i'm horrified to find I have put on 1 stone 7 lb in the last year.

horrified.

So, back to Weight Watchers I go.

I weigh in at 13 stone 8 (horror) and am taking it one day at a time with 21 pooints a day.

Mushrooms cooked in frylight are my life saver.

Hey guys. Hope you're well.

Weigh-in today, lost 1.5 lbs. Have absolutely no idea how.

The shred video looks good. At the moment my exercise is either walking or Wii Fit. I really need to get back to swimming salsa.

Diaduitpuisin · 21/07/2010 17:51

I am an idiot. In my defence I was at the hospital today for some tests and am both physically and emotionally drained.

What I meant to say was that I need to get back to swimming and salsa. Although swimming salsa does sound intriguing. Akin to synchronised swimming perhaps?

OOh just found this thread!

Joined WW 3 weeks ago and have lost 7lbs so got my first silver 7 this evening which makes me feel a bit silly but am going along with it!

Got back and had burger and chips and salad which is my treat for the week and now back on the WW wagon.

lavenderbongo · 22/07/2010 01:14

Hi - can I join this thread? I am in dire need of motivation and someone to keep me on track.
I am now 86kg (sorry in NZ so everything is in Kg) and have lost 3kg in the last 3 weeks. I really need to be around 65kg for my hieghts so have quite a lot to loose.
I think WW is great and have done it before but only lost about 2stone before moving down under and loosing the motivation. So now I have started again and I am determined that by our summer (dec/jan) I will be comfy wearing a swimming costume on the beach!
I am not finding it too hard so far but fitting in the time for excercise is a bit tricky. I am doing a Zumba class once a week which is great fun but I need to keep doing the jogging on the Wii.
My wiegh in day is sunday - so I thought I would pop in here now and then for a bit of a kick up the bum .

Hi there. I joined up almost two weeks ago at 12.1lb wanting to get to 10 stone again. I'm 5"8. Pre kids I was under 9 stone at one point in my life whewn I was dealing with lots of stress and not eating - but was much too skinny looking back at pics.

I am doing the 18 point a day fast start thingy and found that on the firt couple of days I was light headed and STARVING by 5pm even after having the 4 pt brekkie and 5 pt lunch. I don't normally have breakfast (Not by design, but by cos by the time I have got the kids out of bed and into their school uniforms made and pursuaded them to have breakfast and made packed lunches, it's time to go and I've missed the boat - yes I know I need to get organised and have breakfast with them - I know I know!.)

I started NOT having breakfast again and having my breakfast points at 5pm to get me through to 8pm when I eat with DH. I felt much betetr this way - but the leader says I ought to have breakfast.

What do you all think?

I have lost about 4 lbs so far.

Breakfast is supposed to kick start your metabolism which will help you to lose weight so it's a good idea to have some.

I've heard that some 0% fat yoghurt with cinnamon mixed in is supposed to be good for boosting your metabolism and should be reasonably low in points value. I bought some but have yet to try it as I keep forgetting it's in the fridge!

Even just an apple would be good as they are quite hard to digest so get your body working...

marge2 · 23/07/2010 15:53

Thanks ladies. I will try to find something for a couple of points to start the day.

It's the evening I find hardest - not actual hunger I suppose, but I get the 'habit munchies'. This is the first time in the day I usually get to relax and get time to sit and eat something rather than grabbing it in a huge hurry, prob not even tasting it as I am having to eat on the hoof while dealing with kids/boss.

I suppose it's the only time I actually get to enjoy my food..and a nice glass of white. Having to lay off the wine till the weekends though, and then only a couple of little glasses a day.

Still it does all seem to be working. I am definately feeling more room in my jeans!

HELP HAVE FALLEN OFF THE WAGON AND CAN'T GET BACK ON!!!! HELP!!

(Haven't put any weight back on yet, but I keep thinking "I'll start back tomorrow")

Has anyone got any useful advice can someone kick me up the arse ??!

AlCrowley · 26/07/2010 07:52

WI day today. Only lost 0.1kgs this week which is less than a lb, but I did get my 7+ star which makes me feel a bit better.

Holiday in 3 days now so it'll be 3 weeks till I'm next around for a weigh in day. Hoping to not put too much on while away.

animagic - I think waiting till "tomorrow" can be the problem sometimes. Just because you've had a bad breakfast or a midmoring snack, doesn't mean the rest of the day has to be a blowout. Maybe try finding a really nice recipe for dinner? Always makes me feel better. Like yesterday, I really fancied - and had - a bacon and brie roll for lunch but made a great WW chicken recipe for dinner. Made me feel a lot better.

Sometimes, just finding the recipes makes me feel more motivated. Especially when they look really yummy

This is what we had yesterday...
6 Points - serves 4
STICKY CHICKEN WITH JASMINE RICE
4x 150gm(5.5oz)skinless chicken breasts
200g(7oz) jasmine rice
fry light
300g(10.5oz)baby leaf spinach
1 garlic clove chopped
1 tbsp light soy sauce
FOR THE MARINADE
3 tbsp marmalade
3 garlic cloves chopped
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh ginger
4 roughly chopped fresh coriander
4 spring onions finely chopped
1 tsp Chinese five spice
2 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp tomato puree
----

  1. combine the marinade ingredients reserving half the spring onion. slash the chicken and place in a non-metallic bowl.Pour the marinade over and combine well. marinade for 10 Min's. 2)cook the rice according to pack instructions, drain and keep warm. Meanwhile heat griddle pan till hot.Reduce heat to medium add the chicken and cook for 15 mins turning and basting till cooked through and sticky 3)Heat a wok or large non-stick frying pan and spray with fry light. add the spinach. stir fry for 2 mins over a med heat.add garlic and soy sauce and stir fry for a further 2 mins till tender and wilted. serve the chicken with the rice and spinach and spring onion scattered over points per serving

Was delicious. DH loved it.

Al that recipe looks sooooooo yummy. Definitely will try it.

I lost 1.5lbs this week to take me down to 10st2.5lbs.

Good progress, particularly seeing as I completely blew it yesterday. Ate two packets of Walkers C&O (granted the little bags, not the big uns), and 2 cookies. Lunch had been sooo healthy too, I think I pulled it out of the bag through sheer activity over the weekend (loads of gardening).

I am starting this week as I mean to go on.

Porridge for brekkie, and salmon salad for lunch. I will be good, I will. I will.

encyclogirl · 27/07/2010 14:45

Huzzah! 24 stomach bug has taken me down to 10stone. Okay I realise it's just fluid, but hey, I'll take it! As of today (and maybe only for today), I'm down 4lbs!

Diaduitpuisin · 28/07/2010 17:48

Gained 2.5 lbs. Have cold and was using Hot Berry drink and Benylin. Going to see if I can switch to something that won't be as hazardous to my waistline. I'm thinking Uniflu Plus and homemade chicken soup - does anyone have anyother suggestions?

AlCrowley · 28/07/2010 21:57

Off on holiday in the morning so no WW for me for a fortnight

Hoping I've not got too much extra work to do when I get back!!

im 5ft1 and horrified to discover i am up to 11st5lb . im doing quite well at sticking to my points it's exercise that im rubbish at! i tried the 30day shred for 10 days and well and truely f**d my knees, i had to come down the stairs on my bottom and after a month my knees are only just starting to feel better! instead ive been walking the kiddies to and from nursery everyday which is about 45 min each way.

my first goal is to get to 10st any after that is a bonus!

Diaduitpuisin · 04/08/2010 17:48

Yay! I managed to lose 2 of the 2.5 lbs I gained last week.

Fizzywinelover · 05/08/2010 05:23

I've had some bad weeks. If you were to replace M&Ms with Reese's Pieces you'd have my last night. Thankfully I had some spare exercise points.

Hope you get back on the wagon.
