Thanks fidget and sue.

I had at bit of a blow out. Ended up eating mini brownies from m&s (the whole box)

I have been doing so well but feel AF coming so blaming that for my down fall plus I have put my back out and been in pain all weekend.

Must give the bread a go and I am back on track again now.

Welldone on the losses snowie and fidget

Sue 2 st in 3mths is amazing don't feel disheartened as it will be on the move again soon

Katisha · 26/07/2010 21:06

16 lbs down. 12 to go.

I think I have largely been doing this diet on cups of tea, cups of coffee, water and yoghurt.

Hi SugarMousePink

Try adding some herbs to the pancake - some oregano or herbes de provence or make sweet ones and add some sweetner and top with yogurt!!

shortandsweet2 · 27/07/2010 07:25

Well done Katisha thats fantastic!

I have cheated a little on the cheese. I have been buying low fat chedder and having a very small amount the odd time.

SnowieBear · 27/07/2010 13:02

Hi SugarMousePink! I much prefer this to Atkins, having tried both. But yes, I could murder some cheese too . Not giving in though!

I'm feeling a bit about weighting myself every day... I seem to lose one day, put back the next and get right back down the one after. Today I'm 2lbs heavier than yesterday and I was truly monastic in my approach, so I cannot pin it down to anything in particular. If it carries on like in previous occasions, I'll be two pounds down tomorrow, then a shade under a pound the following day, then back up... I guess if I did it once a week it would even out, but can't help myself at the moment.

OK - lunch has been had and this little bear is off on a 30min walk.

Miggsie · 27/07/2010 13:12

Hello, everyone, well, I'm down to my target weight so onto the next phase.............!

After nearly 3 months I shall look forward to my 2 slices of bread, apple and a bit of cheese for supper!

I'll let you know if the weight stays off, Dr Dukan says it will if I follow the next stage.

Oh, and I've GOT A FLAT STOMACH. Yes, all that dieting plus those bastard stomach exercises and I have a flat tummy. I stood in front of the mirror admiring it this morning! Will have to keep up the good work and not fall down to chocloate and sloth. The oatbran and lots of water are crucial for this effect, the combination really works.

Bye bye, you hateful 12kg of blubbery wobblyness, I never want to see you back, you are HISTORY!

Katisha · 27/07/2010 13:18

Excellent work Miggsie!
Do keep posting - we need someone to boldly go where the rest of us haven't got to yet!
Wish you hadn't mentioned the bread. I still have a bit of a way to go before that happens!

Miggsie · 27/07/2010 13:21

The bread thing has been hell...making DD packed lunches of ham sandwiches...!

I make my own bread so I open the breadmaker and SNIFF it.
DD also eats chocolate out of my sight so I'm not tempted. I thought that very considerate for a 6 yo.

I do wish Dr Dukan in his book would acknowledge how difficult it is for a mum to prepare "normal" food for offspring while sticking to the diet. It's daily temptation!

Katisha · 27/07/2010 13:32

Ah well all French children have their marvellous 4-course school dinners, don't they, so I suppose sandwich-making doesn't come into the equation...

SnowieBear · 27/07/2010 13:38

Wow, Miggsie, I'm so impressed and pleased for you! Well done! Please keep posting on how you get on with the next phase - I think we all need reassurance for the future!

Katisha · 27/07/2010 19:05

Anyone else have phases of feeling absolutely knackered? Don't know whether to blame the humid weather or the diet. Maybe it's a combination but after doing my mile walk to the station this evening I felt utterly exhausted.

SpanishHarlot · 27/07/2010 20:27

Hi everyone...had a bad week because my nephew was over on holiday. started well but for the last couple of days I have fallen off the wagon completely...been to the fair and seaside with him and his girlfriend and they had churros with chocolate which was just fatal for me.

Have decided to sign up with the website to give me a bit of a spur on..the discount word is HODDER by the way if anyone wants to get 30% off instead of the 20% offered (it says it in the book)

Am hoping to get back into it by going back to Attack phase...only problem is that the sister-in-law is out on Sunday for 3 weeks and the BBQ will be blazing...I must stay away from the chips and ice creams though.

Have tried a new thing out..very funny called Beer Butt Chicken (it is what it says) you put a half can of beer inside the chicken so it is standing up (sort of) then cook it for 1 hour 15 mins on 180 it is very moist because of the beer steaming it from the inside ...very funny...look it up on Google to see it..

keep going girls

If you are really missing a subway, try a portion of meatballs with no cheese. You get four in a tub. I have also had them made into a salad.

Also, I mix the oatbran into a yogurt. I then have a glass of water which helps the oatbran expand and fills you up for longer.

Katisha · 27/07/2010 22:04

How are you getting on with it all Uggsmum?

uggmum · 27/07/2010 22:07

Really well. I have lost 36 pounds so far. I would like to lose a further 18 pounds.

I have checked my bmi, I am no longer obese, I am overweight. Yippee!

I have a big party at the weekend and then a 3 week holiday. I am going onto the 3rd stage for 1 month to maintain my current weight. It means I can have 2 celebration meals a week which will enable me to enjoy my holiday. I aim to go back to attack after this and lose the remaining weight.

SpanishHarlot · 27/07/2010 22:49

I have finally realised why my pancakes are turning out so bad...i am using wheat bran instead of oat bran ...it doesn't swell up like oat bran does...sister in law bringing some out to me on Sunday so hopefully will be a better response next week.

Katisha · 27/07/2010 23:05

Good plan Uggsmum - I have a holiday coming up soon as well - maybe doing the consolidation thing will be the way forward. THen back on attack.

shortandsweet2 · 28/07/2010 06:58

Morning everyone

1st week over and ended with 3.5lb loss which I am both happy and annoyed with as I was 5lb until Monday.

Katisha · 28/07/2010 08:45

Well at least you know it's water, as you can't have put on a pound and half of fat since then!

MissWooWoo · 28/07/2010 09:27

Hi all

after completing 6 days on the attack phase and losing a fabulous 8lbs, I have had a disastrous long (family things) weekend involving booze and all sorts of carbs and am horrified to find that I have put 4lbs back on ... noooooooooooooooo . Not sure what I expected! So, should I get back on the attack phase for a few days or have I totally blown it?

Katisha · 28/07/2010 09:31

Most of the initial loss in Attack will be water, and so much of what you put back on will just be water retention as well.
Just start again!

MissWooWoo · 28/07/2010 09:40

you're right, start again! maybe a shorter attack phase though

MissWooWoo · 28/07/2010 09:41

shit, just realised had toast earlier this morning, gah! does that wipe out today?
