Quiet in here at the moment! Guess everyone is off on their hols!

Murtette I'm sure that'll come off quickly, drink plenty of water this week you might find that helps!

JODIEwantsanewname · 28/07/2010 13:37

Morning - I've been gone for AGES and Blondes is still on about her Sausages !!!

Murtette Very about your hols, where did you go? I put 4lbs on on my week

pretty sorry to hear that your going through a rough time atthe moment. (hugs)

Alibaba I'm guessing that you are 'up the duff' congratulations, how far gone are you?

Laughalot Congrats on your results, you clever thing you!

Trimmer how you getting on? Are you still running?

I have been so good this last couple of days, but I'm stuck at home today and the tempation to snack is driving me mad I must keep myself busy, I must keep myself busy, I must keep myself busy (repeat to fade) Hopefully my shopping will be here soon and I can take the boys for a run at the park.

Today I have had
1xpancake - 95 cals
1x Chicken sandwich - 300 cals
and dinner is chicken salad
This should allow me to have popcorn tonight at the Cinema, is a girly outing to see the new Twilight, I'm so excited!!!!!

GettinTrimmer · 28/07/2010 16:26

Afternoon all

jodie have a good time tonight

Not great with exercise or running atm, school holidays and can't be doing with going out in the evening to exercise. The snack monster has got the better of me just lately

murtette I think post holiday 2lb gain is pretty good, it'll come off

bebe I'm still around, going away early next week for a couple of days then again last 2 weeks in August. can't wait!!

It's ds's birthday today. 8 yrs old. He keeps asking me when he will be 8 years old exactly I will remind him at 5pm. We are going to laser zone this evening.

GT - Happy Birthday to DS

Jodie - I am Just 5+4, so still v.early days. Have fun this evening!

I've been ok today, went for quite a long walk this morning so feel a bit more virtuous.

I've not had a chance to look at the DVDs yet, was planning to while DS napped this afternoon, but he didn't go to sleep so it will have to be tomorrow.

Murtette · 28/07/2010 21:39

GT - happy birthday to your DS. I hope he enjoyed the laser quest and has a fab summer holiday. My brother is a summer baby and had such a struggle at primary school compared to me (Nov birthday). It made such a difference at the time although didn't in the long run - he got slightly better A levels than me and we both went to Cambridge.

Blondes - how was the picnic

Jodie - welcome back! Have you fully recovered from your broken arm?

Ali - I know you were asking the other day about exercising/diet & pregancy. I stopped running at 9 wks as my boobs were just so tender that I couldn't do it but kept doing aqua until about 30 wks although obviously ttowards the end had to do a variation of many of the exercises. I don't think you're upposed to do any ab work but can't really remember so double check. I tried to base my diet on WW but just upped the quantities for the first trimester but then my appetite went crazy and I just ate and ate and ate - hnce why I'm here!

Pretty - how is your Mum? It is so hard, isn't it?

Laughalot - well done. Are there any posts aavailable for this September or will you have to wait until next term before you apply?

Bebe - how are you feeling after yesterday's expedition to Tesco? Have your jeans fallen don yet? I thought of you today as my DD has just started crawling and crawled out of her trousers today as they were a bit big!

PBM - not sure if you're lurking, but, if you are, how are you?

GettinTrimmer · 29/07/2010 07:39

Morning all

Hope all's well today.

Unfortunately, ds's party didn't go too well, he fell over twice, ice packs, hurt his chin, so that meant he couldn't play with the laser guns and was upset that he came last. He melted down last night with the disappointment He had just wound down and chilled after the end of term.

Anyway, he will get over it, just so fed up at the bad luck, as I just said to him last night, sometimes we have good luck, sometimes we have bad luck.

Have a good day all. I would really like to have a decent couple of days diet-wise to minimise the damage. Can't seem to get motivated for exercise with dc to look after, but will try and fit in level 1 of the shred.

gym was cancelled

bet that buggers up my weight loss tomorrow

hows everyone else today?

bebejones · 29/07/2010 21:32

Trimmer - sorry your DS didn't have a good party

Murtette - Bless your DD crawling out of her trousers...you wait tils she's walking, my DD was always tripping over her trousers! (She's a short arse like me! )

Blondes - Boooo on cancelled gym o shortbread, wanted to make some yesterday but thankfully had no butter or plain flower!

Trousers still falling down, going to get some more next week when I get the last few bits for DDs birthday! Can't believe I might actually fit in a pair of size 12s, this time last year I was in size 20 jeans!

bebejones · 29/07/2010 21:35

plain flour Sorry, really tired!!

GettinTrimmer · 30/07/2010 12:21

Afternoon

bebe So happy for you, last year a size 20!!

We need to maintain, that's difficult, I think I've put on a little bit, can feel it on my midriff. Tomorrow will tell. I am also going out for a pub meal tonight, but couldn't face weighing in today as I have not been great again.

After the wedding on Sunday I want to have a final push before we go on holiday on 21st August.

Ds is alright now, thanks all for thinking of him, he's put the party out of his mind, without the stress of school/friendship worries he can get over it as we are just chilling and having fun

blondes sorry to hear gym cancelled, I agree exercise makes a big difference. Told the snack monster to piss off Sausages again tonight? I've just looked in the fridge and dh has put sausages on the top of some left over pizza!

murtette I know exactly what you mean about your brother having more of a struggle as a summer birthday child. My dd is 6 in January, she is happy go lucky, makes everybody laugh, nothing gets her down for very long. Nice to know your bro did really well eventually, my ds I think will need extra support for quite some time yet.

OP posts:
bebejones · 30/07/2010 13:00

I am worried how my DD will fare at school when the time comes. She is so much smaller than her peers anyway, plus having an August birthday means she will be one of youngest (if not the youngest)! That being said my mum's birthday is June & she was put up a year at school so was almost 2 years younger than some people in her year & she did alright!

Very nervous about trying on jeans in the shop. Don't feel like I 'belong' in a size 12 & worry that I'll get looks rom bitchy shop assistants!

I feel like I'm getting a bit wobbly again with not exercising so much. I am trying to walk to Tescos a couple of times (at least) a week & have started doing push ups/sit ups again. But don't want to push myself too much as I really feel it if I do!

Having to be uber good with the food over the last couple of days. We are having our annual t/a Indian on Saturday. (It was DDs EDD, 31st July, and we had an Indian to try & 'get her out'...didn't work, but we decided to always mark the occasion! ) Planning on having a chicken tikka (without sauce) and salad & possibly a chapati & some bombay potatoes. That's not too bad right?

prettybird · 30/07/2010 13:02

Sorry for the silence. Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts and hugs.

Mum is (unfortunately ) currently particularly lucid This has left dad very confused and feeling even more guilty. Yesterday when I visited she was actually reading a book, which she hasn't done for ages (she used to be an English teacher). Ok, it was just one of those wee "Joy of Grandparenting" books with lots of wee aphorisms - but it was something she had independently chosen to do. I have even managed to have some conversations with her - as long as I remember to re-word everything so nothing is a question (it's amazing how much of "ordinary" conversation consists of questions).

Anyway, diet wise I have not been good nor have I taken any exercise Back up to 13stone this morning Will have to work hard to get back to 12stone 12lb on Monday, just to "stay the same". I am also thinking of ordered the 30 day Shred.

Bebejones I am very impressed at yuor achievement. You must be really proud

GT - hope your ds has recovered now and can chill out and enjoy his holiday. The Scottish schools go back 2 weeks on Monday - I need to get organised, as we are away in Iceland the week before he goes back!

Ali - hope you are relaxing and not feeling too tired. I know I was really shettered during the first trimester - dh used to send me to bed for two hours in the early evening!

Murtette - I also gained 2lb while I was away - it's all that extra alcohol!

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/07/2010 16:02

i lost a lb

really pleased with this esp as i ate cakes/shortbread at the picnic and didnt go to the gym last night - course if i hadnt eaten the puddings and had gone to the gym then maybe i would have lost 2/3lbs

but im like a snail, slow and steady lol

still trying to get my holiday gain off for a few days fun and eating what i like,, it takes 2 mths to get the weight off

Blondes Well done on the 1lb!
BEbe BIG Congrats on the size 12 trousers, don't let the sales assistants belittle you, I bet it's all in your imagination, you've done so well!

Trimmer for your son's birthday, but glad he's felling better about it now

Pretty I've got the 20 day shred, it's very good, she's very scary! I feel like I personally let her down if I miss a day!

Well big new: I@VE LOST 2LBS!!!!!!!! {grin] I'm so very chuffed with myself, and thats only since Monday, I am at a wdding tomorrow night though, so will 'binge drink'

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/07/2010 17:56

well done jodie thats fab - drink and be merry at your wedding

GettinTrimmer · 31/07/2010 09:37

Completely my own fault. Have gained this week, 2lb I am demotivated atm, when I've tried to do my exercise dvds I've been interrupted by dc/phone and routine of healthy eating gone to pot.

I should drag myself out in the evenings for a run, but by the time dh has swanned in from the gym after work at 6.30pm I just do not feel like it.

Also wedding tomorrow, then we are going away for 2 days next week, to London, so I will try not to go mad.

I really do not want to gain this weight again.

Hope all well today. What's everyone's plans for the weekend? I am going to beauty salon soon to get eyebrows done, then getting hair done and finally I have to find a pair of black shoes to wear with my dress. We are supposed to be camping in the grounds tomorrow, but the weather doesn't look to good!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 31/07/2010 10:04

Morning everyone

Well done Blondes and Jodie

Prettybird - that is good about your Mum, although I can see why your poor Dad is struggling with it
Thoroughly recommend Shred - I only did it for 2 weeks before finding out I was pg but it made such a difference and I still feel the benefit.

GT - Can you negotiate with DH that he alternates gym days for a while to help you get back into your stride? Try and enjoy the wedding and your days in London

bebe - that is so fantastic about the jeans, you must be so so chuffed. I am a 20 in trousers at the moment, 18 in tops and dresses, although the trousers are all now very loose. To get from that to a 12 in a year is an amazing achievement. Sod the shop assistants, you have every right to be there. Which shops are you thinking of going to?

I am feeling pretty good, just so so tired! I did a pre-natal pilates DVD on Thursday and it was a really good workout so I'm going to try and do some of that every day.
Yesterday was a disaster, we are buying a new car for DH and the one he wanted to look at was in Weston-super-Mare, we are in Hampshire. So we were in the car all day, I ate chips, brownie, sausage roll. Argh.
Just had fruit and water when we got home and am determined to have a good weekend ready to weigh in on Monday.

bebejones · 31/07/2010 12:00

Trimmer - on gain, it'll shift again though, don't worry! Enjoy wedding & London & think about it later!

Well done Blondes & Jodie!

Pretty - must be so hard for your dad with your mum being more lucid

Indian tonight! 2 years ago today I was trying to do everything possible to shift DD didn't work, she hung on for 9 more days! Have been planning all week what I'm going to have, makes me hungry just thinking about it!

Still not sure if I'll actually fit in size 12 jeans The 14s I'm wearing are really loose & I can get them up & down without undoing them. I walked upstairs the other day & they fell down! Think I might just buy one cheap dorothy perkins pair for now. Then when they are comfy I shall buy some nice Gap ones! (Although that may depress me as Gap ones are always small so will have to go up a size!)

Not sure I will have lost that much this week, have tried to be good but have been picking a bit! Indian won't help either!

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2010 12:30

BEBE go to charity shop and buy/try a size 12 there, will cost about £4 a pair

TRIMMER ((hugs)) about 2lb gain ,knwy about not always being motivated - i was the same before holiday, esp when was good and sts and then bad and sts,so thought what was the point in being good iyswim

ive got my friend coming down from london then we are going baby shopping

and chinkytonight

had pizza last night

and monday will be a TOTAL wash out as got teddy bears picnic at my work and got 20 adults and over 40 children so PRAYING for sun!!

and i will try to eat healthily but also want some of mb brownies and dips etc

MostlyLurking · 31/07/2010 13:17

I lurk on this thread but feel compelled to post to say a huge congrats to bebe, 20 to a 12 omg, you must feel amazing!

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2010 13:30

maybe you should join us lurker

but yes bebe has done soooooooooooo well 20 to 14/12 in 6mths

bebejones · 31/07/2010 16:37

Thanks guys! Mind you I had it to lose & I have the best incentive!

Lurker - come join us!

Blondes - stop bowing I'm all embarassed! Don't have any charity shops in our little town. Looked in the one next to DHs office last time I picked him up & they didn't really have anything

Still a 16 on top, coz of the norkage means everything is baggy round my middle!

Have been bad and made some shortbread (Blondes fault ) only had one piece though, and had only had chicken noodle soup for lunch which is 43cals! So figured I'd saved some cals so could allow myself a treat SO excited about our t/a...been far too long since we had one!

prettybird · 31/07/2010 18:10

Dh has aksed me to make some of my special spice biscuits (cinnamon, ginger and cloves - yummy ). Now that will require will power if they are sitting in the house (and unfortunately, the recipe makes loads)
