Morning all

Back to jobhunting for me today, so far I have filled in application forms but need some advice on how to update my CV.

Focused as well on the ol diet, I'm in the zone apart from the thought of an apple crumble sitting in the fridge! My garden is just full of apples, anyone want some eaters? Don't know what to do with them all Hmm

Good luck to all weighing in today.

blondes forgot to say well done on your 1lb.

bebe I did the same with the weighing in day, changed to Saturday instead of Monday.

murtette After Eights I seem to remember are 1/2 point each. Not too bad.

Liz That chocolate is too tempting! When there was masses of it in the house after christmas I got dh to hide it from me.

piste good luck with your weigh in today. Are you still Mondays?

Hi everyone had a lovely weekend ate way to much and put a 1 lb on. I wasnt going away though and eating rabbit food Grin.

Got back last night and ds said his tummy hurt and he has spent the night being sick lovely !!! Lots of nasty bugs going round at the minute.

Bebe that pic is fab you have done soooooooo well it dosent even look like you when you compare both pics.

Keep going girls

bebejones · 13/09/2010 11:36

Morning all!

We are an ill house! I spent most of the night awake with stomach cramps & chest pains & DH & DD have a horrid cold! Wanted a duvet day but ended up having to take one of DDs library books back as it had been reserved by someone! (It's a childs picture book FFS, would understand if it was a textbook or reference book) Anyway, I'm feeling much better & after a good nights sleep DD is perkier, but still very snotty!

I'm making some soup out of the leftover sunday roast veggies! If it tastes as good as it smells I'll be very happy! It has a sneaky bit of leftover chicken stock in it too shhhhhhhhhhh Wink

Laughalot - hope you enjoyed your weekend away, 1lb will go quickly!

Trimmer - good luck on the job hunt!

GettinTrimmer · 13/09/2010 12:23

Hope you feel better soon Bebe and get some rest today. You've got a point about the library book, what was so special about that one?!

That 1lb will soon go Laughalot.

another 'keep going' from me - I am just about to have a 'new' cadbury's Turkish Biscuit with a coffee, 70 calories per biscuit.

OP posts:
bebejones · 13/09/2010 13:22

Well it was quite special...it was a Peppa Pig one Wink DD keeps asking for it :( Might have to buy it felt so bad dragging the poor little thing out today, she's all pale & clingy :(

Biscuit sounds YUM! will have to look out for those. Have you tried penguin wafer biscuits, about 90cals, but sooooo worth it!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/09/2010 13:48

I am such an ARSE

I forgot to weigh in today. Sigh. Mondays are so busy.

I will do it tomorrow, but am considering moving to Friday like Bebe. The plus of doing it on a Monday is that I am not tempted to binge at the weekend, but of course weekends are very hard. Am in two minds.

It would help that I remember anyway!!

Sorry for being a prat.

Shall weigh in tomorrow

Hope all vomit ceases v soon.
Waves fondly to all Slinks
x

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/09/2010 13:58

i told you friday is better :)

TRIM good luck job hunting

LAUGHALOT 1 lbs isnt that bad and we will kick your butt

BEBE sorry household is ill and peppa pig is a VIP in our house :)

PISTE dont forget to weigh tomorrow

MURTETTE doesnt sound you were THAT bad at weekend, hope scales will be pitaful to you

b cereal banana
l beans on toast and raspberrys
t prob pasta pesto

bebejones · 13/09/2010 14:26

Is that Very Important Pig?! Wink :o

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/09/2010 15:20

yes bebe :)

bebejones · 13/09/2010 16:31

Been better behaved today after the naughtiness of the last few days!

B - OJ & lf yoghurt
L - Ryvita & lf philly & relish, 3/4 apple & 1/3 banana (shared with DD)
D - hm veg soup & toast, sf jelly & raspberries

prettybird · 13/09/2010 16:43

I think I too will move my weigh in to a Friday because I don't want to have to face up to the damage done by all the home baking for ds' birthday party. Grin

Have done the Shred 4 times now (including today): my arms are getting slightly stronger - I am not grimacing quite as much Wink

GT - it is the squat and arm raises as well as the anterior lifts which I struggle with. The "fly" lifts are OK - I could probably even cope with heavier weights than the puny 1kg weights I currently use. Happy to advise on CVs - can write a mean one myself, even if I say so myself :)

Bebe - hope you and family are feeling better soon. Like the "slimmer of the year" photo :)

Blondes - I'll join you at the weigh-in on Friday :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/09/2010 20:41

so we are all weighing on a friday :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/09/2010 06:40

That will be good blondes I reckon. it will help the momentum.

Massive and total
Sigh

Sts I really have been good all week and back on my bike and everything. Feel despondent now. Sob.

Will weigh in on Friday this week. It will be Fabulous Friday.
X

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2010 07:23

i on the other hand feel crap,my head aches,my eyes throb and throat is sore and i sound like a man :(

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/09/2010 07:56

Blondes. You poor thing. How miserable for you. [Sad]

Hope you perk up.

Sts is a pain up the bum. Especially when one has been trying.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/09/2010 07:59

That was Sad

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2010 09:21

thats what my friend said on fb, that i winge and sound like a man - cheeky bint!!!

GettinTrimmer · 14/09/2010 10:19

piste I found it just too easy to gain 2lb, so sts disappointing but still good.

blondes Hope you are feeling better soon. well done for soldiering on, if you didn't mb wouldn't be able to work?

I have blunt friend as well, I either take in on the chin or tell her I don't like it. Then she thinks I shouldn't be offended!

I must go for a run now, the Great South Run is not far away and after my holiday not got back into it. Have to shop at Sainsbos for a few bits and bobs so please tell me to avoid the carrot cake.....

LizinFrance · 14/09/2010 10:38

Hi all,

Friday sounds a good day for weighing in. Havent weighed in since started so I did this morning. Lost 3 lbs, so chuffed - despite hubby buying all the chocolate

Sorry, cant remember who it was that asked, but my kids are dd 11, ds 9, ds, 3 and dd 7 months. Slightly calmer now that all but littlest at school. They do keep me busy too. all the evening things seem to be on different days this year too! MIL arriving for a week today so help with the laundry yeah!!!!

Weather here lovely - how is it is the UK?

Good luck everyone, hope you have a good.

Liz

PS Whats the shred?

GettinTrimmer · 14/09/2010 10:45

Hi Liz, the shred is a DVD 20 minutes long, challenging but very good, 3 mins of strength training (semi press ups etc), 2 minuts of cardio, 1 minutes of abs work. You can pick it up for about £6 on Amazon.

Well done on your 3lb Smile

pretty forgot to mention, any advice on how to write a CV would be welcome. I feel a little lost at sea, so far have applied for library jobs but will have to widen my search.

OP posts:
prettybird · 14/09/2010 10:50

GT - I have sent you a CAT request. It would be easier to discuss actual examples - which would probably meant revealing too much detail on the thread.

huffythethreadslayer · 14/09/2010 12:29

I was referred to this thread by Blondeshavemorefun. Can I join please? I haven't got my weight fully sorted yet, but I'm about 3st over. Am waiting to start pointing again, after many years of lapsing, and really lose some weight.

Hope this is o.k :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2010 13:07

hi huffy - welcome :)

as i said we are lovely bunch of ladies, none of knew of each other on mn before starting this thread, but as time grow on, and we grew slimmer Grin we are best of friends now

add your name to the list (if you are brave)

TRIMMER thats right if i wasnt here, mb wouldnt be able to work, she rang earlier to see how i was (bless her) i said babs was in bed and i was snuggled on sofa

LIZ well done on 3lb loss, thats fantastic

add spinach 0p and 100g grapes 1p for my lunch and possibly i might have a waitroise snack bar for 1p, they do apricot/rasspberry/ginger and turkish delight flavour and with my fishcake and 0 point veg whole lunch was 6.5p :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/09/2010 14:31

Well done Liz. 3lbs is very good indeed!

Welcome Huffy. Add yourself to the list. The key to success is staying with it. This is for the long haul. Good luck.

I shouldn't be on here right now so must dash!

prettybird · 14/09/2010 14:50

Welcome Huffy. :)

I have a new target: 4 December, which is when the Scottish Christmas meet-up will be. It would be nice to have lost at least another stone by then - if not a stone and a half.

Have done Day 5 of the Shred now. Am even thinking of upping the wieghts for the "fly" :)(but not for anything else Grin)
