Undertone ? Your exercising is brilliant, puts me to shame.

Buda ? That lemon chicken recipe looks yummy.

Buda · 31/03/2010 21:56

Mummymels - hi there - were you on the low carb thread? I think I remember you
being on Go Lower. Well done on your fab loss. The chicken dish was relish. I think making things as tasty as possible with lots of herbs and spices really helps as I don't feel too deprived.

geordieminx · 31/03/2010 22:27

There is a SueSylvester on this thread

Fight Fight Fight ((((in a Harry Hill Styleeeee))))

mummymels · 31/03/2010 22:36

Hi Buda, yes I have been on the low carb thread too, hi. Thanks re my loss. As I am now starting to make my own food rather than just eating the Go Lower meals I need ideas for things to make although I think this one might be quite high in carbs but have bookmarked anyway for one day when I can start having treats. How are you doing with your diet? Which one are you doing again?

Bad bad day for me. A corporate lunch thing, was taken out, three hours, lots of courses. I was not good. I had a lot of rice - two dishes with risotto and rice pudding. Blood orange rice pudding. It was a tasting menu thing, in my defence (?) so the portions were small. Is it better than my dinner is raisins??

It didn't make me happy. (A bit while I was eating it but that's all) Feel crap now.

I think this might be the biggest FAIL to date. But i feel i had no choice. And there are now raisins.

I will do lots of exercise tomorrow morning, I will.

I am watching Sophie Dahl on catch up TV. Its quite odd.

I am fat.

CrossWords · 31/03/2010 23:58

A "tasting menu" is such bollocks. You don't just taste it, you have to eat it. I was planning to be good, but then everyone went for the set menu and I would have been a prize arse not to have done the same thing.

Sophie Dahl doesnt really eat this food, right?

mummymels · 01/04/2010 00:04

CrossWords, don't beat yourself up over it. It was only one day and tomorrow you will be back to your diet and feel great again. I'm sure just one meal won't make too much difference and even if you put on a very little bit it will easily come off again when you are back on the wagon tomorrow.

CrossWords · 01/04/2010 00:07

Oh thank you Mummymels. I don't think the others (Su) would see it the same way. I AM A LARDARSE. I HAVE FAILED. I WILL MAKE PENANCE

CrossWords · 01/04/2010 00:11

Sophie is A LOT with the boobs/girlishness. Its a very odd programme.

mummymels · 01/04/2010 00:29

Maybe I am too far behind on this thread to know your history but please don't feel you have failed. You are only human afterall.

I haven't watched the Sophie programme. Is it on now?

LorraineSattell · 01/04/2010 00:30

oh dear off the wagon majorly today, or yesterday to be accurate. sushi, antipasti, pork belly, fish pie, some ice cream, four chocolate gingers and my birthday cake.

mummymels · 01/04/2010 00:32

Oh Lorraine if it was your birthday you are allowed a day off. I hope you had a nice birthday. Sounds like you had lovely food.

CrossWords · 01/04/2010 00:48

Ah Aitch I feel better now

CrossWords · 01/04/2010 00:49

Mels you are very nice.

LorraineSattell · 01/04/2010 00:56

excellent, crosswords.
and thanks, mel, i did. and three erdinger beers as well. what larks we had. and buttered peas. and caramel sauce and raspberry sauce and chocolate sprinkles on the ice cream. it was a classier joint than the desserts sound, we went off menu for the ice cream.

LorraineSattell · 01/04/2010 00:57

obv the sushi was earlier in the day.

CrossWords · 01/04/2010 00:59

Happy Birthday too, obv! selfish

CrossWords · 01/04/2010 01:03

Why does Sophie read out things - poetry and extracts and whatnot? It is disconcerting imo.

CrossWords · 01/04/2010 01:11

I meant sorry aitch for my first reaction to your birthday being relief at a fellow off-wagonner. I hope you had a lovely day (it sounds fun)! And you in no way validate my own bad food choices (too much Oprah).

LorraineSattell · 01/04/2010 01:17

haha yes it does. you've practically been good by comparison. that counts. cocolepew would take it as a signal to scoff a crunchie, fo sho.

most odd about sophie. i wanted to reach into the tv and apply a kirby grip to that fringe. and then yank up her spotty dress.

aside from the cooking, i am in love with her.

CrossWords · 01/04/2010 01:27

Me too. The eyes! She is sooo compelling. [have just discovered how to do italics. Want to write everything in italics. Haha just wrote the word everything in italics. Maybe should think about bed now....]

CrossWords · 01/04/2010 02:16

I had - breadsticks with rock salt, wild garlic soup, salmon with beetroot, sea bream, lamb. Then the blood orange rice pudding. And there was cheese. I feel better for having confessed it all. They were all tiny portions.

Buda · 01/04/2010 06:19

YES!!!! The scales are goin' down! Was at a high of 16 st 10 (ouch and ). This morning weighed in at 16 st 4.5!!!!!!

Mummymels - I thought it was you. Well I was trying to do low carb but could not stick to it past a morning. So am following low GI and NO CRAP. I am very good at eating crap. Can eat half a packet of biscuits in an afternoon. And eat far too much bread. Was in habit of crisps and ice cream at night too.

LorraineSattell - happy birthday for yesterday. Didn't realise you were Aitch.

Crosswords - you seem familiar. Are you another namechange? I can't keep up around here.

Haven't seen the Sophie Dahl show but agree she is beautiful. Would also agree that she can't possibly eat the food. Maybe in her size 14 days but not now.

MamaGlee · 01/04/2010 06:46

well done Buda! Brilliant start

i had pasta and pesto last night, too big a portion TBH

AND I ATE TWO TINY DUMPLINGS from DH's dinner
i've just discoverd vegetarian suet and they are so yummy

so close to Friday as well [bitter]

it's because i am terrified. Having horrid root canal at dental hospital at 9am

I'm so scared!
