Please don't talk about crisps! I manage to avoid them in the supermarket (unlike chocolate and biscuits) but offer me a packet or put some near me and they vanish.

Does anyone know if you can eat the skin of BNS? I just did roasted some BNS wedges without peeling it and it tasted yummy but wasn't sure if it was OK to eat it or not.

Feeling positive about WW meeting tomorrow as have been good all week. Only hiccups have been having a sliver of cake at a friend's house yesterday and a fairy cake at a friend's house today but as the baking had been done as I was coming to visit, I didn't feel I could refuse completely. What would the rest of you do? Oh, and supper went a bit pear shaped today as it was only half way through the recipe that I realised it served 4 rather than just 1! Luckily, I realised this before I'd done much of the non-0 pt ingredients.

Food today:
Oat So Simple + skimmed - 3ps
Carrot
Pasta bake + salad - 7ps
Apple - 1p
Roast BNS & feta salad with a tortilla - 6p
WW dessert - 1p

and that's my points for today as I'm doing Fast Start at the moment. I'll have three more points a day from next Weds.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 07/09/2010 20:57

LOL GT - I was so hungry this morning, I could have eaten old socks!!

Good luck Murtette for tomorrow!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/09/2010 21:24

Piste normally pickled onion then I breath on dh

murtette. Sorry I LOVE crisps and have a packet a day. Good luck with weigh in tomorrow and yes you can eat the skin of bns tho if Make soup it goes a bit bitty hence why I buy ready peeled

jodie. Good luck with weigh in

I can't do full press ups :( but can do them on bent knees at an angle iyswim

Murtette · 07/09/2010 21:39

Bebe/Blondes - grandparents etc are beginning to ask what DD would like for her first bday (and Xmas!). Any suggestions? I'd like her bday and Xmas presents to cover the full 12 - 24mth category.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/09/2010 22:16

Ride on toy on wheels - great for garden in summer or a ride on ladybird. Even my 7yr loves spinning on the ladybird

sandpit

sticklebrick

till/microwave from elc

anything annoying musical/noisey Grin

prettybird · 07/09/2010 22:32

What sort of price range Murtette?

I have never, even at my fittest, been able to do full push-ups. Even with bent knees, I find them difficult. With straight legs, I manage to go down about an inch Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/09/2010 22:57

That's what I meant.

Bent knees but striaght legs. I can do press ups like that :)

if too hard on floor then do against a wall. Still do wonders for your arms and abs if you hold stomach in

prettybird · 07/09/2010 23:20

I think we are talking about the same sort of press-ups: on your knees, but with your upper legs in a straight line with your body, all of which has to hinge down as you bend your arms.

I must have worked hard: I don't usually feel stiffness until at least 24 hours later, but both my thighs, my arms and my chest muscles are all feeling the effects Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/09/2010 23:36

Indeed we are prettybird

I'm gonna have to unwrap The plastic and open the DVD box and do the shred arnt I?

I brought it and havnt even looked at it Blush

I did read back of it earlier and 3 levels and 20mins a level

can't be that hard - can it Grin

I promise shall try thur or fri when not working

what levels do you all do or do you do all 3 in one go ie exercise 60mins

prettybird · 08/09/2010 00:06

The 20 minutes of Level 1 is plenty Grin

I am certain that I will be doing level 1 for more than 10 days - she says that yuo move on to the next level when you feel ready Hmm

I can do the "main", as opposed to the beginner, version of most of the exercises - especially the abs ones. But I most definitely can't do the "main" press-ups! Not I ever will.

My excuse only starting today and for not doing the DVD when it arrived on Friday was that my friend was here. What's your excuse?

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2010 07:36

no excuse i brought it as someone on this thread reconmended it

but i do go to the gym 3 times aweek and do body combat (a very physical active class)

prettybird · 08/09/2010 08:21

That's why I bought it too :)

Congratulations on going to the gym and doing the class - I just do Pilates once a week. It all adds up.

GettinTrimmer · 08/09/2010 09:57

I am just about to do level 1 of the shred again. I did get up to Level 2 but it all slipped Blush

Can't face running today as the ground's wet and need to get a new pair of trainers.

blondes x3 gym and bc is doing well, good thing about the shred is 20 mins then it's over but I found it the hardest exercise I'd ever done!

murtette agree with Blondes about a ride on toy, my dd loved anything like that.

pretty when I first did level 1 of the shred I don't think I followed the exercises properly and my back ached for days! Are you planning to do it every day?

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2010 13:13

ok, i will attempt the shred level one tomorrow, its only 20mins, how hard can it be .......

b banana speciak k bites 3p
l ham and salad sandwich/fruit tube,snack bar 5.5

think dh has brought steak for tea Shock think its about 5p, so not 100% sure i will have that

good luck with weigh ins tonight

bebejones · 08/09/2010 14:21

Flying visit! Hope everyone is ok, had a busy couple of days!

Tried coaxing DD to eat by making sweetcorn fritters she didn't eat them but I had 3! Really cross with myself!

B - OJ & yoghurt
L - 3 fritters, half a piece of flapjack & an apple
D - fake carbonara.

Hopefully will be back later.....

JODIEwantsanewname · 08/09/2010 15:50

Hi all,

Weigh in tonight and again crapping myself, I have been super good this week, but last week I couldn't make the 7pm meeting so had to go to the 10am one, so the difference between morning and night weight is such a difference, I am trying to 'starve' myslef today! (welll I had a bowl of cornfalkes for brekkie (2pts) and 0 point soup for lunch) so I should hopefully be OK!

Murtette I so agree about ride on toys! I know on our anti natal threads on the babies first birthdays I think most of them got a SmartTrike (Bebe will vouch for this!) and they are good for using instead of a pushchair!

I'll be back later to update
x

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2010 17:53

you generally weigh 3lbs less in the morning then evening

prettybird · 08/09/2010 20:17

Hope the weigh in went well Jodie!

I did the Shred again today - and yes, GT, I am planning on doing it most days: it is only 20 minutes :)

I was really struggling with the squats and arm raises - some awful grimacing towards the end Blush My arms are still sore form yesterday.

GT: I wonder if your back ache was to with not using your core muscles properly and/or not positioning correctly during the abs section. The down side of her being full-on for the 20 minutes is that she doesn't spend that much time on ensuring you know what the correct positions are. Fortunately, I have done Pilates for over 10 years, so I can get into position for the crunches, reverse curls and criss-cross (can't remember what she calls it - that's the Pilates name) very quickly.

JODIEwantsanewname · 08/09/2010 21:10

Hi all, I lost 1lb! Not bad going considering the night time/daytime weighing thing! So next week I will have an even keel thing going on, so better to be good!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2010 21:17

Well done jodie :)

dh cooked steak and mixed peppers with sweet chilli sauce. Was yummy

bebejones · 09/09/2010 09:17

had a pretty crappy day in the end yesterday
:(

Will try & behave today!

Well done jodie!

Blondes, steak sounds yummy!

Pretty - ouch!

GettinTrimmer · 09/09/2010 12:14

Have you done the dvd yet Blondes?

My pectoral muscles are aching today!

Bebe - Are you still on the soups? Just the best weight loss food imo as they are so filling. Where did you get the ginger nairns in the end? I can't find them atm.

pretty - Those arm raises - are they the ones at the end before the combined cardio? They are called anterior raises and I find them v. challenging.

OP posts:
bebejones · 09/09/2010 12:19

Trimmer - am still mostly on soups. Having pesto pasta for lunch today then soup & ryvita for dinner. If I just had soups I think I'd go crazy. Just got the munchies so bad at the moment, think it's AF looming & putting me off! :(

Even the thought of the shred makes me ache and feel knackered! Wink :o

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/09/2010 15:39

afternoon :)

my steak was yummy tho dh did go a little ott with the sweet chilli sauce and my nose was streaming

Grin

sorry you had a bad day yesterday bebe, hopefully today will be better

ive just done the 30day shred, level 1, dare i say that it was pretty easy apart from the press ups

yes i sweated and good to have a 321 workout in 20mins but it wasnt as bad as i thought

then again im used to doing 50 mins of hard cardial work and 10mins cool down/stretch

and ive also walked 3miles this morning with a friend and im doing the gym tonight

tho see how i feel tom Grin

i may be eating my words tho very impressed that i would have done 3 lots of exercise today :)

also have to say i HATE anita and her flat toned tummy

i have done watched Grin level 2 and tbh doubt i will be able to do some of it/squat thrusts as of my knee (i discolated my knee and popped the cap out about 4yrs ago and is dodgy)

GettinTrimmer · 09/09/2010 19:43

I have watched level 2 with a cup of tea and a biscuit but did get there before everything went to pot at the beginning of the summer hols.

I did wonder if you would find it less challenging Blondes, you do strenuous exercise anyway.

ikwym about Anita

That dislocated knee sound nasty, do you still have treatment for it?
