have the one which has salad in the middle and thin base around it....it's yummy....the weight watchers pizza isnt nice either !! All the good take away stuff is too high :-( my Dh is a takeaway junkie ! Anyway mire importantly kosher....is ur wee guy ok now ? I hate when they r ill :-(

KosherBacon · 01/12/2013 09:13

He's chesty and wheezy. We have to wake him up at night to give him his inhaler. Poor thing wakes up being pinned down by his parents with a mask over his face. It's the stuff of nightmares. He is loads better though.

Wee lamb :-( what age is he ? Glad he's a bit better x

Mazzledazzle · 01/12/2013 11:25

That's tough Kosher. Poor wee soul. Thanks

Still reeling from the PP of a duck pancake Shock! I would have guessed half that.

I'm loving the Hairy Dieters's books - just had their bacon, egg & balsamic tomatoes for breakfast. Mmmm. When I've done WW before I've always had v. low PP breakfasts and lunches, then eat a Mars bar every night. Trying to be a bit more balanced this time!

KosherBacon · 01/12/2013 13:02

I try do about 5-6 PP for breakfast, 5-6 for lunch and 10 or so for dinner. The rest goes on snacks. I try and have some protein for each meal too, even if it's Greek yogurt or lentils, to help fill me up.

I've not looked at the Hairy Bikers stuff- I will do now.

Someone has very kindly propointed all of The Hairy Dieters's recipes here Kosher. They are amazing! Not like diet food at all. The Chicken and Ham Tangle Pie is a firm fav. in our house.

KosherBacon · 01/12/2013 19:12

Ohhh.... That's very handy. I'm quite tempted to buy a second hand copy of the book.

Mazzle u r my hero that's amazing thank you......:-)

ineedsomeinspiration · 01/12/2013 23:06

ahhhh have eaten far too much today. Scared to even point it! Had all the family round for a lovely roast , followed by crumble and custard topped iff with wine and beer.
Heres to a good few days up till weigh day.

KosherBacon · 02/12/2013 06:46

INSI- just write yesterday off as using all your 49 floating points and stick to 26 a day for the rest of the week. You will still do well.

Most of the Hairy Dieters recipes are available online so you don't have to fork out for the books. We're having the prawn coconut curry tonight. It's ready on the hob and I can't wait. 7pp without rice, and the portion is enormous. I added courgette and sugar snaps.
Kosher's right Inspiration, just stick to your points today and tomorrow. Having a day off the plan isn't the end of the world. A couple of brisk walks would also help.

KosherBacon · 04/12/2013 06:54

Weigh in day today for me! Wish me much to see if my Chinese, chocolate brownie and salted caramel Haagen Daz have had an affect. They've all been included in my points so fingers crossed. I've also got TOTM bloat which doesn't help.

Good luck to you all!

Half a pound off. Slightly disappointed as I did track everything but have had a chaotic week. Oh well. A total of 9lb off in five weeks means I've got my 5% award too.

wifeymerrick · 04/12/2013 20:16

9 pounds in five weeks is amazing well done....u have had a tough week and still lost go you !! Weigh in for me tomorrow :-( nervous.com

KosherBacon · 04/12/2013 21:52

Good luck wifey!

I appear to have drowned my sorrows in a tub of Haagen Daz (damn you salted caramel), although it prion ably just used up some of my floating leftover points from the 49.

Mazzledazzle · 04/12/2013 22:59

Good luck Wifey and well done Kosher, I pray I'm 9lb lighter in five weeks! I'm using the WW app and unbeknown to me, when I first signed up (over a year ago though this is, yet another, week one) I set my weigh-in day for a Wed. However, tomorrow (Thurs) will be my actual weigh day. Don't know how to change it, so will weigh in tomorrow and then have a short wk next wk. With it being my first week, I expect a decent loss tomorrow, but with a 6 day wk and a night out at the weekend I think next wk will be tough.

Mazzledazzle · 05/12/2013 07:51

Lost 2.6lb.

Tracked everything I ate. Had 12 left of weeklies and 13 activity that I didn't use. In my twenties I'd have lost double that, at least!

My target for next week is 1.4lb.

KosherBacon · 05/12/2013 09:17

Mazzle- that's awesome. I lost less than that in my first week. I thought I would lose more but it's slowly continued to come off, so I'm happy. Well done! That's an amazing start.

wifeymerrick · 05/12/2013 20:08

Half on :-( hey ho tomorrow is another day x

Mazzledazzle · 06/12/2013 09:24

That's the attitude Wifey! Stick at it.

ineedsomeinspiration · 06/12/2013 11:27

1lb off this week which was a nice surprise as probably had too much wine.
First time I've been under 11 stone since before I fell pregnant.
Out for dinner tonight so got to be good today.
