I love bns soup. So yummy and sweet but zero points :)

weigh in tomorrow

I went to an all you can eat Chinese buffet for lunch with dh Blush

but I did try and eat healthily :)

bebe. Why are you having a bad day?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/09/2010 06:47

Morning Slinks,

Back to the school routine yesterday. DS is loving it so far but then there was lamb curry for lunch with naan. It doesnt get much better than that!! The test will be when he goes to and comes home from school in the dark and he has a pile of homework and a maths test looming!

Good luck everyone and Blondes, stop yer trembling!!

Nice soup Murtette. I do like bns but find it an arse to peel, do you? I could do something like that for lunch.

It seems like most Slinks are on WW now?

JODIEwantsanewname · 03/09/2010 07:45

Hello Ladies,

I too have an internet shop coming this afternoon and I have stocked up on 0pt soup ingredients!
Are there any good WW recipe books out there? Although I do get about 4-5 recepes each week from the meeting and there are about 7-8 recepes in the magazine each month, so I might find some good ones in those!

Piste Glad DS is enjoying school, but Sad that it won't be long until its dark all bloody day and we are stuck indoors as there is sod all to do as it all costs too much money.

I'm dreading this winter, am so nervous about walking on the ice again after last years debarcle.

Blondes Envy at your all your con eat buffet. Good luck with weigh in x

Murtette Yum at BNS soup. I might try that next week. Do you go to the meetings or just do it yourself?

Bebe are you OK flower?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/09/2010 08:15

Jodie - how is your arm?
One of DD's mates broke her elbow at a similar time and it's still not right.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/09/2010 08:44

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i sts, was good ALL week and then had my buffet yesterday, surely a few chicken satay/balls etc cant be thaT Bad? Hmm

oh well, i did lose 3 lbs last week - so i will think of it as 2lbs last week and 1 lb this week Grin

i buy lazy peoples ready chopped bns - waitrose and sains sell it - more exp but saves me time so i dont care

bebejones · 03/09/2010 09:00

I'm ok, just feeling a bit low & sorry for myself but is way too complicated to explain & I'm sure I'll get over it! Having to wear the v tight Tesco jeans as got duck poo on my nice ones! (Don't ask!!) So thats making me feel all fat and flabby! Having said that, they aren't as tight as when I first got them so must be losing weight still!

Mmmmm BNS soup. Haven't had it in a while, might have to get some at the weekend. Blondes - Tesco sell it chopped too & it's on offer alot, I buy it ready chopped too! :o Well done on sts!

Jodie - please share some recipes! I'm stuck in a rut again!

Can't wait til next week when toddler group & music group are back on for DD, feeling a bit cabin feverish!

Off out to see my very PG friend, she's having the baby next week! Very exciting! Going to let the DDs have a play before she is house bound for a bit! Will try & post a bit more this weekend...promise!

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/09/2010 09:05

aww bebe, blonde looks over her shoulder and gives a very un mn hug

((HUGS)) hope you are ok

duck poo? you must explain Grin

at yes may be tight jeans but least you are in them

forgot to say im back into a pair of my size 12 jeans Grin yet another pair of 14 are still tight but wearable - but CANT fit into my sexy trousers which is my aim, but hey i had better when i lose another 12lbs

someone said they did a aibu of jean sizes but couldnt find it

but yes different shops are different in sizes and piss's me off

bebejones · 03/09/2010 13:16

Went to local wetlands centre with DD on weds & got some of the copious amounts of duck crap on my jeans! Last time we went DD sat in some & I can't get the stain out of her leggings! Blush Vile stinky stuff it is too!

I hate that jeans sizes are different in different shops, it's so frustrating! Especially for people like me who hate trying stuff on in shops! :o

Just had a long chat with my mum to try & make me feel better...not sure it helped Hmm

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/09/2010 13:28

mums arent always helpful, friends are better, they are generally more truthful

duck poo sounds vile, maybe soak in vanish

and yes different size jeans BUG me Angry

went to the gym today and jut about to have a sweet chilli chicken noodle things - 6pts and going to have with loads of 0 point veg

not sure about tea yet, might forridge in the freezer - maybe fish

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/09/2010 14:28

Blondes.....I did an AIBU about buying jeans quite recently. DH can buy from Gap or Similar without trying on but there are so many cuts and styles for us that would be impossible. Gets on my tits.

Hope you feel better Bebe!

DD is a bridesmaid this weekend. She will look fab. DS is in decline about his outfit of chinos and a shirt. I got a lovely dress from Monsoon in the end but it is something I will wear in the real world too. Have a lovely weekend and good luck for monday Skinks!

JODIEwantsanewname · 03/09/2010 14:30

Bebe Big hugs to you, duck poo sounds awful! Sorry if this is a contentious subject, but are you TTC this christmas? [broody emoticon]

Piste My arm isn't right either, when I try to straighten it, it only goes so far, consultant thinks he might have to operate again as it doesn't look like bone has set right, he is going to wait until January, to give it a full 12 months and then take another x ray and take it from there, as operating means moving the nerve that controls the fingers and it's quite a risk Sad
Are you booked to go skiing this winter?

Blondes I usually find that when I've had a big dinner the night before it 'sits' there for a couple of days, so you might find that you have actually lost weight, but the chinese might have hidden it for a couple of days, does that make sense? Even so,STS is still good!

I've got a bad day coming up tomorrow, We're off to Thomasland tomorrow and taking a picnic, so will ave to be super good and not pick at the boys 'treats' and try to restrain from the Ice cream! as tomorrow night there is a 'concert' on in our village park, live music, picnic, that kind of thing, which wil no doubt entail alot some alcohol, which is a points killer if ever there was one!!!

Picnic will consist of
3 x ryvita and soft cheese (2pt)
Strawberries (1pt)
Crisps (2pts) (I can't be that good!)

Have planned a quick stirfry for dinner, but need to bulk it up with noodles if I'm drinking, as Im driving to Manchester Sunday morning, so can't be rough!

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/09/2010 14:52

I have crisps every day. But try to have 1.5p ones. Thus saving 3.5p a week iyswim

Monster munch are my fav and 1.5p

wosits are good to suck and savour 1.5

skips 1.5p

French fries are 1p from multipack buy I dot feel I've eaten crisps so generally don't eat them

walker lites are 1.5p

sure there Re others but can't think at the moment

bebejones · 03/09/2010 15:56

Piste - I find Gap jeans are about a size smaller than labelled. Their kids clothes are small too, which is fine for DD who is teeny but I when I worked there we had a lot of returns of stuff that was too small!

Jodie - your guess is as good as mine, it's this issue bringing me down right now. Bloody DH keeps changing his mind! (It's more complicated than that, but that's the short version!) Angry :( My mum is on 'my side' but having talked to her about it I feel no better! Friends are off limits for this discussion, don't really want friends knowing IYSWIM?
Sorry your arm is still not right. Are you having physio?

Blondes - vanish hasn't shifted the duck poo...am going to try some napisan, but keep forgetting to buy it!

Have eaten too much flapjack (homemade) at least it's got fruit in right? Hmm

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/09/2010 17:00

soory bebe, hopefully you and dh can resolve the ttc issue x

ive just etane a double chocolate chunk biscuit, well 2 actually Blush

dh fault, he brought them and hasnt eaten them

laughalot · 03/09/2010 18:20

Hi bebe hope you sort the ttc issue out I remember those chats with my dh far to well.

Blondes nom nom nom they sound very yummy, dont worry to much about the chinese you might as jodie says lose alot next week.

Jodie we love thomas land have a fab day.

I think im going to start spinning next week did it about two years ago im just worried people will think im too fat Blush.

Murtette · 03/09/2010 20:33

Jodie - I find that there are some good recipes in the Irresistible mag which WW does quarterly. Also, have you tried any of the ones in the little folder when you start? We've had the chicken balti and the pork casserole this week for supper and both were delicious. The portion of the casserole wasn't massive but I just had mounds of 0 pt veg with mine.

I also buy the ready prepared BNS. I was so excited the first time I spotted that in the supermarket!

Blondes - a big meal the day before a weigh in definitely means I won't lose. You should see a decent loss next week though as you'll have the double whammy of this week's loss as well as next week.

Bebe - duck poo is miserable. I used to cox and always seemed to end up kneeling in it whilst getting in or our of the boat. Grr. TTC conversations are NOT easy, are they?

Piste - can you post a link to your AIBU? I had a look for it but couldn't find it. Has your DD managed to avoid bird poo so far in her rowing career?

Have a good weekend everyone

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/09/2010 21:51

Salmon fishcake,bns,carrits&brocolli 4 p

I'm hoping for a loss next week. Must rem
NOT to eat thur lol

body combat tomorrow then at another wedding crèche and will be am emotional one as I'm looking after a little boy with severe special need. :(

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/09/2010 22:25

The link is here I hope
tWas a bit of fun but very nice that the overwhelming majority agreed with me!!

Thank you murtette, DD has avoided duck poo so far in her rowing career. Her friend is coxing at the mo and loves the little headset thingy. DD likes stroke ( I think) in a quad but it's all experimental at present.

Blondes - hope the crèche goes well tomorrow. From your list, I'd go for Wotsits every time. LOL!

Laughalot - go for it! Good luck with spinning.

Jodie - DDs friend also can't straighten her arm after the break. She actually broke her elbow and not on ice but on a garden trampoline Lawks. Surgery would be v frustrating for you I'm sure.

bebejones · 04/09/2010 09:59

Piste - hope the wedding goes well!

Blondes - good luck for the wedding creche

Laughalot - I'm sure you will be fine at spinning!

Just cut DHs hair and now have that horrible itchy feeling with all the little bits of hair everywhere! YUK!

Got another busy weekend & had a rubbish nights sleep which means I haven't slept off the effects of my jab so feel a bit achey & grumpy this morning! :(

Hope everyone has a nice weekend, at least the sun is shining here!

GettinTrimmer · 04/09/2010 16:28

Back from France, bitten all over by mozzies but had an absolutely fab time!!

Did some sightseeing but was a bit limited iykwim as dc like the pool/beach, beach/pool, pool/beach Grin but saw Antibes, Nice, Cannes and a medieval village, Biot, travel by train and bus very cheap, but 3 Euros for an ice cream.

at the weight gain though (of course, my own fault!), I can feel my midriff has expanded with all the french bread, croissants, pain au chocolat, crepes, pizzas, wine, beer, etc, etc. Will weigh in on Monday this week with other Slinkies not my usual Saturday.

PBM Hope you can come back and say hello, will miss you. IKWYM though about the time-consuming aspect of mumsnet, nowadays I just come on this thread or I wouldn't get much else done! Do take care xx

Piste Glad you had a great time with db and family, I am joining you back in the zone. Especially as reality has dawned on me and I have to run 10 miles on 24th October Shock Hope dd is OK, she is so lucky to be tall, my niece is 6ft and gorgeous but used to be self-conscious during the teen years.

Laughalot Great to see you back! We will deal with the gains together and IKWYM about how losing weight did so much for us. I did fit into my size 12 white skinny jeans when I was 11 stone 3.

Good luck with your classroom assistant job apps x

Blondes I hope dh stuff is sorted a bit more now. Very well done on your 3lb, sts after such an impressive loss is good.

jodie I couldn't agree more about how difficult it is to diet during the summer months. I just went off the boil Sad

murtette Good luck with ww. I don't get away with not cleaning the floor even on holiday as we had to mop the mobile home out or forfeit our cleaning deposit!

bebe You are brave to cut dd's hair, I once did an ex-boyfriend's and he ended up with a Phil Oakey (80s band Human Leage? Or am I just too old? Grin). Hope you get a good night's sleep x

Pretty You 'n' me both with the 30 Day Shred. It is very good. Blondes are you doing it too now it's September? Hope you mum continues to settle. And you are supposed to be my virtual running partner!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2010 17:47

glad you had a fab holiday

dh stuff is getting better, def better than 2weeks ago lol

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm about shred, have the dvd but who knows if i will open it Grin

creche went well, tho 2 boys were def sn but lovely with it, tho we didnt get paid - well we had to go and hunt down out money Angry

GettinTrimmer · 04/09/2010 18:35

What a cheek, not in too much of a hurry to pay you then.

When are you having your child-free booze up? Grin

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2010 18:41

i know, normally get money in envelope on the day or sent BEFORE the day never had to go and hunt down the money (well apart from one drunken time with a dad, who wanted longer, but he paid up once i found him in the billairds room!!)

i need a child free piss up, well without booze as well lol - empty calories Grin

bebejones · 04/09/2010 19:53

GT - glad you had a good holiday, very Envy

Blondes - what a bloody cheek!! Shock Glad it went well other than that though!

Right ladies, polish up your kicking shoes I need big kicks up the butt! I have been more bad than good lately & have been v lucky to sts (fearing a gain Monday) I need motivating! But it looks like TTC is (sort of) back on the cards....with that in mind I have to lose these last few lbs by Christmas at the very latest! 2 more (at least, we shall see Monday Confused) to reach 'target' but ideally 9 more for me to be really happy! Please please give me a stern talking to & plenty of backside kicking. Have been feeling low & sorry for myself all week & I need to snap out of it!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2010 21:07

tbh bebe i think you have done so well that im not going to kick your butt

you have done better than ANY of us and lost so much weight, you really must be proud of yourself and i hope dh is as well
