glad you hate anita as well Grin

i had physio for 6mths and as long as i take things at my pace im ok, tho i cant run anymore (possibly why i got porky)

my knees disgustingly crunch and dh HATES me crunching them by bending down and if you put your hand on my knee cap you can feel it grind

if dh pisses me off, i just stand infront of him and bend my knees and they click/grind/crunch and he hates it and covers his ears

i know what i can and cant do with it, and there is no way that i can do jump thrusts, will def being doing easy anitas workout

GettinTrimmer · 10/09/2010 10:54

Good luck with weigh in today Blondes.

Bit like my ds, he burps on demand to annoy dh sometimes, you've got your knees for that!

How are you slinkies today?

I had a sizeable breakfast, but hungry again, must be boredom as I am sorting out a pile of papers and tidying.

arms ache a bit today, but have just been to the gym,the last few press ups were a killer at end of class, we did 30 Shock

bebejones · 10/09/2010 13:17

Sorry I have been so rubbish at responding to people this week, just been one of 'those' weeks IYKWIM?

Have been a bit better today (so far)

B - OJ & yoghurt
L - chcken noodle soup, ryvita (x2) & 3/4 apple (shared with DD)
D - jacket potato

will have some kind of treat later after my jab! But as usual have tried to 'allow' for it in my calories for today! :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/09/2010 13:19

bebe, hope jab isnt too bad ((hugs))

glad week is better for you

Murtette · 10/09/2010 18:54

Well done Blondes!

Bebe - hope the jab is OK. You haven't had any more flare ups since the bad one before your DD's bday, have you?

I've had a couple of bad days as have had AF but am trying to keep within points again today. I think I've probably earned a few activity ones as walked miles - including some steep hills on rough terrain which, with DD in her pushchair, was hard work!

Thanks for all of your suggestions for 1st bday presents. A ride on something it will be!

Have a good weekend everyone.

bebejones · 10/09/2010 19:24

Murtette - we all have bad days! :o Then we come on here and get our butts kicked!!

Used to the jabs now, & am quite good at it, doesn't even hurt & I don't get any side effects anymore! No more relapses since the one a couple of months ago...but I stop my jabs at the end of this month! Soooo hoping I don't relapse before Christmas, DH will be mega cross coz he didn't want me to stop! :( I got my own way in the end! Ultimately it's my body & I'm the one who has to deal with it & the consequences! As I pointed out, I could stay on the drugs & still relapse as we proved before! Rant over! :o

Been naughty this evening, my treat (hm brownies) is waaaaaaay more cals than I thought! Will have to be extra extra good over the weekend now, although doing a roast on Sunday, will just have to fill up on veg!

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/09/2010 20:31

Envy at bebes brownies

murtette. We all have bad days. Best thing to do is to forget it and start again tomorrow

I have just had a chinky and had crispy chilli beef and my mouth is on fire but gawd it was yummy

sure I read somewhere that the hotter food is the more calories you burn off digesting it

bebejones · 11/09/2010 07:48

Completely forgot we are going out for dinner tonight for a friends birthday! I'll be having salad :( It's a yummy Greek fusion place as well, I'd love to have some of the yummy stuff, including the Moussaka which is sooooooooo good (but covered in masses of cheese sauce)! :( I was hideously bad with the brownies last night & exercised absolutely no willpower what-so-ever!

GettinTrimmer · 11/09/2010 08:36

Weighed in today so that I can get back to my usual Saturday.

bebe Enjoy tonight! Could you just have a yummy main course (no starter/pudding/wine) and just make up for it tomorrow?

What did you decide to spend your John Lewis voucher on?

blondes interesting about spicy food, we are going out tonight to see that new film Tamara Drew, something to eat after.

murtette a couple of bad days is recoverable, just a few bad weeks (what I did over summer) takes a bit more dedication to overcome!

OP posts:
bebejones · 11/09/2010 09:45

Trimmer - was being good as having roast 2moro, I might have chicken salad then have some Eton mess (greek style Wink)

Haven't bought anything exciting with my vouchers yet. Got a few sewing bits and pieces that I wanted with some of it. (I know that sounds dull, but made me happy! :))

Well done on your 2lbs! :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/09/2010 12:44

well done trimmer

I'm off for a friends house warming party

i went to the gym this morning and worked bloody hard again :)

my arms really are protesting now, actually counted the press ups we did and was 28 deep ones and 12 double ones

OUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCH

bebejones · 11/09/2010 15:28

Have added my slimmer of the year style picture to my profile. Really made me feel good putting thos size 20 jeans on & seeing the difference! Was just the 'pick me up' I needed! :) I know I've lost alot of weight but sometimes just forget IYKWIM? Then I get a bit flippant about the whole thing!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend?

Blondes - OUCH :(

RatherBeOnThePiste · 11/09/2010 20:32

Lovely weekend thanks Bebe, Saturdays are busy for us DD does rowing and netball then it's homework all round but it's all very peaceful. I have been so good this week, back on my bike every day which I love and being careful again. It has taken me this long to realise that it is better when I plan what I will eat each day in advance!

Good pic too Bebe. That must feel good! I chucked it all out so I can't do slimmer of the year pics. Sadmaking.

Waves to all Slinks
Good luck for Monday's weigh in.

LizinFrance · 11/09/2010 21:16

Hi everyone,

Sorry havent had much time to post since I joined you. 4 kids keep me a tad busy!! Not had a bad week. All going fine til hubby did the shopping and bought some chocolate. If its in the house I just cannot leave it alone! Bit of a binge on it yesterday but back on track today. Do you all weigh in on same day? How does it work? Cheers

Liz
(trying soooo hard to resist the 'eat me' calls I can hear coming from that bloody chocolate!)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 12/09/2010 07:31

Morning Liz! It's no wonder you feel busy with four, my two ( 13&11) keep me more busy as they get older if anything more so! How old are your DC?

We all weigh in once a week but on different days. When we started everyone weighed on a Monday morning but that has settled into people doing what suits them best. I still do a Monday and I think bebe does too, so tomorrow I will be there. Gulp.

I think the key is keeping the momentum going and doing the weekly weigh if even if things go tits up one week.

Keep going- good luck!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/09/2010 09:40

Hi liz. Sounds manic :)

I have always weighed on a Friday and others on a Monday. Friday works better for me as if a busy/foody/drinky weekend then I can counter balance it over the next 4/5days

feel hungover today :( head hurts and throat is sore and I didn't even drink last night as drove

RatherBeOnThePiste · 12/09/2010 10:50

Poor blondes. Sounds like some lurgy. Hope you feel better soon.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/09/2010 11:08

thanks piste, feel rather sorry for myself today :(

bebe, fab photo, remember you have done so well :)

meant to be at friends bbq later, so will dose myself up and try and eat salad and maybe one burger/sausage tho chicken would be better if have any as then can point that easily

good luck with weigh in tomorrow girls

bebejones · 12/09/2010 14:51

Blondes - :( Hope you feel better soon

DD has a bug & spent most of last night crying, was up and down to her every 45-60mins until about 3!

Cooked a mega roast, am completely stuffed & wasn't good at all! Am going to make soup out of the leftover veg & DH is having chicken & stuffing sandwiches this week Envy

Have made a decision to change my weigh day to Fridays. My reasons are:

  1. As Blondes says you can be 'bad' over the weekend and make up for it in the week!
  2. Birthday/event season is nearly upon us in this house so there will be lots of 'bad' weekends!
  3. I go on holiday on 24th (Friday) so would be good to weigh before I go.

So I shall not be weighing (and therefore not depressing myself) 2moro morning but shall instead endeavour to be angelic Hmm all week & weigh on Friday! :o

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/09/2010 19:31

feeling a bit better but not headachy Sad

bebe, def a good idea to weigh fri, makes life easier :)

fraid i sinned at bbq Blush, had a burger in a bun/sausage/pork chop/spare rib (and gawd it was spare) Grin as well as potato salad/cous cous and cheese on burger

but i have all week to try and get it off

bebejones · 12/09/2010 20:17

food probably helped blondes, hope you feel better soon!

I've been bad all weekend, too much stuff going on/socialising to be good!

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/09/2010 20:44

sorry dd isnt very well, hopefully just a 24hr sickness bug

Murtette · 12/09/2010 22:24

The badness continued over the weekend as some friends came for dinner last night and brought After Eights with them which I love. Hopefully a very long walk plus lots of running around after DD will have counteracted some of the badness! And I've made a big pot of 0pt soup so will eat lots of that over the next couple of days.

Bebe - I made a lowish fat moussaka on Sat night which was really easy and v tasty - brown 500g extra lean mince then add 2 onions & garlic and cook for 5 mins and then add a tin of tomatoes and some parsley and cook for 20 mins; meanwhile, slice two aubergines and dry fry and use half to line the base of an ovenproof dish; cover the aubergine in mince and then cover that with the remaining aubergine; beat two eggs (or just three whites if being extra healthy) and add low fat yogurt and pour over the aubergine; sprinkle with parmesan.

Good luck for those of you weighing in tomorrow.
