Aaaaaargh! If I lose then gain this same bloody, fucking half a stone once more I will bloody scream!! Lost half a stone before Easter. Two weeks of kids on hol from school, no exercise and eating like a piggy and it's back on!

NO MORE!

Went for a 30min run today and am going to do a food/exercise diary on this thread to keep me focussed until I learn some new habits that stick!

I am 10st 12 and want to hover between 9st7 and 9st10 so a bit to lose, but mainly some kind of stability instead of yo-yo diet/binge hell!

Feel free to join if you are in the same boat!

Well done Redshoes! Thats brilliant.

Well I managed to stay strong yesterday and so glad I did. I would be so miserable today if I hadn't. It really, really is not worth it.

Plan for today
banana, yogurt, 1/2 slice of toast
soup, ryvita, salad, satsuma
lamb, raita, salad
snacks - apple, 1/2 glass smoothie

I did my shred dvd this morning so I am quite pleased to have got it out of the way!

livvylouis · 23/04/2010 12:28

Hi Ladies! Well seems we all had a little treat yesterday, I was good all day stook to my plan but then couldn't resist melting the last of the easter eggs to dip my strawberries in .

Oh well back on track today,

Today's plan:
Breakfast cornflakes & s/milk
Lunch Cheese(only a bit) & beetroot salad
Dinner morrocan lamb & couscous
Snacks fruit & rice cakes

I dont know if i'm losing weight but I do feel so much more energized eating healthily

redshoesnoknickers · 23/04/2010 12:39

Good grief I nearly killed myself running this morning - had to walk up a bit of the hill was also forced to wear highly unflattering running trousers with pink flashes on and a fluro pink top as my black stuff is in the wash - my face matched my top by the end!! Did 80 sit ups too.

DH has decided we are going chinese or thai not indian tonight - any ideas what the healthiest options are??

Right well i fell of the wagon again thanks to my late two nights in a row but nevermind have been really good day and am off to zumba and will be shredding later!!! Am more determined than ever especially as I may have wedding to go an am not going to be the only heffa there... Haven't weighted myself so don't know what damage I have done!!!

Am only weighing myself once a month cos was getting mental about it

Keep going girlies!! P.s thanks for the support!!

justaminute · 23/04/2010 20:52

Evening ladies.
Hope you are enjoying your Thai/Chinese Redshoes - after your fantastic weight loss this week you can easily justify a nice meal out.
I've been reasonably good today, the biscuit tin only opened once . I've just made myself some pesto - I normally use the jar stuff but I had a load of basil so I thought I'd have a go at making it. What a revelation....it was GORGEOUS! Probably not the most healthiest of things (I did go easy on the oil and cheese) but it was yum. So yum it warranted a glass of red too!
Off out with the girls tomorrow night - I volunteered to drive - that way I won't indulge in the alchohol but should sill have a good time.
Enjoy your weekends. Stay strong

twinkle183 · 23/04/2010 21:13

Have had a good day today! I managed to do shred and then a 2 mile power walk, which was great!!! Hopefully I'll have a good weekend too..

redshoesnoknickers · 24/04/2010 07:04

Thanks justa I did try not to eat tooooo much but I find it quite hard to tell as it's not one plate of food at a chinese is it - you keep dipping in still I def ate less than if I would have if i wasn't "noticing" and it was yummy!

Well done on the exercise twinkleand squid. Glad you are feeling good livvy

Today:
Breakfast - yogurt
Lunch - prawn salad (but might be going out so we'll see)
Dinner - tacos (will have 2 shells and lots of salad)

Not planning any exercise today - will run tomorrow

Hope you all have a lovely saturday!

Good to hear everyone is doing well and sticking to diet/exercise (mostly!)

I've done my shred dvd today and feel really postive today.

plan for today
beans, mushrooms and sausage
soup, ryvita, salad
tandoori chicken, raita, salad

redshoesnoknickers · 24/04/2010 14:43

Bit of a change of plans but still doing well - I had melon strawbs and a yog for brekkie and then we went for a picnic and I had half a prawn mayo sandwich (150ish cals) and a jam tart (130 cals) plus carrot sticks and tomato so all fine. Am v. proud of not eating up all the leftover bits and not eating any kettle crisps

redshoesnoknickers · 25/04/2010 08:13

Well yesterday degenerated a lot a bit healthyness wise. I think i am going to have to accept that weekends will be more "relaxed" eating wise as i am not in charge of everything like i am in the week. I am going to be mindful of what i eat today but not do a meal plan because if it changes i will just get annoyed with myself! Planning a nice run today too

Hope you are all having a nice weekend

OP posts:
Squidmission · 25/04/2010 17:24

yesterday didn't go to plan for me either. It was a mixture of being quite rushed and just wanting to relax a bit because of the weekend.

Today has been ok-ish. Will be back to it tomorrow.

I think its good to relax a bit on the weekends as it keeps your metabolism up and, from another thread, apparently having a 'top up' day or too stops you from bingeing.

redshoesnoknickers · 26/04/2010 07:57

Just a quickie:

Breakfast: Yogurt
Lunch: Salad with beetroot and cottage cheese
Dinner: Fritatta and salad

Going for a run after school drop off

livvylouis · 26/04/2010 10:01

Morning ladies, well I fell right off the wagon the weekend, we were invited to a bbq, can't resist a sausage! Plus had too much wine . Oh well suppose that's what weekends are for! I did walk about 6 miles over the weekend so at least I burnt a few of those calories off!

Not sure what todays plan is as i'm not feeling too good, so dont wanna think about food!

justaminute · 26/04/2010 11:00

Oh dear, we are all sounding a bit down. my weekend wasn't too bad food or exercise wise but sadly the scales refused to budge this morning.
Let's hope this week is a good one. today's plan:
Branflakes + juice
Beans on toast
Pasta with tomato & pepper sauce - i'm going to chop up some leftover sausages and chuck them in too - I can't resist a sausage either

twinkle183 · 26/04/2010 20:02

Right... am having real issues with food...!! The exercise is under control am now managing to shred as well as do a 45 min power walk/run in my fat burn zone...

Someone pls HELP with my food... not sure whether I am coming or going???

Squidmission · 26/04/2010 21:16

Good day today

smoothie, banana
tomato soup, salad
homemade burger, veg
snacks - yogurt, fruit

Twinkle I replied on the shred thread but also check out the thread below about days of uncontrollable desire to eat. There is some good advice on there.

friendly7 · 27/04/2010 08:23

Hi everyone. I'm trying to follow simple rules I thought might help me: hot water with lemon in the morning, fruit and veg snacks, vegie soup, nuts and seeds, normal dinner, veg snack. What do you think?

redshoesnoknickers · 27/04/2010 09:05

twinkle it's great you are exercising so much - well done! What's the food problem? Try and make sure you have 3 meals and keep the snacks to fruit and veg maybe?

squid yes - relaxing on the what I eat at weekends is what I plan to do too...after all I don't want to lose loads - it's more important to me that I stay a stable weight!

friendly it depends what your existing diet was like really...i think you will need will power of iron to stick to that long term. sorry.

Today:
Breakfast: muller breakfast corner
Lunch: beetroot and tofu salad
Dinner: teriyaki salmon with stirfry veg and rice

Went shopping last night and got some mini muller rice pots and 2 finger kitkats for when I need a sweet something without going overboard

Am happy with the way my body is changing already.. yesterday I did the shred l2 and power walk/run... but am thinking my shins could do with a rest but will see how I feel later... trying to allow my body to heal and have two days off a week!

Have noticed a big change in my fitness which is great... so I will keep going!

Thanks for all my tips on food by the way.. went shopping today and managed to get lots of fruit and veg to eat!So hopefully thanks to you guys I'll be on the way to getting to the weight that I want!

Squidmission · 27/04/2010 21:11

good luck twinkle. I'm sure you'll be slender in no time

Friendly that sounds ok except you don't seem to be having anything except hot water and lemon for breakfast. Eat a good healthy breakfast then soup for lunch and normal dinner sound fine.

today was good

Pret granola
soup, salad
yogurt
lamb, veg

Hi All, Been away for a few days for a well earned break at my best mates! It was her 40th birthday party on Saturday and I went to her from friday to yesterday. No kids and no husband!!!! They stayed at home! I did miss my little ones but the break was heaven. I had lovely lays ins till 11 am

I was pretty good on the food front. Weighed myself on Friday morning before I left and had lost 3 lbs I packed all my Golower food and managed to stick to most of it, except for a chinese on Sunday night. Tried to eat all carbs but you never know what else is in them, and it was salty. Oh and I did have a few too many glasses of wine at the party......!

Pleased to hear how hard you are all trying, well done everyone.

redshoesnoknickers · 28/04/2010 09:11

Corn flakes
Tofu salad
Pasta with bacon/broccoli/pesto

Hopefully go for a run tonight.

Feel much more relaxed about everything now i'm eating 3 meals a day. Def makes me eat far less crap
