I like to think I look like this
But this could be closer

cocolepew · 04/04/2010 15:09

So your DH didn't have a bogey. He had a moule.

duckyfuzz · 04/04/2010 15:24

I am currently so far away from the zone I can't even see it on the horizon

fri - busy busy, brother came tea time, had cake etc then boeuf bourgignonne, mash, veg, chocs, sensible pg SIL went to bed, we stayed up and poliched off a bottle of port so yest had to go out for carby lunch but quite a light supper (all too 'tired' toeat!) then roast lamb today and although DH and I said no chocs we still have 2 boxes to get through from otheres, plus I got gu puds in

will try to re-find one tomorrow

sorry

bobbiewickham · 04/04/2010 15:40

Okay, here goes.

It's been a bad day. No point going into detail. Let's just say at a family do, cheese and pastry are going to feature fairly highly if you are a veggie. And there was a crispy bun and a choc cake incident.

BUT

I purposefully left my Easter ferreros at my mum's. And I love them.

And I haven't got an Easter egg.

And this year is nowhere near as bad as any other Easter Sunday in the history of my life, ever.

And I am wearing my Gap roll up chinos which caused slight camel toeage when I bought them - but they look great now and are as comfy as anything.

Back in full zone tomorrow!

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 04/04/2010 15:40

Happy Easter to all you gutsies.
I am STILL in the zone
Was a whisker under 11st this morning - hoping for 10st13 tomorrow. Though I am cokking beef strogonoff for dinner tonight - all that luverly cream. Small portion. V little rice. And NO bread.
Humph.
10st 13 tomorrow??? Pleease

Great weekedn but uterly shite from a zone pov...

Zone aberrations as follows..

Fri - Takeaway curry - 1/3 of a veg curry with 1/2 portion mushroom pilau rice, half a chappatti (sp) and a tablespoon of sag aloo. 1/2 bar of green & blacks butterscotch.

Then DH and I went to Oxford for the night to see Rhod Ghilbert and I ate

Sat - We had a 3 hours lunch at Jamie Oliver's restaurant and shared a starter meat antipasto plank with cured meats and mozzarella (mmmm). My main was a really thin flash steak (only ate half as it was too overcooked for my tastes) with a side of roasted butternut squash salad and another one of some fancy chickpeas. DH and I shared a pud of bakewell tart with cream. Plus a bottle of red and 2 bottles of water.

Then after the stand up gig I was hungry again for had a £10 room service bacon butty at midnight

Today - Breakfast was a bottle of water, but then we stopped off at a lovely pub in the cotswolds on the way home and I ate... Tempura prawns as a starter. My main was sea bass fillets with smoked salmon and scallops with a sauce and plain steamed veg (gorgeous). Then I had pud (!) which was sticky toffee pud with a tiny ball of vanilla ice cream. Washed down with 2 small glasses of New Zealand Sav Blanc and I started with a vodka and tonic (slimline - arf). Got home and had a Malteser bunny.

Bye bye Zone! In my defence, we were away for my birthday....

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 04/04/2010 17:26

For the first time in my life I'm glad that my family's catering arrangements leave a little to be desired - all that yummy food would be too hard to resist! Fortunately Dad hasn't really got a knack for catering bless him and consequently...

I am in THE ZONE after a brief sojourn yesterday. Yog and fruit for breakfast, smoked salmon, teaspoonful of coleslaw and one slice bread for lunch, chorizo low GI thing for tea. One mini egg did pass my lips but only because DS1 put one of his in my mouth as a gesture of love. It would have scarred him for life had I spat it out.

Missed my usual half an hour exercise with the lovely Ossom today but heaved railway sleepers around so that must count for something.

Poor Coco - fringe cutting can be a bit hit and miss - must have mine trimmed. Feeling a bit like this atm.

BalsamicJam · 04/04/2010 17:35

I want to claim the highest gain in a day. Friday I woke up and registered 11 stone 4.5 on the scales. Didn't eat excessively but ate late and drank wine and on Saturday morning was 11st 8.5

Was thinking I was onto a mammoth weight loss there on Friday but have screwed that one up! Have had a creme egg and white toast and butter and bit of bacon today and am about to have a roast chicken - will try not to eat a whole one

Have had a lovely day though - was up at 6.15 this morning hiding eggs in the garden - woke up the fox who wasn't impressed by me fannying around tying paper eggs onto branches and rustling around in the undergrowth.

bobbiewickham · 04/04/2010 17:38

Nom, that sounds a fantastic weekend!

Though, you might have to change your name to "Nom nom nom de Plume"...

cyb · 04/04/2010 18:11

Oh dear.

its not good having a mate who helps in a cheese shop and took delivery of 3 huge sacks of delicious rustic bread today which was unwanted. So I've had BREAD ARRRGGHHH

but only a bit. plus the most addictive gorgonzola i've ever had, coo it was dangerous,.

But I feel bloatsome already. fear there may be some bedclothes billowing this evening

ReshapeWhileDamp · 04/04/2010 18:22

Joining the general nomming.

Roast lamb today - god it was good. I didn't have potatoes though, just celeriac mash. Lots of veg (smothered in olive oil...). Strawberries and a choc crispie cake for pudding.

Lots of chocolate around, and I've had some truffles (like the pig I am! ) but not feeling too tempted to let go and stuff myself.

Back in the Zone tomorrow.

BariatricObama · 04/04/2010 18:27

he is marvellous, bless. tis a fine line to thread encouragement v's critcism

cocolepew · 04/04/2010 18:30

I think you have to eat 3000-3500 extra calories to put on a lb. Don't be panicking over 1 day of gluttony nice food.

cocolepew · 04/04/2010 18:31

Any of you live in London.? Tell me somewhere interesting to go.

BariatricObama · 04/04/2010 18:32

cyb · 04/04/2010 18:33

OP posts:
cocolepew · 04/04/2010 18:34

yum When I was dieting proper (unlike now) saturday was my day off

cocolepew · 04/04/2010 18:37

Yeah cyb, maybe around waterloo area if my mum and dad come, we stay in an apartment at The Union Jack Club so my brother and his kids can travel up from Wilts. If it's only me, dH and DDs I don't know where we'll stay. I was tying to convince DH that I should go on my own to shop visit art galleries.

NomDePlume · 04/04/2010 18:43

Have just done 40mins on the rower in a bid to undo some of the naughtyness. Just over 4 miles, about 330 cals.

Time for a shower.

Lots of lovely food on this thread. As of now I am back in the zone. DH mentioned chinese earlier, I shall stand firm.

Ooohh I'll wave at you. Was there a couple of years ago and did the Eye, aquarium, south bank (we had lovely chips at a pub on the walk up to the tower). Did duck tours and touristy type things. I know DD would like to go to NHM I wondered if there was anything different (apart from shops )
