i'm horrified to find I have put on 1 stone 7 lb in the last year.

horrified.

So, back to Weight Watchers I go.

I weigh in at 13 stone 8 (horror) and am taking it one day at a time with 21 pooints a day.

Mushrooms cooked in frylight are my life saver.

Do you think we should do a list of everyone's weight loss and total aimed weight loss?

I have made a chart that I am going to colour in for every pound I lose and stick it up inside the cupboard with biscuits in - think I have too much time on my hands!

colditz · 16/07/2010 08:35

I am 5'2, 13 stone 3, and so have about 3 stone to lose before I can be considered a healthy weight.

I am 5'1" and 10 stone 2. Want to be under 9 stone - 8.5 ideally so got about another stone/stone and a half to lose on top of the stone I've already lost. Want to be there for DD's first birthday at Christmas ideally.

Will post that recipe later colditz. It is quite filling.

LittleMisscantbewrong · 16/07/2010 09:23

I'm 5'8'' and 14st 2lbs. If I lose 50 lbs I will be 10st 8lbs which will be in the middle of the healthy weight range for my height.

I'd like to lose most of it by Christmas but definitely by dd2's 1st birthday on 31/01.

I love getting new recipes that fill you up. I have loads of stir fries as I get really hungry so need a huge plateful of food.

Diaduitpuisin · 16/07/2010 13:33

Hey guys. Sorry I didn't get back to ye. Busy few days, family friend passed away. Removal tonight and funeral tomorrow.

Wow - can't believe I'm the first Silver Seven. That means that I'm rooting for ye. Best of luck.

colditz - I'm 1 inch taller than you and started off 1 lb heavier. My goal weight is 9 stone 9.5 lbs if that's any help. I got down to 10 stone 2 lbs for my wedding from 14 stone so it is possible.

Diaduitpuisin · 16/07/2010 15:21

That should be 1 lb heavier than your last post.

rosieposey · 16/07/2010 17:41

I had a slip up on my second day, so far today is going ok but i was so bloody hungry yesterday and had a bit of a binge so i suppose that will reflect on my weight loss next week but never mind, back on it today. I wanted to get around 4lb off this week but im not holding out much hope.

Hope everyone elses day is going ok, might get an early one tonight as DS is getting into the habit of waking up for a bottle in the middle of the night and i have no idea why, its times like these that i wish he had a dummy as it feels like those early days when he was a newborn, knackering!

Ceolas · 17/07/2010 19:30

Nearly finished day two and so far so good. Our anniversary tonight and I'm making Thai green curry

SGM. I think being off WW at the moment is perfectly understandable.

encyclogirl · 19/07/2010 11:36

Hi Girls, can I join you? I am 5'2lb, 10stone 4. Ugh. I've been struggling all year, and I just cannot find my Mojo. I'm 44 years old and I keep blaming my age for my in ablility to stick to the plan.

HELP!

Today I had porridge for brekkie, have packed my lunch of homemade frittata and a green bean salad. I've also got an apple a pear and a banana in case I get desperate.

Dinner tonight will likely be a salad.

I think my prob is portion sizes. I need to get back weighing and measuring, and exercise, oh God I need to exercise.

Anyway, that's my tale of woe. I would just love to get down to 9 stone 4. 14lbs. How hard can that be?

Extremely hard apparently...

AlCrowley · 19/07/2010 17:07

Hi encyclogirl. Glad to have you with us

Squidmission · 19/07/2010 19:53

Hi.
I think I may have joined earlier on in the thread but didn't really post. Can I join again please?

I joined ww 3 weeks ago and have lost 4lbs but I'm so rubbish at sticking to it so could really use the support.

I sort of went a bit mad after last Wed weigh in and just ate loads til yesterday. I'm fully expecting a gain at my next weigh in and don't really know what possessed me. sigh.

I'm 5'2" and weigh 10 and half stone. I would be really happy to get to 9st (I have gone down from 12 and half over the past 2 yrs since ds2. Its very slow!)

I exercise quite a bit and try to Shred 3-4 times a week. I also play tennis on Wed, go to a spin class on Sat and go for a run on Sun so it really is the diet thats an issue. I love food too much!

encyclogirl · 19/07/2010 21:14

Wow Squidmission we are almost in the same zone weight wise.

You have exercise nailed for sure!

I managed a 40min bicycle ride with the dh and dc this evening, not very much of a burn.

I have the shred dvd, still wrapped in plastic. sigh

Dinner wasn't a salad, it was a lean beef stir fry (got the beef in Tescos for .29c on the way home from work, so had to have that!) Dh and ds loved it, dd notsomuch. Loaded it up with veggies, and a very small portion of noodles. Still feel full now.

Didn't eat the pear, ate the banana and apple tho.

All in all a good day.

Squidmission · 19/07/2010 21:55

Ah, so we are Encyclogirl
You're very specific about your goal weight - why the .14lbs? Just intrigued.

I really recommend the Shred dvd. It'll give you amazing toning results and its just a 20min workout. Open it!
I've just done it and feel brilliant.

encyclogirl · 20/07/2010 09:40

I would love to get a stone off and I know how much better I would feel in my clothes etc if I did.

Oooh you are tempting me into the Shred!

Do you always workout late at night? I'm such a slug once I have the kids bathed etc...

encyclogirl · 20/07/2010 13:37

Apologies for using this thread as a blog these past two days, but I'm finding it so helpful to track my eating in public!

I ate porridge for brekkie again (breakfast of champions doncta know ;)), just had a ham salad for lunch, with no dressing, but a small portion of feta crumbled over the top of it, and 4 ryvitas. Have banana and apple for afternoon.

Going good on day two. Already feeling the benefit of all this 'clean eating'

Miss my snack-a-jacks tho

AlCrowley · 20/07/2010 15:54

Keep forgetting to post that pasta recipe!

Here goes: (feeds me, DH and DS)

1 chicken breast
2 teaspoons chopped, fresh rosemary
1 tablespoon olive oil
30g sliced salami
3 portions pasta
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tin cherry tomatoes
1 onion, finely chopped

Heat the oil in a large saucepan and fry the onion and salami over a medium heat for about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta
Turn up the heat and add the chicken to the onions and salami. Cook until chicken is white on all sides.
Sprinkle the vinegar over the chicken and then add the cherry tomatoes and the rosemary (and some dried chillies if you fancy a kick), stir and simmer for a few more minutes
Mix with the pasta and serve.

It's not a WW recipe but I worked it out to be about 5 points.

Squidmission · 20/07/2010 21:08

That sounds delicious Alcrowley. Thanks.

Encyclogirl have you started Shredding yet? Go and read the shredding thread somewhere in this section. It's brilliant.
I prefer to exercise in the morning and don't often shred in the evenings. On Mondays, however, I work all day and dh has tennis at 8 so I often find I can do it then.

I have been extra good today and yesterday to try to limit the damage for my weigh in tomorrow!

encyclogirl · 20/07/2010 21:26

Hi Squid, I didn't Shred yet, I'm gonna do it for the first time tomorrow, but I did go out (minus kids) for a serious Tour de France style cycle for about an hour. I live in rural west of Ireland and our area is seriously hilly. My muscles are killing me!

Shred is on my agenda for 7.00am tomorrow morning

Squidmission · 20/07/2010 21:27

I'll be with you as I'm planning to do it then too

AlCrowley · 20/07/2010 22:33

I might have to dig my copy out too. Thought I was doing well, then my sister posted a photo of me taken last week on Facebook!

I am NOT doing well after all

Squidmission · 21/07/2010 09:50

Alcrowley sometimes we all have bad photos! Don't be too upset.

I would definitely recommend Shred to lose inches.

Well, I did it at 7am! Now I feel set up for the day.

Weight stayed the same this week. Phew I really thought I'd have a gain.

AlCrowley · 21/07/2010 09:59

I know - I just looked so wide!!!

Ran 5k and then came home to do a toning DVD last night. Its hard finding time to fit in the shred in a morning with a 3 year old and a 7 month old to dress and feed. Will try harder though.

encyclogirl · 21/07/2010 11:29

OK I did it! Ow!!!!

But, I is nice to have excercise out of the way for the day

Al, I know the feeling. Someone took a snap of me from the back at a bbq last week.

Man, I have a fat ass!
