haha @ cheese. dittany was going mental about that add the other day.

CheeeseOnToast · 26/04/2010 18:33

I felt all cheated when I saw what it was advertising. I thought at first it might have been a bread advert.

CheeeseOnToast · 26/04/2010 18:33

What was dittany saying about it? Actually I think I saw a thread but I didn't look.

EricPicklesFatNeck · 26/04/2010 18:35

the song is anti women

crying @ a bread add is understandable on this thread

EricPicklesFatNeck · 26/04/2010 18:35

sorry the song is anti women according to some interpretations

MamaG · 26/04/2010 18:43

Been busy today fitting a blind and hanging new curtains in DD's bedroom

went to Harrogate for a mooch ar ound shops adn tried (and failed) to spend my £25 next voucher. I like NOTHING int hat shop at the mo, at this rate I'll be spending it on DD fgs

home made tortilla thing and half a leftover baked pot for lunch
TOST mfor breakfast (quick, see)
dinner -ummm dunno yet. Possibly salad. Probably pizza

CheeeseOnToast · 26/04/2010 18:43

Ahah, yep I went and read a bit of that thread. I didn't read much into the lyrics TBH, it was just the way it wasn't all perfect (when the family are arguing), just about having a family and everything that goes with that. (IMO)

JackBauer · 26/04/2010 19:40

Is there anyone not PMTing on the thread?

I am having dilemma, someone I know is in need of nice things to be posted to them, normally I'd make bics or sweets or soemthing [domestic goddess] but I daren't do it!
Pathetic.

Am hungry, DD's are creating upstairs and DH has gone out. And there is half a fresh baguette in the bread bin (DH had other half).

I do have corn on the cob though, that's healthy, right?

duckyfuzz · 26/04/2010 19:42

Jack I'm in my fortnight of no PMT at the moment so am trying to be good, although wasn't at all over the weekend

nice feet though

YoginiBikini · 26/04/2010 19:54

Flying visit again - it's all I ever seem to do lately. Hope you're all losing and looking gorgeous and eating happiness inducing food

Sorry no time to catch up yet

pointydog · 26/04/2010 19:57

I am not pmting. I have never really done th whole pmt thing.

A john lewis ad making people cry? Not seen it. Is it meant to make people cry?

pointydog · 26/04/2010 19:59

oh I wish I had heard xsomeone say correctomundo today.

I was on trip to bangladeshi restaurant so ate Bad Stuff. I need to zone in again. Am forgoing tea to make up for big fat intake

YoginiBikini · 26/04/2010 20:00

I never did pmt til I started this lark!

John Lewis ad on my to see list

EricPicklesFatNeck · 26/04/2010 20:02

john lewis add is v. clever. basically follows an attractive woman through her life as she finds fulfillment through soft furnishings and overpriced kitchen gizmos, all while wearing a red top

YoginiBikini · 26/04/2010 20:03

Thanks for the summing up Eric, I can now cross it off my to see list as I can just imagine it instead

pointydog · 26/04/2010 20:04

lol @ lewis ad. I don't think that would make me cry. You are leaving somethign out eric

JackBauer · 26/04/2010 20:06

at Eric's succint but very correct synopsis

cocolepew · 26/04/2010 20:07

I watched it on the JL website (we don't have one. Nor a Waitrose. But that's fine. Really). I didn't even sniffle [hard as nails].

JackBauer · 26/04/2010 20:25

coco, me neither, both of them. didn't raise a tear here either, more a glare/stop treasing you twunts/ type look.

duckyfuzz · 26/04/2010 20:27

I haven't seen it, but the christmas one brought a tear to my eye

duckyfuzz · 26/04/2010 20:29

just ordered these in my search fro some nice espadrille wedges I saw someone wearing today, am still searching...

dinkystinky · 26/04/2010 20:40

Lol at Coco and JB leading the counter-John-Lewis revolution. Have to admit the first time I saw it I was only having watching the tv and gotto v bemused at why the lady kept aging everytime she walked out a door or bent over - thought it was some bizarre ad for a time travelers wife type low budget tele movie

geordieminx · 26/04/2010 21:55

Just popping in as I have fallen out of the zone big style today , but have been celebrating new job so just a temp glitch.

Aitch - went to blind pig tonight on your recommendation - twas fab! I had 5pm menu, dh had a la carte, lovely waitress put them both through on offer so 3 courses each and 2 glasses of wine for £31.90 - bargin!

MamaG · 26/04/2010 22:07

When i was pg with BabyG, I watched Mamma Mia for the first (and only) time, I sobbed when that song about the girl growing up "slipping through my figners" etc was sung

SOBBED i tells ya

AitchTwoZone · 26/04/2010 22:16

great, geordie, congrats! what did you have? its ridiculous, that 5pm menu isn't it?

mamag, i can top that, when me and dd aged 4 saw that we BOTH sobbed, her saying she didn't want to grow up and me saying i didn't want her to either. then her weeping that she must grow up and move home so that she can have babies and me graciously allowing her to do this so long as she promises to visit. much stroking of hair and cuddling, seriously, we were absolutely in bits.
