No more bloody yo-yoing!!

redshoesnoknickers · 19/04/2010 10:22

Aaaaaargh! If I lose then gain this same bloody, fucking half a stone once more I will bloody scream!! Lost half a stone before Easter. Two weeks of kids on hol from school, no exercise and eating like a piggy and it's back on!

NO MORE!

Went for a 30min run today and am going to do a food/exercise diary on this thread to keep me focussed until I learn some new habits that stick!

I am 10st 12 and want to hover between 9st7 and 9st10 so a bit to lose, but mainly some kind of stability instead of yo-yo diet/binge hell!

Feel free to join if you are in the same boat!

Hi ya ladies, sorry haven't been on lately but been busy shredding and power walking, while trying to get assignments in at college!!!

Am doing really well with food and am feeling really positive about the future!!!

Hope everyone else is doing okay!!!

simmo39 · 28/04/2010 21:21

Well done twinkle183 you sound very positive. I don't know how you manage on your own with 3 DC's and college. Pat on the back to you..

Squidmission - hope you get your car sorted, your food sounds quite yummy today, I love chicken and salad, but battle with keeping it healthy like no mayo and coleslaw!

Redshoes - regular meals helps doesn't it, I find if I am prepared I can cope better with cravings. Its when there is nothing in I find it too easy to grab the naughty stuff first as just can't wait to cook anything.

Must start doing my sit ups again tonight, my belly has gone all saggy again

justaminute · 29/04/2010 09:30

I've been a naughty girl
I thought I could be strong so I filled the biscuit tin with Bourbon biscuits for the dcs and dh. four biscuits later I realised I'm not strong - woops!

Plan for today
Brankflakes & juice
Soup & roll
Salad & pizza (dh will eat most)

Squidmission · 29/04/2010 12:45

I met someone who lost all her 3 stone baby weight in 9 months and she told me that there's no secret, just self control. She also told me the reason for yo-yoing is that when the body gets used to a certain weight, it wants to go back to that weight if you lose some.
That does seem to explain why I, like the OP, keep losing and gaining the same 1/2 stone. I'm now trying to mentally prepare myself to fight those urges that want to make gain back the weight. Its Fight time!

plan for today
beans, sausage
cod in breadcrumbs, salad
chicken and veg
snacks strawberries and yogurt

justaminute · 29/04/2010 14:48

Hi Squid. I'm with you on the fight. Although I ate 4 bourbon biscuits in a row yesterday I did win a minor fight as I could easily have polished off the whole packet!

Dare I say it but... I think my trousers are feeling a bit looser today My motivation has returned.

keep up the fight!

twinkle183 · 29/04/2010 15:38

Afternoon ladies, am having a day off exercise today.. As I am exhausted from all the work I have been doing and am at college tonite and don't finish until nine!!!

So will do L2 shred tomorrow and 50 min power walk!! Am feeling really motivated at the moment, doing really well with food aswell, am really enjoying my salads at the moment!!!

Keep it up ladies will weigh soon! Xxx

Squidmission · 29/04/2010 21:02

Waah! I have no fight in me at the moment. I have a sore throat and am headachey etc.
I had to eat a big slice of warm banana cake as it smelled sooooo comforting and I felt so rough, and I had 1 piece of dairy milk.

I'm going to have a herbal tea and ignore my cravings for more banana cake. [mantra to self - fight it fight it fight it]

simmo39 · 29/04/2010 22:12

Squidmission - banana cake sounds almost healthy! But I am quite sure it is not. Try your hardest not to eat anymore Hope you feel better soon.

Twinkle - yes you deserve a day off, I feel like such a couch potatoe at the moment, really struggling with motivation. Food is ok, just can't be bothered to exercise. Think I am just tired and a bit run down

Justaminute - well done, it is so nice when you can feel a difference in clothes, keep going!

Squidmission · 30/04/2010 09:46

Yesterday was definitely a blip. I was feeling a bit run down but I'm better today.

I've done my shred today so I'm feeling v. positive.

plan for today

sausage, beans
soup, ryvita
meal out tonight.
We've not decide where to go but hopefully it will be Thai where I can have chicken satay and a beef salad.

I am the lightest I've been in ages
I'm 148.6lbs which I think is 10st and 8.6lbs. I started weighing myself in lbs because I was tracking on a US weightloss site.

twinkle183 · 30/04/2010 09:54

Morning girlies... weighed myself today and that 4lbs that I put on and vanished in to thin air today in four days... I am on fire and am loving it!!! So I am now back to 11st, I am well on my way to getting the body that I had prepregnancy!!!

I was glad that I had the day although I was up with ds2 all night and then to top it off he decided to get up at 4am...

simmo I know how you feel about feeling like that I went through a stage of that however you find that if you just get enough motivation to do the exercise your have more energy for the rest of the day... I promise!!! Exercise makes you have the good hormones secrete from you brain.. it gives you a high making you feel better.. Go on simmo (put hand out to help you off sofa)

Well done squidmission on the weight loss... I am paying catch up but I'll get ya... lol

Right am off to do L2 shred and then my 50 minute powerwalk! Also zumba after college tonight... woohoo.. am loving it!

simmo39 · 30/04/2010 21:50

thanks for the support twinkle, I was doing really well and felt motivated just a few weeks ago, I just don't know where it has gone.
Food is going ok and I am still finding it fine on my Golower meals, its just the exercise. I so want to tone up, I hate my tummy. I think that one day I have just got to accept that is me. My mum said it is hereditary and nothing I can do about it!!!
Congratulations on getting back to 11stone, that is great. I am 4 1/2 lb behind you

Squidmission - glad you're feeling better, enjoy your yummy Thai, Thai is my favourite...

twinkle183 · 01/05/2010 08:46

simmo39 am sorry to say that I don't believe your mum anybody can change there shape with the right exercise and diet!!! As long as you do cardio it will burn the fat, toner helps tone the muscle which become lean and also burn the fat, if you don't like your tummy you can do something about it.. I promise!!! Bingo wings are hereditary in my family but I have shreddded mine off

So keep going simmo39 i'll be here for you (holding your hand) well done on only been 4 1/2 lbs behind... Come catch me..

Squidmission · 01/05/2010 09:42

Simmo what exercise were you doing?
Sometimes you just need a change. I'm glad you're going to Shred. You will see a difference in no time

I was exceptionally good yesterday and only had a chicken soup for a starter and a beef salad for main. I drank water only and had mint tea for dessert!

plan for today
toast, omelette
couscous salad
lamb, veg

twinkle183 · 01/05/2010 09:46

oooooo that sounds good an omlette.. may have that for a change...

Well done on being good squidmission!! Keep it up...

twinkle183 · 02/05/2010 15:56

Have fallen from grace today....

Am still keeping up with the exercise... L3 shredding tonight...

Been told by a friend that she is getting married in September so am needing to look good for that wedding... Am not going to be the same size want to be happy with what I see in the mirror...

(Brushing myself off) Back on the wagon tomorrow....

Squidmission · 03/05/2010 11:05

Good incentive Twinkle!

I was really bad yesterday and ate tonnes as I went to see family.
Anyway, back to it today!

Plan
muesli
sausage sandwich
bbq chicken, salad
snacks fruit, yogurt

justaminute · 04/05/2010 07:42

I'm sulking. Weekend wasn't great food (and drink) wise. Although it wasn't that bad - there's been worse so it shouldn't come as a surprise that the scales still haven't moved but it's been 3 weeks of eating more sensibly. Grrr.

Hope you are all doing better than me.

simmo39 · 04/05/2010 21:39

lost 1.5 lb last week, a little disappointed. However having kept track of my weight, if I even slightly deviate from my GoLower meals I do not lose as much. I must slip out of ketosis very quickly. So this week I am going to be following it 100%. I need to catch up with you twinkle!
Am waititng for my 30 day shred DVD to arrive. Have a question you will be able to answer. Ater completing 30 days do you go back to the start at L1 or carry on at L3? Sorry it that seems a stupid question....

Squidmission - you were very good at the Thai restaurant well done!

Justamintue - on the positive side you haven't put on, keep going....

Squidmission · 05/05/2010 10:20

Keep going Justaminute!

Simmo I haven't really thought about what happens after 30 days. I'm just picturing a slender and more toned me!
I think I'll probably just choose a workout and carry on a few times a week.

muesli
chicken salad
salmon, veg

simmo39 · 05/05/2010 20:54

DVD arrived today!!!! Gonna try and squeeze my first go in tonight and then collapse in bed. Bit nervous about doing it, aren't I silly .

Granola, strawberries and spoonful of greek yogurt
Tex Mex soup with grated cheese on top and a green salad
Chicken and leeks in a cream sauce with cauliflower cheese
smokey bacon crunch for a snack

ebayaddict · 07/05/2010 18:01

Hi - can I join in please? I really need the motivation.

I lost 2 1/2 stone on slimming world a couple of years ago but have a stone that reguarly creeps on and off. I'm currently 12st 13 and want to get down to 12st as that puts me in size 12 clothes. I'll be weighing in on a Wednesday.

I've been logging my food and exercise calories(I wear a heart monitor for a more accurate read) at the food focus website.

Food
2 weetabix w skim milk
chicken ceasar salad (homemade), banana & plum
mini packet cookies
Dinner (will be) salmon with new potatoes, runner beans and carrots.

Exercise
15 min interval training on treadmill
45 min spin class
648 cal total

friendly7 · 07/05/2010 21:55

Hi girls. Well, I know now that I can't always eat sensibly so I'm going to try Monday to Frida and have more relaxed time on Saturday - Sunday, starting this Monday (she hopes).

twinkle183 · 08/05/2010 09:22

OMG omg... I decided to weigh myself today as I went and had a full body massage yesterday which tackles the fat encouraging your body to burn it rather than store it...

To my amazement I am not 10st 10lbs... woop woop. I said I wouldn't weight myself but I had to... am elated with the results and am well on my way to my target!!! I recommend this massage to anyone.....

simmo39 you managed that dvd yet???? It won't bite we can do it together!!!!

Well done girlies keep going!!!

redshoesnoknickers · 08/05/2010 11:15

Well done Twinkle! That's great!

Sorry I haven't been on for ages...not been feeling very motivated but I feel some renewed effort coming on!
