I know the street, aitch, yes! You are truly bonkers in the nut.

I have had wine on a sunday night and I NEVEWr have wine on a sunday night.

pointydog · 25/04/2010 22:42

cyp, I don't understand your question. What do I do with them? Nothing really. Do you mean, how do I help to entertain them?

AitchTwoZone · 25/04/2010 22:45

i KNOW. lolololol. it seemed possible, with my menstrually-clouded brain. my clutch leg was actually shaking up and down by the time i got out of there. for a few minutes i honestly thought i'd have to get the cooncil to come and winch me oot.

pointydog · 25/04/2010 22:46

Bet you were dripping with sweat. I'd've been so cross with you, you know

AitchTwoZone · 25/04/2010 22:52

hahaha. no, no sweat. i don't think i breathed the whole time.

i used to be able to do it in my old fiat panda, but cars seem to have got so much bigger lately. the street used to be wider, i'm sure.

AitchTwoZone · 25/04/2010 22:53

at my lowest ebb, of course, i abandoned feminism entirely and frantically looked for A MAN to come and get me out of hole. except he wouldn't have been able to get in the car unless i'd climbed into back and he'd come in passenger side. anyway, it was women who were tooting, the bitches.

pointydog · 25/04/2010 22:55

I might've run away if it was me

AitchTwoZone · 25/04/2010 22:56

lol, can you imagine? with dd2 trapped inside? i did consider it.

pointydog · 25/04/2010 22:57

well, I'd've taken my kids too, obv. And gone for a big drink in tennants

AitchTwoZone · 25/04/2010 23:02

i genuinely have no idea how i got out of there. i have tried to work it out with models.

pointydog · 25/04/2010 23:06

I think you will have blocked out the worst parts though

cocolepew · 26/04/2010 07:47

I don't do anything with my DDs, we go out to the shops or for lunch but apart from that they amuse themselves/play out with their friends.

cocolepew · 26/04/2010 07:48

Aitch I would have just cried.

I love Doris Day too.

cyb · 26/04/2010 08:05

pointy last night on MN a new poster asked that question ' what do you do with your dc's?' and I dont know what she did but it filled up half the thread board...she must have kept pressing refresh or something

but...I guess you had to be there! It caused quite a stir at the time, we think it MIGHT have been a world record

Kelly Brook still my figure inspriration, well her flat stomach at least

dinkystinky · 26/04/2010 08:45

Morning all - Aitch, stress v good for weight loss so I bet your turning/sticking escapade burned off oooh at least a couple of pounds That sounds exactly like the kind of thing I'd do (am a crap driver and even crapper parker at the best of times) - hope you've recovered from your ordeal.

EricPicklesFatNeck · 26/04/2010 09:03

poor old aitch. in those sort of situations is just sit in teh car muttering '5 fecking minutes isn't going to kill you' and then work out reasons why i am right adn they are all unreasonable feckers.

sorry about your clothes.

just ate banana cake for breakfast. dh asked me to make some and i said no cos they never eat it and i just biff it all. but he insisted and then ate a sliver leaving the rest to sing its siren song on my work top all day.

BudaisintheZONE · 26/04/2010 09:18

Morning.

Getting ready to fly back to Budapest today. Finally.

i see nobody managed to look at my links! Sorry - they are a bit offputting. Am on dad's laptop and it is not as easy to do as on my PC at home.

Aitch - are you getting the irony of the anti-stress thing causing so much stress by ruining your clothes? And are you at the stage of being able to see that this is a shopping opportunity?

I got my car stuck in a parking space once and couldn't get out. Had not long moved to Budapest and hadn't been driving long. DS was 3 and was in car seat in back. Parked out side a restaurant and went to a shop. Came back and buggers in big cars had parked in front and behind. Had to ask waiter in restaurant who was watching avidly and mockingly to help. He tried but made it worse. So I asked him to do it. He then had to admit he couldn't actually drive!!! He got the restaurant manager to move it for me! The embarassment!

Will be zoning again today. Normally have McDonalds at airport but will get a salad from another restaurant before getting DS his MacDonalds.

EricPickles - stick the banana cake in the freezer. My cleaner went through stages of making banana cake anytime we had bananas till I banned her. We had a freezer full which I brought into DS's class at school one day. You could slice it and wrap slices separately in clingfilm.

In answer to the 'what do you do with your kids' question, I only have one and every day I thank God for Playstation, computers, tv and Nintendos!!!

dinkystinky · 26/04/2010 09:24

Buda - good luck for your flight home (at long last). Hope it goes smoothly and you avoid accidental biffage at airport - sounds like you've got it all planned out so hopefully you will. You have a cleaner who COOKS for you? Mine barely cleans the floors - very .

Eric - admiring your forebearance. Hope you avoid the siren song all day long.

BudaisintheZONE · 26/04/2010 09:47

dinkystinky - cleaner loves to cook but unfortunately is not as good as she likes to think she is! So I hardly ever get her to do anything.

EricPicklesFatNeck · 26/04/2010 10:45

buda that is genius. am off to deep freeze the siren

ZoneArmatrading · 26/04/2010 11:05

Am irrationally pleased about the siren going in the freezer (well done Buda) Hormones all over the place. AF ten days early (lot of that on this thread, are we tuning in? How mad) but was due today and feeling very hormonal.

Aitch the car and then the oil.... 'tis too much for anyone to bear. Re: working it out with models.. do you know that bit in one of the Hitchiker books where someone did computer models to work out how to get a sofa unstuck from halfway up the stairs? They found that not only was there no way to get it out. But also that it was physically impossible for it to have got there in the first place.

ZoneArmatrading · 26/04/2010 11:07

Where is Nondeplume? Did her DH overtake her on the rower and she's trying to catch up again?

AitchTwoZone · 26/04/2010 11:11

it was exactly like that, lolol.

JackBauer · 26/04/2010 13:39

Aitch, what a nightmare, I have been known to drive round for ages so I can park weithout witnesses as I am always scared of things like that happening. Any success recovering your clothes yet or is si really too late?

Buda, glad you are on your way home! Will look at links later...honest.

dinkie, running round after 22 kids has to burn lots of calories in stress, rather you than me though.

Fishie, alive or dead mouse?

I am despondent today. Had to take DD1 to docs for vaginal swab, which was deeply distressing for us both, and then I jumped on ehr scales for the hell of it. They read 16 9 Bear in mind afaiknew i went from 16 13 to 16 6 in a week and my scales read 16 4 today, so do I assume I was massiver biffer beforehand and have still lost that much or do I frisbee my scales off a cliff into the bay screaming 'AAAGh you bastard'

Half a pack of tortilla chips went yesterday while weeping at 24, luckily DH came home and selflessly scarfed the rest to save me. Apart from that though have been very good, prawn stir fry again for lunch, meatballs with salad for tea.

SuSylvester · 26/04/2010 14:35
