Must be something wrong with me coz I love rice pudding too...especially cold! Blush :o

I do like cream teas, but have to be in the mood for it & I'm not the biggest fan of clotted cream....could really eat one now though! :o

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/08/2010 11:24

bebe, we need your rain, dh normally cuts loads of lawns each week and hasnt done any for ages as grass brown/dry/withering

child free party a la piss up will be arranged at chez blondes Grin

off for a meal at my darling auntys house today (uncle died of bone marrow cancer last year Sad )

LOVE egg custard

bebejones · 15/08/2010 12:20

Blondes - you are welcome to the rain, help yourself! We haven't had 2 dry days together for weeks & the grass is just too wet to cut, which is only getting worse as it gets longer!
:( about uncle, have a nice time with your aunty

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/08/2010 12:42

Blondes .....where are you that you've had to rain?! My grass sounds like Bebes, but I am going to cut it today as long as it doesn't rain later. We had monsoon like rain yesterday.

PBM ..... Is your DH fasting? If so I hope it is going well. How old will your boys need to be to take part too?

Bebe...It sounds like you have a paddock not a garden! Do the only decent thing and buy your DD a cute pony Hmm who will eat your grass!! Failing that a sheep/ goat!

Trimmer ..... We have the next whole week, then one and a half. Mine start on 1st. Bollocks that is soon. Sob. DS has cracked tie tying but he still looks like an Ofsted inspector in his blazer. Poor thing. He is going from a very liberal uniformed school into blazers, shirts and ties. Double sob. Enjoy your hols. Where to??!

bebejones · 15/08/2010 14:56

Piste - DD would love a goat! Hmm Sadly it may sound paddock like but it is about the size of a postage stamp!

We had torrential rain yesterday too, and more overnight, the grass & ground is still soaking even though it is sunny now. Fingers crossed it stays like this until 2moro then I can get DH out in the garden!

Have been and picked a few blackberries in the garden...it is that ovegrown out there! Going to freeze them so when the apples are ready next month I can make a crumble, yum! :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/08/2010 18:16

No rain today! Cor blimey.

So I whipped out and have just cut our grass.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/08/2010 22:10

im in kent, had the odd day of rain, ie last tue and yesterday but thats it, been so dry, tho cloudy at times, not the hot temp i would like lol

i need it to rain at night then be sunny/dry during the day or else dh gets soaked Sad

had a roast at auntys house and was yummy Grin

im off for another week, so trying to be good as been sooooooooo bad recently and as i said i think i will gain on fri Sad

bebejones · 16/08/2010 07:30

I knew it was bad, but it looks even worse as I haven't updated my part of the list in ages, I think it was GT who said she was finding the hols difficult. Me too. My brother and his family arrive from Japan on Friday, can't wait to see them especially my gorgeous twin nephews who are nearly 6, so lots of cooking and big family meals, really really lovely, but ever so hard to be a slink. I'm going to do the best I can but with renewed vigour from September 1st!

Haircuts today as neither DC want to have the new hair cut look on return to school! Well more so DS!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/08/2010 11:50

well done bebe :) on loss
piste ((HUGS)) at 4 lbs gain :( but you will get it off

holidays are buggers as kids/routine/planning all goes out the window

i will be sitting on the step of shame friday after my pigging out all last week, tho today im being very good :)

oast so simple
prawn+salad wrap (yes using 3.5p wrap but refuse to throw them away)
prob chicken/pasta/pesto

GettinTrimmer · 16/08/2010 17:14

piste Sad know where you are coming from, I am finding it very difficult to even sts, just complete break in the routine and holiday eating. All gone to pot atm.

We are going to the South of France for x2 weeks on Saturday, close to Antibes. Can't wait, but I have a 6lb gain this holiday already plus whatever I will put on I am anticipating going back up to 12 stone, but I WILL get it back off again.

dh coming home early tomorrow eve so that I can go running (although any calorie burn useless Blush), then going again on Thursday, and Great South Run coming. On a positive note I can still wear summer tops not fitted me for couple of years!

bebe well done on your 1lb

blondes well done on being good today!

Went on a picnic (another one!) nearby with the dc and met up with friend. Had ryvita and 40g of cheese, fruit as well, but did snack mid morning on hot cross bun and white finger roll. My apetite for some reason seems to have gone wild! And there's home made pizza cooking. Oh well.....

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/08/2010 18:25

Enjoy France GT and yes the weight will come off once you can set your mind to it. I have put on four pounds since we broke up but I will shift that and more. I do think our lives will be like this now though. None of us can ever totally relax or go back into bad habits or we will just gain all the weight again. I'm not going to do that. I feel cross with myself for being big for so long, I feel like I wasted my time. I like being size 12 so much more and looking at normal clothes etc. And I feel so much better!

Why did we waste our time being big my fellow Slinks??!!!

Congrats on pound lost BB
Enjoy your week Blondes.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/08/2010 18:43

trimmer , you WILL get it off again!!!! Smile

im still trying to get my holiday gain off

where are all the other slinkies?

GettinTrimmer · 16/08/2010 18:59

You have hit the nail on the head Piste. It's this going back to my bad carb queen bready habits that's doing it!

we'll stick with it blondes, the gains will go, I'm going to count down to Christmas with the slinkies. these old habits die hard.

Need to keep the thread going slinkies!

Hi all well i am finally back after a very stressfull week. Helped my friend and let her stay here with her girls as she fled her abusive boyfriend. She went home and invited him round and now they are back together. To top it all off she lied to me and i found out by chance. I guess there's not much i can do, not heard from her since.
I am very happy that i have still managed to keep up my weight loss and despite enjoying some of my sons birthday cake i am now down to 21st 6lb. I am looking forward to buying some new jeans as mine are now too loose and i love it. My biggest goal now is to get below 20st. I haven't been below 20 for years.
We have been growing our own cucumbers and tomato's and they are really nice. Still enjoying the wraps too. I hope everyone is ok and i apologise i don't get alot of time to get on here but once the kids go back to school i will have more time. Thanks again everyone for the support it is really helping.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/08/2010 19:19

daisy, your silly friend going back to an abusive boyfriend, but i have been in the same situation and there is nothigf you can do Sad

Poohbearsmom · 16/08/2010 19:46

Hi everyone congrats on the losses :) sorry bout the gains :(
fasting away and im presently ravenous!! But iv some lovely food waiting... Too lovely infact Blush
Piste the boys dont have to fast till in their teens but most kids like to "train" the few years before they really have to like my nephew who's 9 fasts from lunch time till 8 but can eat/drink any time he likes he just wants to join in with everyone iykwim and his big sister fasted 5 days her first year, 10 the next year and has been fasting the whole month since she's now 17. The hardest part when they are teens is getting them to get up and have a meal in the night, tis hard enough as an adult but teens seem to be more unconscious then asleep at night (or at least thats how i was Grin ) we always tell the boys they'r fasting and they break their fast with us even though they.v had their dinner an hour earlier but it just makes it fun for them :)

daisy well done at sticking with it with all that stress going on. Im sorry your friend let you down like that :(

Trimmer have a lovely holiday mmmmmmm french food... Plenty of fresh fruit for breakie to counteract the rest of the day!

Blondes iv done a rain dance for you and the irish rain should be heading your way soon Grin switch back to the pittas after the wraps have gone

Bebe i would love to have blackberrys growing in my own garden! For some unbeknown reason the flowers i planted all around the edges decided to grow all over the lawn instead and it looks stupid but the boys happily take their heads off daily so its bearly noticeable Grin

hello everyone else iv to go get scrummy food ready now so will sign off... Take care all xxx

prettybird · 16/08/2010 21:45

Don't know how I managed it (after 8 nights in a hotel, business lunches and access to free alcohol in the Exec Lounge) but I have lost a pound! Confused :) Had a good trip to Iceland: weekend for ds doing touristy things (including getting soaked by Strokkur, the reliable geysir Grin) and then a week of intense business meetings (ds was a star, playing quietly in the corner and enjoying his weekly swims in the hot public swimming pools). Maybe the adrenalin of the meetings helped keep the weight off Hmm

So.....

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/08/2010 22:15

WELL DONE PRETTYBIRD!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/08/2010 08:17

LOL at the vision I have of PBM's raindance for Blondes !!

We had rain overnight - hope Kent did too...

Big congrats to Pretty for the loss. Sounds like a good trip was had by all too!

Am waiting for the plumber. He could come 8.30-1. Anyone want to guess when he gets here?!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/08/2010 11:51

indeed we had rain Smile thanks pbm

the plumber could come at any time, i had autoglass coming 7-12 last week for works car,so i collected it (they are away) and then had at mine, autoglass rang up at 10ish and said they were knocking at the house and no one was there - yes the stupid twat had gone to work, even tho paperwork clearly said to come to my address Hmm

im in a good place with diet today, tho for tea i will be having popcorn as im going to see toy story 3 with my bf and no kids Grin

Poohbearsmom · 17/08/2010 12:47

Envy major toy story envy! How can you resist nachios popcorn's not too bad as long as ya dont get em to drown it in better or anything Grin

Piste i did my plumber dance and your plumber should arrive at 1:37pm........ Grin what do i win btw???

PRETTYBIRD wow that is fantastic! Well done :) hows your mum btw?

I had toasted banana and date bread for breakie twas lovely and i didnt even use any sugar in the recipe cause the banana and dates are so sweet anyways. Now roll on 9pm...

GettinTrimmer · 17/08/2010 14:24

Hi Slinkies

prettybird very well done on your 1lb, that is great

piste grotty drizzly day here, dc have a friend each to play, so they're happy. Ds & mate are playing with foam swords I picked up from Sainsbos Grin dd & friend playing with ker plunk

blondes I had an autoglass man knock on my door insisting my car needed doing - his satnav sent him my way by mistake. Sadly he didn't look like the young man on the advert Grin

Rubbish with the diet again today, after making cheese rolls, and getting the chocolate out I lost it yet again Blush BUT I am going out for a (careful) run - slightly nervous about the ground being slippy with this unpleasant drizzle.

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 17/08/2010 14:26

Apparently Toy Story 3 has a different slant this time. Let us know what it's like Blondes.

We are off to see Cats & Dogs, Revenge of Kitty Galore tomorrow
