Morning all.
New thread for weigh in Friday.
Old one taking forever to load.

Was SO bad last night. Fancied a glass of Rose wine so bought a nice bottle thinking DH would have it with me. He didn't. I had it all. Whole bottle. Dinner was actually fine - steak, a sausage, salad and a piece of halloumi. But then I had a mini magnum. And then drunken hunger kicked in when DH and DS had gone to bed. Had a packet crisps. A cheese sandwich . And another sodding magnum .

However. The good news is that I weighed and still managed to lose. Only a pound but at least i lost.

excellent Undertone. Am on skinny latte and porridge with yoghurt so far - about to start off on my first litre of water of the day...

Undertone · 26/07/2010 13:25

Second mug of green tea. Someone brought in Diet Cokes for everyone so I slurped one of those down at a speed which surprised even myself .

Lunch was 170g pack of lean cooked chicken slices, 2 tomatoes and a generous dollop of cottage cheese - naughty bit was some chutney to go with it.

Apple for pud. Have another apple for snacky time later this afternoon.

2 glasses of water as well.

Did a lot of exercise at the weekend which makes me hungry the day after. Do people find that green tea makes you hungrier as well?

tibni · 26/07/2010 15:26

I'm still about. Managed a gym session this morning as ds carer took him to the ASD play session and am pleased that I am slightly lighter. Don't think I can manage Hard Core in the holidays - but I will do my best.

So far today - banana for breakfast and oatcakes with a little cheese and cucumber for lunch. I need to drink more water.

Tonight, while dd does 90 mins lifesaving, I will do the supermarket shop and stock up on cottage cheese and the like.

Quality · 26/07/2010 17:01

MTFU AND GET BACK IN TEH ZONE.
That works as a mantra.

Shoulders hurt so bad today, shred was appalling as couldn't even do 1 push up!
Alpen, 3 ryvita with cream cheese and mackerel, 1 kiwi, 1 small pack mini cheddars (126cal, fuck)
Tea is griddled chicken and stir fry veg.

I bought no added sugar jelly earlier for snacking, 6 cals a pot, lots of lovely sweetener though, ick.

dinkystinky · 26/07/2010 17:22

Liking the slogan Quality. Pain (if exercise induced in an achy way) is good... and well done for gyming it too Tibni.

So did body combat at lunch time, lunch was bean soup, chicken breast slices and green tea.

Supper tonight will be prawn stirfry concoction.

Undertone · 26/07/2010 20:19

Had me apple at 4.30 as was v hungry. I was reading an article on Runner's World website that regular snacking stops blood sugar levels crashing and feeling like you can't face a run/work-out when you get in from work. So I had a pack of snack-a-jacks on the train home and shredded as soon as I got in.

Day 2 of level 2 - still wussing out on a couple of the harder moves, but I felt good after it today rather than disconsolate.

Dinner was bag o' salad and two low-fat little burgers with tomatoes and a blob of cottage cheese. Then had 2 squares dark choc.

So - calories in today (200+100+220+50+130+40+40+90+50+120+250+100) = 1390. Round it up a bit to 1450 (for things like balsamic vinegar etc). Woop! Day 1 of super-hardcore-zoning complete!

dinkystinky · 26/07/2010 20:27

Well done Undertone.

Am waiting for DH to come home so have had my yoghurt (for dessert) pre-stirfry (which will be at around 9pm at this rate).

Quality · 26/07/2010 21:06

Nice under, v good.

Am finding this stuck in the hosue with no routine not helping as dd's are hungry/bored all the time. We need to start going out all day, luckily the tesco vouchers arrived so that's a couple of free outings a week

Themasterandmargaritas · 26/07/2010 23:17

OMG England is biffage central!

There is so much lovely stuff yer face and easy to make food, i just can't resist.

I'm returning to you all. I promise. Just after I have had my week of fun.

You are all doing BRILLIANTLY

Quality · 27/07/2010 08:59

I joined up to my fitness pal yesterday so I could see what I was eating. it's just a food diary thing but I find it much easier than the other one I used ot use. Done shred this morning. Need to walk to library later but I need to take dd's so might not be as energetic as I'd like!

Now what do you all have for breakfast? I have alpen with skim and a banana but that's a huge amount of calories, I have issues with porridge with no sugar as well. need ideas for low cal high energy breakfasts please?

Undertone · 27/07/2010 09:09

Hrm. Well as a great believer in Weetabix and skimmed milk (had to have semi-skimmed this morning though as the 2 skimmed pints I bought yesterday from the shop around the corner from the office have gone off ALREADY in this heat. ) that's an option - why is Alpen so calorific? I thought it was healthy? And bananas are good!

Would you have time to scramble yourself a couple of eggs (roughly 100 calories each) and eat with a slice of wholemeal toast (also roughly 100 calories without butter) in the morning? This won't feel as substantial as what you're eating now, though, but eggs are v good for energy and filling you up.

Quality · 27/07/2010 09:26

I like my alpen so can't have a piddly bowl, anyway, i need a big breakfast to stop me snakcing by 10. Big bowl alpen, over 350 calories. I know!

I could scramble eggs but that would mean havign to do them for dd's as well

TotalChaos · 27/07/2010 09:32

hello again ladies, haven't posted in a while, but have come back as I need my arse kicked back into the zone. 2 stone 9 down, 2 stone 3 to go, and officially now overweight not obese. But I can't sit back and relax, as I want to be not overweight, and don't just want the weight to creep back on.

Breakfast - serving of special K or dorset cereals fruit and fibre with a muller light instead of milk, and some fruit - handful of grapes or berries. Or 2 sachets of Oatso simple, made up with water and with raisins or pear on top. or two pieces of wholemeal toast with marmadale. If you are particularly atttached to your big breakast, you can keep it, but have a smaller lunch.

Undertone · 27/07/2010 09:40

As one of the blessed who can eat pretty much anything at any time (i.e. curry for brunch) - if you're like me then maybe steer away from traditional breakfast foods and instead have a low-fat yoghurt, a pack of lean pre-cooked cold meat and maybe a banana or two? Who says you have to have sweet cereal?

Undertone · 27/07/2010 09:42

Oh - and well done TotalChaos!! Stick with us and hang on in there.

dinkystinky · 27/07/2010 10:01

TotalChaos - join our biffer bootcamp (you've done really well - will help you keep up the good work). Drink 2 litres of water a day, exercise of some sort every day, fruit only for snacks between meals and mindful eating!

TMAM - you're forgiven for biffing for one week while you're over here but right back into biffer bootcamp with you from next week Missus.

Quality - I have porridge made with hot water and a low fat yoghurt mixed in most days and a skinny latte most mornings which fills me right up (all that protein). Though today, after killer circuits class, am having skinny latte and pineapple and grapes to mix it up abit.

Undertone · 27/07/2010 20:00

OK. Day two of super hardcore boot camp zoning.

Bix and semi-skimmed milk, 2 cups green tea.
Lunch was 2 tomatoes, blollop of cottage cheese and pack of lean sliced roast beef.
2 apples.
Packet of snack-a-jacks
Dinner will be stoo of diced lean turkey breast simmered in onions, garlic, dab of curry paste, cumin, handful of sultanas and half a tin of tomatoes with extra water for reducing. Will probably blollop some more cottage cheese on that as well. 2 squares dark choc will be pud.

Shredded when I got in from work. Had a 30-second break to psych myself up then went ahead and did the final plank twists - no wussing out today.

SO humid - finding it hard to cool down - especially when cooking a stoo.

How is everyone today?

Undertone · 27/07/2010 20:02

As an aside - I'm not sure our Natalie in the Shred is, you know... 'all there'.

Do you think she had her cognitive function removed to make room for more muscle?

TotalChaos · 27/07/2010 20:11

day one of getting back on track has gone well. assisted by several cups of coffee but hey.... now just need to do a bit of aerobic exercise before bed. have tried shred but it's a bit hardcore. put off exercising because stiff achey knee this morning due to humidity.

dinkystinky · 27/07/2010 21:01

Evening all. Doing well there Undertone and Totalchaos - keep up the good zoning. Know what you mean about Natalie in Shred Undertone - perhaps she's done too many jumping moves and dislodged one too many brain cells?

So, did circuits this morning - killer class - then had skinny latte, pineapple and grapes for breakfast, water, pilates at lunchtime, edamame prawns small fruit salad and shapers mint nougat bar for lunch (dealing with period craving for choc in low cal way), lots of water and green tea, chicken fajita for dinner. I feel bootcamp is going well for now.

tibni · 27/07/2010 22:18

Had a special day with dd today (ds, ASD, had a day at a SEN playscheme) so we did loads of girly things and then Mcdonalds . But I have had a megga gym workout tonight and decent breakfast and dinner so I refuse to feel too bad about lunch.

Well done all you zoning so brilliantly

Ilythia · 27/07/2010 23:27

Good job all!
Welcome home total, I find doing the shred first thing before breakfast helps a lot as I get it out of the way and then don't have to find the space int eh rest of the day. Shoulders are in agony still, level 2 is a bastard on the upper arms.
at natalie, she cheats on level 2 which amuses me. I reckon she secretly hates the other one who gets the easy ride...

Semi naughty today, alpen, banana for break, fresh cockles from the market for lunch, and not the fresh welshcakes DD's insisted on, then scarfed a pack of mini cheddars in soft play hell but then was good and had apple as well and that was all.
Tea was bolognese with small bit of spaghetti and stir fry, then no added sugar jelly and grapes for snacking, so overall not bad.

it's quality btw, have become addicted to trashy tv spartacus series, it's great.

dinkystinky · 28/07/2010 08:53

Liking the new name Ilythia! Your day yesterday doesnt sound too bad - mini cheddars are at least baked snacks so better than crisps, but am expecting better bootcamp behaviour today from you or will be requiring you to drop and give me twenty...

Glad you had a lovely day with DD Tibni - and well done on the megga gym session.

Shocking night last night (sleep wise, not biffing wise) - DS2 was sick between 8pm and 2am (lost track of the number of times) and then up crying for the next two hours so have had a grand total of around 2 hours sleep - but am determined to zone it and be strong today! Skinny latte, porridge and low fat yoghurt for breakfast, booked in for body pump at lunch time and have avoided the lovely pear and ginger muffins DH baked at the weekend all week. I am in the zone...

Undertone · 28/07/2010 09:30

Don't get me started on Anita and her weird abs.

Ilythia - do you have Sky? I'm DYING to see Spartacus the TV series because Charlie Brooker said it was good. I only have laptop - no TV. Can I steal it from somewhere?

Everyone's doing very well. I am ignoring the fact that scales said I had put on half a pound this morning. My scales are, frankly, a law unto themselves.

Poor you dinky - and your poor DS2!! Is your work less crazy now? I remember you had a horrible patch a while back. Lucky you having gym classes nearby. Our office doesn't have a shower, or else I'd really like to go for a jog at lunchtime.

dinkystinky · 28/07/2010 11:20

Yup, less crazy - one deal done, 2 crappy ones to go. But am off camping for long weekend (wont be good for zone but planning on lots of running around after kids and filling up on fruit inbetween) and then only back in for 4 days before buggering off on holiday again for a couple of weeks so imminently survivable.

Worth checking out if there are any gyms near your workplace Under - Fitness First seem to be all over the place (and you can use pretty much any of their gyms which is a bonus) - and are pretty good for lunch time/early morning/evening classes.
