Hi all
sorry iv not popped in to say hello in ages, its been a hard couple of weeks and iv not been on mn...
Blondes mailed me to say ye were asking for me so i had to come to say thanks
how is everyone? Im sorry iv not gone through the thread, i will but im exhausted at the mo but i will catch up properly soon!
As for me well iv been having the worst week of my life as i told ye my little ones heart wasnt beating when i had my scan at 9wks then i started bleeding and cramping badly last sunday and lost my lo on monday, after much agony... We buried our lo mon eve... I went back to the hosp on wed i had a scan and they said my bleeding was too heavy and i had too much internal bleeding and "products" (awful term) the doc advised trying the tablets which he said would cause pain but "expell" all the stuff... So they almost bloody killed me! I thought i was having a heart attack, they cramped/contracted the wrong part of me and all the pain was from my belly button up and into my chest even giving me shooting pains in my shoulders and throat! And caused my bleeding to stop!! Instead of getting rid of the extra stuff its sucked it up or sumit... Needless to say i feel like hell, i really feel so awful and im back for a scan next thursday when they will probably decide on a d&c after all this... I feel so bad and i feel really sad and crap too. My lovely little sister came and stayed with me for the week which was fantastic she understood i wasnt myself and wasnt able to be happy and fun or my usual chatty self but she had a great time with the boys and was a great help to me, she went home today though and i miss her already. Im so lucky to have my boys to get me through this but its hard feeling so rotten and trying not to act it! Il get there... Il be back here soon and will need lots of butt kicking to loose all this old weight iv piled back no... Thanks again for thinking of me iv no real life friends but it helps knowing i do have ye xxx

Oh hey, Poohbearsmom. I've been looking out for you since you posted about not finding HB. (I've had a name change since then but I was one of those who'd been there before). I've been really hoping things wouldn't work out like this so I'm really sorry they did. I know it feels really crappy at the moment but it will get easier to bear I promise.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/07/2010 23:51

blonde gets ready to kick pbm butt when she comes back - but ever so gently

DD aged 13 is finally being allowed to have her ears pierced. So we are doing it in style and she has an appt at Harrods this afternoon. She has wanted them done for years but we always said 13th birthday and we'd go to London, and we have had to stand firm! Having said that she is possibly one of the last! I still would rather she didn't have them done at all!!

DH off to the States he has just gone, back next weekend. I am nursing a vodka hangover and am on the nurofen express but looking forward to a girls time in Knightsbridge. But the sad thing for my finances is there is a new flagship topshop open opposite Harvey nicks so I am feeling poor already

GettinTrimmer · 17/07/2010 12:03

Morning all

PBM I have been thinking of you at this difficult time we are all here for a chat whenever you want. Take care. And we can kick each other's butt when you're back (in a kindly sort of way!)

piste Hope DD's ear piercing goes well. Have a good time in Harrods this pm.

yes, you are right about how competitive it is to get a job in a school. I have applied for another library job in a local school, the lady currently doing the job is a teacher, she is going back to a teaching job, so this would be a very attractive prospect for the school to get someone like that again. I will extend my search in September to everywhere and anywhere for something suitable, but will carry on trying for a school job as that's what I want.

I was advised by the Head of the school where I had the interview to offer myself as a voluntary lsa to get the experience (there's the qualification route as well), but the way things are, paid work would be good as well!

murtette Well done for having a good few days.

Naughty Trimmer - gained 2lb this week. Gah!

Not a disaster worse things happen at sea.

Only exercised once this week and ate a lot of bread. One of my weaknesses.

blondes Thanks for the hug.

PBM - massive hugs! Glad you have had your sister with you x

Piste - how exciting for your DD! Have a lovely time shopping, v I didn't have my ears pierced til I was 20, never wanted to then just decided to do it on the spur of the moment, must take after my mum...she didn't get hers done til she was 40!!

Trimmer - hope the right job turns up soon, it's cut throat out there right now. I can't even get a job at Tescos!!

Have just been and got my hair cut, about 6-7inches shorter!!!! Thankfully can still tie it up which means DD can't pull it!Was really nice to treat myself & have a couple of hours to myself but think DD has really played DH up this morning & I heard her screaming after I had shut the front door.

Had a muller light for breakfast as had run out of special K & just had a small piece of banana bread...I figured it had fruit in it so can't be that bad Have some pasta to finish off for lunch & might have a tiny piece of quiche with it. Then chicken and lf chips & salad for dinner. Have no major plans for the weekend though. Got DDs birthday invites so will write those, I have an exciting life!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/07/2010 17:25

'waves to pbm' glad to see you back

piste hope piercing went well. I got done at 11 and 16

gt good luck with next interview & hope gain comes off next week

bebe food sounds yummy and wow at 7inchs off!!!

My diet isn't going well today. Doing a wedding creache with 2 friends and got. 2,3,5,7mths and so far have eaten cranberry&brie sandwich and roast beef&salad and then get a hot meal tonight

so no choice of food. Ahhhhhhhh

will be doubly good tomorrow

hope all sleep tonight at 7pm ...........

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/07/2010 19:20

DD's ears now have ear rings in them, well tiny gold studs. Having made her wait, it certainly made it more special to go to Harrods. They have this sort of spa thingy on the top floor : Urban Retreat, and it's all terribly glam, and the ladies are so lovely. It was more of an occasion, and she is chuffed to bits. She now has the required 6 weeks of cleaning and turning. During school time, I am not sure when she will ever wear them though. They are allowed small gold studs for school, but absolutely not for games, and last year we worked out there was only one day a week when she would be able to wear them for the whole day!

Blondes.. I would have liked to be asleep by 7 tonight, stuff the children!

Bebe ... Good luck with the party, and all the parties yet to come! I expect all of us here with school age children can give you advice for the future! DS's best party was when he was 10 and they went tank driving in deepest Surrey. It was hilarious!

Good luck to everyone for the weigh in!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/07/2010 21:07

Yah for holes in ears piste

I've just eaten steak and ale pie, mash and cabbage. Was bloody scrummy so def going to have to be VERY good tomorrow

all asleep between 7-8 and then odd wimper and a quick feed for the 8week old

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 17/07/2010 21:49

PBM - you are a brave and courageous lady. That sounds a horrific week, I hope that you feel better this week.

The wedding is done. Think I was hoping for a meteor or something to stop it at the last minute.
I am distraught that my bro that I loved so much has married someone I cannot get on with but I guess time will tell. Comforting to realise today that I'm far from the only one who feels this way, lots of family and family friends have reservations, a few weren't there today when I expected them to be for precisely that reason.

Diet a disaster, have drunk about 4 bottles of champagne/wine.

Piste that sounds like a lovely day

GettinTrimmer · 18/07/2010 09:10

Well, I am back to foodfocus today and having 1400 cals. Just had boiled egg and soldiers for breakfast. I'm with Blondes, being very good today.

bebe we are doing party invitations today as well. DS is 8 just after the summer hols start.

He's grown out of pass the parcel, etc, anyone have any party ideas for 8 yo boys? We have a burst the balloon game, but he's asked for a water pistol challenge as well. Unfortunately he doesn't want to take a couple of friends to pictures or anything easy like that

I may start a thread somewhere.

Ali Back on the wagon with us today? I was a bread fiend last week! I had a lager and a packet of crisps last night, and chocolate fudge cake earlier on (mum's birthday tea!). I really should have done a Nigella special, but got it from Sainsbo.

Hope your new SIL pans out.

Are you shredding today? I may drag myself out for a run later.

Feeling rubbish again today, legs very painful Going to try really hard to be good today, at far too much yesterday evening was feeling sorry for myself!

Managed to persaude DH to go out in the garden & put some more seed on the patchy bits on the lawn. Have negelcted my hanging basket this week & now it's looking a bit dead & I'm really cross!! Have given it some TLC but think it might be too little too late! I am not good at this gardening lark!

Blondes - food sounds so yummy, bet you needed it with all those babies to look after!

Piste - glad you had a nice day! Spa place sounds lovely. Looking forward to DDs party now things are starting to get organised! A bit worried about DDs future birthdays, coz it is in August I have this feeling that she will miss out as people will be away. But I'm probably being over sensitive about it coz I never really had parties when I was little!

AliB - Sorry you feel sad about the wedding, hopefully she will prove you all wrong & was just being a Bridezilla. Sounds like you made up for it with Champagne though!

bebejones · 18/07/2010 09:17

X post Trimmer - I am FF today too...well I started out FF yesterday but it all went a bit wrong! Do you find that your DSs friends are all on holiday when it's his birthday? At least DD will never have to go to school or have an exam on her birthday!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/07/2010 11:34

BEBE sorry you are feeling rubbish, hope aches go soon and grass gets greener
GT yes, im being good, needs must after yesterday, football games for party?
ALI weddings are hard when you cant control food, hope sil improves, and in the end your bruv loves and lives with her, not you, so just grin and smile when you see her
PISTE very at spa
PBM we are here for you honey, as and when you want to come back xx

ive just updated food focus and now my weight chart has got a high line where ive gained , will have to be so good this week to try and shift blubber

going to pizza express tom as my birthday and might try a pizza with salad in middle- has anyone tried one? think piste said she had

oat so simple for breakie

prob pitta bread filled with chicken/salad for lunch

pasta and pesto for tea

bebejones · 18/07/2010 14:37

Oh dear have been bad! Stupid AF making me eat naughty things! Had some american style pancakes....but I used skimmed milk & fried them in fry light in an attempt at damage limitation! In fairness the pancakes weren't that naughty, but the butter & maple syrup were very naughty!! BNS & red pepper soup for dinner to counteract the naughtiness Shall sit on the naughty step til then! And I started the day so well and with the best intentions!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 18/07/2010 16:02

Afternoon

Not really back on the wagon, I'm so so tired today and we had lunch in Ikea when we popped in to get a few things, I had chips and a muffin. Going to start afresh tomorrow, although this week is going to be difficult. DH is off work and we are down at my parents for a couple of days to see friends who are over from the US. Then out for lunch and then it is DS' birthday on Friday and we're having a little party for him on Saturday. If I can get away with only putting on 1 or 2lbs I'll be pretty happy. Going to try and keep the exercise going though as that will help to limit the damage!

I hope new SIL pans out as well, current situation is horrid so we'll wait and see.

Blondes - those pizzas are good. I didn't have one when we went the other day, but I've had one in the past and they are definitely enough for a lunchtime.

bebe - those pancakes sound yum!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/07/2010 16:20

nah stay off naughty stepe bebe, you started off good

i will try one of those pizzas tom and then eat what i like in the evening when dh takes me out

salad just doesnt fill me up, i want tea NOW my tummy is rumbling and i dont normally eat till 7/.30/8

Murtette · 18/07/2010 19:00

I'm definitely on the naughty step! I had a bacon sandwich for breakfast followed by a bag of minstrels for lunch and not just a normal size bag but one of those family size ones. DP had two of the sweets but I had the rest of the bag!

Piste - it is nice to make "events" of things, isn't it?

Bebe - one bad meal isn't going to wreck the week. Isn't it you who sts when you have AF but loses loads in the intervening weeks? I can sympathise with the hanging basket. I've been watering one of my pots like mad this weekend but I think the plants have had it - oops.

Ali - good luck with future relations with your DB and SIL. Hopefully she'll relax now the wedding is over.

Gettin - my DB's birthday is July and we used to go to the field and play football/cricket/general running around which generally worked well. Do you have a biggish park near you? If so, could you do that? I guess you'd need a wet weather back up plan too.

PBM - I'm glad your sister is there to support you. I'll be here to give you the gentlish kick when needed. Take good care of yourself.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/07/2010 20:34

I liked the pizza ring with salad from Pizza Express. It actually felt like I was having the same sort of thing as the others. The one I had was prosciutto and mushrooms but I don't know its proper name! Enjoy though!

GT = What about a treasure hunt? DD had a mate ( boy ) whose parents did fab treasure hunts, they've done them round the park, and down a high street once, and once on bikes in the park( but they were more like 11 then.) Really excellent though. Ds also once did a cooking party at one of his mates..they made pizza and stuff then had a film and stuffed themselves with pizza! Good luck!

Bebe - my two always have holiday birthdays too - DD is always in the Easter break and DS is always in May half term. We always wait and do them after they go back. DS has 2 mates with August birthdays and they always wait for parties until the beginning of September. Last September on the first weekend back to school, he went to one party for a boy who was only just turning 10, and one for someone already turning 11! mad.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/07/2010 20:50

i dont do mushrooms, shame as free on ww

murtette,so of a bacon butty, was it well done 'dribbles'

GettinTrimmer · 18/07/2010 21:14

GettinTrimmer · 18/07/2010 21:21

Thanks for suggestions about ds's party everyone. He's been very confused about what he wants, also not that happy at school atm sensitive fella.

He's not sure if he wants a party, but only a week to invite his friends, but he's now saying there's only 2 people who like him at school, and can he move to another school. I like the idea of going to the local woods where there's a fab play area with a picnic, and having a kick about and a treasure hunt.

blondes Happy Birthday for tomorrow. Enjoy your pizza. You are doing better than me, I had a full fat one a couple of weeks ago for mine and tiramisu

murtette I've not been very good today, I had a piece of chocolate fudge cake before my tea with double cream. I don't think that makes me quite bad enough for the naughty step, but I will have a good week.
