ARGh root canal...on the plus side, your mouth will feel weird so you won't want to /be able to eat

I want to know what Su had for her curry feast last night

Ooh - I love pasta and pesto! And I would have far too big a portion too.

Ouch for the root canal MamaGlee - i have had root canal a few times. Lost count to be honest! It's not too bad - honestly. Long but I didn't find it painful. Had it done in London on one tooth and then had to have that tooth done again in Vietnam. Then had another one or two done here. Here I have a lovely gentle dentist called Albert.

Hello cyb - I have seen you around but I don't think we have 'spoken' before. Su is Slimcea right? And I know who she was before. Hard to miss. I am sure she was a model of restraint last night!

cyb · 01/04/2010 07:40

Hi Buda, recognise your name, sounds like you are doing v. well with eating like a slim person (this is how I view life now)

I HAVE BEEN BRAINWASHED

OP posts:
BariatricObama · 01/04/2010 08:14

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 01/04/2010 08:24

Ooh Mama [winces]- good luck!

I think she was a model of restraint - it's weigh in day tommorrow.

I need prefer to think of it as "enlightened" Cyb.

Just a quick post to say am still on the wagon - no snacks at all again yesterday - am v proud of self actually!

Thanks to all for great motivation - I didn't have too much to lose but think I am now only 2 pounds off goal so hope I might make it next week, depending on Easter Egg situation...

So have started thinking about maintenance strategy. PLanning for the day at the start of the day has been great for me - so think I'm just going to keep doing that. Plus the realisation that I don't even really like crisps and shop-bought cake. That was an eye opener!

Am off on long weekend hols this afternoon - have a great Easter all.

LorraineSattell · 01/04/2010 09:40

gosh, the beer and food yesterday and ive gained two and a half pounds. i wasn't even that gluttonous tbh.

you know what i think? i think it's beer and wheat bloat. haven't had a sniff of ibs pain since low carbing but even during the meal last night i was getting those familiar nauseating cramps.

am i really wheat intolerant or something? i ask this in the spirit of knowing that people who say they are wheat intolerant are pretty wank.

LorraineSattell · 01/04/2010 09:40

oh yes and thanks for the birthday wishes.

Good luck at the dentist mamaglee.

BosomsByTheSea · 01/04/2010 10:08

Happy belated birthday to Lorraine!

Well done to Buda - what a great loss!

After 2 days (not quite) in the zone, I have lost 1lb and am at my lowest weight for a year!

You know what, reading this thread and about all the temptations that are in front of us all, I think we are all doing really well. This thread has really brought it home to me about how modern life thrusts fatty and sugary food in front of you at every turn. It's no wonder there are so many fatties like me.

I am def. working on the self-control! I can't control what is around me (outside my home), but I can control what I put in my mouth!

cocolepew · 01/04/2010 10:13

I'VE LOST A POUND!!!!!!!!!!!! and I had 2 croissants with butter for my breakfast.

Zone smone.

Do you like my new sandals?

LorraineSattell · 01/04/2010 10:28

'fraid not. i think all fly london stuff looks like clown shoes.

cocolepew · 01/04/2010 10:29

Oi! I've lost a pound be nice.

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 01/04/2010 10:41

well done Coco! You throughly deserve it, what with your abstemious ways and the shunning of confectionary products. But you're funny so I can't be cross with you.

bobbiewickham · 01/04/2010 10:56

Incidentally, we went to see I Love You Phillip Morris (was v good) but six people walked out during gay love scenes. Was (at the walking out,not the love scenes).

dinkystinky · 01/04/2010 10:56

Morning all - Happy belated birthday Aitch (well worth going out the zone) and glad you enjoyed your curry Su (the chicken dansak and dahl- depending on who they did them - were good choices). Not in the zone (but then not a teacher, am a lawyer in stressful job with biscuit tins to dive into when the pressure gets too bad - hmm, wonder why am not losing weight as quickly as I'd like) but had sneaky peak this morning and at least I havent put any weight on this week (which is good as shitty work means cant exercise and eating crap at desk between hurtling between meetings, home, getting kids to bed and more bloody work). Ho hum, roll on easter.

Good luck with the root canal MamaGlee - will help you into the zone

Coco- you ARE a diet guru having lost weight despite the wotsits/doubledeckers/easter egg transgressions. have to admit have a thing for mini-cadburys finger bags at the moment - only 1.5 WW points for a little bag. Safer to go for one of those than the killer tin of biscuits in the kitchen next to my office at work.

BariatricObama · 01/04/2010 10:56

coco is the anti-zone ithink we need to shun her!

dinkystinky · 01/04/2010 10:58

maybe I should try the coco diet...

Aitch - I get bloated if I eat carbs in the evening (try not to) or have them after not having them for a while. Your body gets used to not having them so goes into shock when you do have them again.

dinkystinky · 01/04/2010 10:59

Bobbie - you are zonetastic!

BariatricObama · 01/04/2010 11:00

i will probably put on 1/2 a stone just thinking about coco and her croisants!
