and gawd it was nice, you all know my sausage fetish!!!

LizinFrance · 14/09/2010 21:25

Ok.........The Shred - worth getting if I'm very very seriously really unfit? (In my 'former life' I used to be a step teacher!) 12 years and 4 kids later not sure which would come first - death by exhaustion or peeing myself!!! (sorry to be crude)!!

Have a good evening.

Liz

GettinTrimmer · 15/09/2010 10:49

Morning all

Welcome Huffy Smile Will you go to ww meetings or record and point at home?

blondes are you feeling a bit better today? I bet that sausage was a banger and not a chipolata Grin

liz That shred is hard work, I also like Davina fit. Impressed you were a step teacher!

I can speak some French, my spoken French is not as good as my reading/writing (did exam at evening class). I can imagine how well the language comes on if you live there.

pretty how does this CAT thing work? I've not had an e-mail but I don't have a problem with putting my e-mail address on here if it doesn't work.

How do you recognise one another when you have a meet up?

I have just enrolled myself on to Word Processing at a local college, and I have been told about a careers' advice service for adults that may be able to help me. Feeling a bit more upbeat about the job hunting!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/09/2010 10:57

Titters at GTs banger theory!

Morning all.

I tell you something Slinks, we are going to feel the cold so much more this autumn/ winter. I was so cold this am my ribs ached:-(
You see we have (ahem) less padding than last year. So we will all need big coats!!

As the weather is changing I am finding that I don't really have any clothes that fit again. Got jeans but not for work, am still wearing some bigger tops etc. How is anyone elses wardrobe looking for colder weather?!

prettybird · 15/09/2010 11:08

GT - you should have got a CAT from Mumsnet towers, fowarding on my request (have you chekced the email that is in your profile?). You could try CATing me if you want.

The first few times you go to a Mumsnet meet-up, you find yourself accosting random ladies and getting strange looks when you ask them if there are from Mumsnet Blush

If we are orgnaised, we do something like bring along a balloon, make some signs to leave on the table or even have some badges. it's easier once you know one or two tohers - but obviosly first timers won't know any of the faces. For Christmas meet-ups, I have a lovely bright red long winter coat which makes it easy to meet up others at the station before going over to Edinburgh.

bebejones · 15/09/2010 11:59

Welcome Huffy! Add yourself to the list! :)

Liz - impressed at you being a step teacher! I don't think I could have done the class even at my fittest!

Piste - I am freezing at the moment too, DH thinks I'm odd! Definitely noticing it more than last year. You just don't realise how much fat insulates you!

Pretty - I have images of everyone wandering around train station with balloons! :o

Have been ever so good the last couple of days! long may it last! Have made some seed topped bread rolls this morning to have with my soups. Figured it was healthier than buying them! Had a horrendous night with DD waking just before 5 & screaming for a story for nearly an hour! Hmm Subsequently got up very late & had to go to toddlers so only managed a quick glass of OJ! Plan for lunch is soup & ryvita & then sausage casserole for dinner.

prettybird · 15/09/2010 12:13

The use of a "balloon" was for lunch time meetings where children came along too :) There was only one balloon - so that the rest knew which was the "Mumusnet" table. Ds like it 'cos he got to get a Thomas or Incredibles balloon to keep :)

But I do like the image too...... :)

laughalot · 15/09/2010 12:31

Hi everyone

Not been to bad today cornflakes for brekkie, a boiled egg for lunch with a small baguette and sausage cassarole for dinner bebe gave me the idea Grin.

Sorry to rush but im busy today need to make cassarole, pick up ds and then football training joy.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/09/2010 13:43

i have sooooooooooooooo sinned Blush

after stealing borrowing the sausage and yes it was a big one, i got home and dh offered chinese in my face and as im feeling poorly i wavered and had chilli crispy beef again - the way i see it, i was trying to burn the bug away with the chilli Grin

and ccb is 12p per dish and i ate 3/4 of it so 9 points

today i shall not eat try and be good

b banana 1.5
l ham and spinach swich and lots of salad 3.5p

t erm, not chinese Grin

liz, def try the shred, it is good and my friend has been known to wet herself when laughing and has no kids, so if you do after 4 then dont worry

always good to do your pelvic exercises :)

huffythethreadslayer · 15/09/2010 17:11

I'm pointing at home. Today, had 4 points for brekkie, cereal and milk. Have converted to a lovely herbal tea, Good Earth white Tea with a hint of citrus. It's saving me a fortune on points for milk and is really tasty. They also do a mint one, though I've only been able to get a free sample so far. T'was yummy.

Lunch was a wrap(2), 2 very small slices of cheese (3), low fat cous cous (1), low fat coleslaw (1) and a small portion of grapes (1).

So 12 points so far and not hungry yet. Tea so far is either salmon or steak with baby potatoes and veg.

I am starting today as I have mostly been eating apple crumble every night til now Blush with ice cream [double blush]

Also went to the gym for an hour at 6:30 this morning, so am feeling a little bit virtuous :)

Still not weighed myself, so off to do that now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/09/2010 19:28

well done huffy - ANYONE who goes to the gym before 8am is mad amazing Grin

your food menu sounds good, i love salmon and have often, and that mint tea sounds yummy, must try and find some

i also sinned again today with a mb chocolate brownie Blush Blush

im ill

Murtette · 15/09/2010 20:22

Help! What's going on with our thread? I haven't posted for a few days as I can only get the first page of messages on the thread. No idea why I'm having problems as I can read all other threads properly.

I lost 2lbs this week so am 12st 6 according to the scales at home and 12t 5 acc to WW. My first stone is gone! Only 2 more to go Grin. Hopefully the next two will be faster tham this first one!

I hope the rest of you are well.

Gettin - how is your DS getting on at school this term?

Jodie - how was your weigh in this week? Did you weigh in at the same time as last week?

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/09/2010 21:15

Well done murtette. That's fab :)

jodie how did you do tonight?

I had fish and carrots and brocolli for tea 4.5p

as I had a small lunch and lowish tea my
brownie that I guesstimated 5p means I am just under budget with my points

'does a happy dance' :)

bebejones · 15/09/2010 21:25

Don't know how many points my homemade brownies were last week, but they were over 230 cals!! Eeek! I had enough to total an entire days calories (almost) ooops!

Jodie - did you still go to ww today?

Had 2 reduced fat sausages & sauce with some lf ready made mash Blush(pushed for time)

Feel rubbish, think I'm getting DDs cold, my throat feels like I've been gargling razor blades :(

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/09/2010 21:34

Bebe. You fancied a sausage Grin

:( at your razor blade throat. Mine too :(

That's why the brownie just slipped down

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/09/2010 22:30

Shock at Huffy in the gym before I have opened my peepers Shock but impressed too

Bebe and Blondes - sorry you have a lurgy
Murtette - you sound like you have a technological lurgy Sad

I have been so bloody good this week.

Hope to hear from Jodie soon.

Are we Friday group gearing up for the weigh in this week? Am trying to think of a collective noun to describe a group beginning with F ( bit of alliteration you see ) and can only think of Fabulous Friday Flock or Fabulous Friday Flange Hmm

( If you don't know a flange describes a group of baboons!!LOL )

Maybe I should just go to bed Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/09/2010 22:43

Friday fattys :)

fighting fit fanjos

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/09/2010 06:12

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/09/2010 06:14

JODIEwantsanewname · 16/09/2010 07:58

Sorry for the long delay, I hope you were all able to sleep last night as I didnt post my results Grin

I lost another 1lb!!!! I'm quite pleased with that as it was the HEn night on Saturday, and altough I was OK with food I sinned quite badly on wine Blush Was in a bad way on Sunday and ate for England! It's also my AF this week!

I have woken up with a cracking headache today. Was DS1's 4th birthday yesterday and we had such a lovely day, he's had so many presents I don't know where to putthem all, need another box just for all the new Hot Wheels he's had!

I'll catch up properly later as I need to get organised for school..

Oh and justto remind you all, I;m at my mum and dads in Spain next week and it's still hitting 30 degrees there !!! I can't wait! I really have good intentions this time, I really don't feel like 'f**k it, I;m on holiday' but we shall see what I feel lik when I get there! Grin

GettinTrimmer · 16/09/2010 10:25

jodie well done on your 1lb loss. Your mum and dad must be in Southern Spain? I heard the Spanish diet is a very healthy one with loads of salads etc.

piste New thread coming up so f words would be good. I may change to Friday too but my only concern is that I would relax too much for the weekend which would be Friday Saturday and Sunday.

Funky Friday Fanjos Fighting Fit and Fighting Flab

murtette I am not sure what's happened, this thread appears as one long page and I have to scroll down to the bottom Hmm

DS seems to be OK apart from headache yesterday (I think maybe a bit of anxiety but his worry seemed to sort itself out yesterday) thanks for asking. How is your little one?

bebe If ready mash is good enough for Delia it's good enough for us! My mum was fascinated by Smash mash in the 70s, a bit grim if she put too much water in it. Ugh.

Hope you are feeling better soon Sad

blondes same for you Sad That brownie sounds good.

huffy well done on the gym. I probably drink too much coffee so that tea sounds good.

I must get off mn and go for a run, but don't feel like it as wasn't well last night, feeling sick with an upset stomach, after I had settled ds (he had headache).

Also on naughty step as had x3 Cadbury's turkish delight biscuits Blush and too much garlic bread.

Blondes - going to the gym, I can barely drag my sorry self off the sofa today!
