ah undertone yes the second link works well. That was odd, your second post def wasn't there when I replied.

I dont quite get it though? So the first pie shows the percentage to lose according to target, what does the second one do? Apols, I am extraordinarily rubbish at maths. But sadly, rather good at most things pie-related

Undertone · 25/03/2010 14:30

Second one treats the whole of the pie as weight to lose - so in this case the second pie represents 62lbs in total. I have lost 6.6lbs of that 62, so the lighter purple slice shows how much I have lost - the 11% our of the 62lb 100% total. Does that make sense?

It just makes the light purple slice look bigger

geordieminx · 25/03/2010 14:37

every time I see the word pie I think steak and ale

MmeLindt · 25/03/2010 14:44

Oh, look at that. According to NHS I am actually 5ft 3 not 5ft0 as I have always though. I put in 160cm.

Bit shocked at how high my BMI is tbh. Jeez. I have to get down to 65kg to even be at the top end of healthy.

Went for a run but it was a bit hard going today. Will have a break tomorrow, think I have been doing too much. Still managed 3km mostly running.

Drinking lots of water today. That should help.

jenduff · 25/03/2010 14:49

Geordie how did the interview go?

No pie talk on here thank you or Su's alarm might sound.

Brek: (low carb)cooked brek - resisted toast and hash browns [determined]
Snack: brazil nuts
Lunch: granola yogurt and strawberries
Dinner: ham and egg salad

Feeling bunged up so hoping for some er movement later today ahead of weigh in [nervous]

bobbiewickham · 25/03/2010 14:53

I think cheese and onion.
Then apple.
Then mince.

Themasterandmargaritas · 25/03/2010 14:54

AA et Mme, I'm a kilo kinda gal too. And I ain't for changing, no matter what those stuck in the dark ages Brits think.

I'd be happy to shift just a couple of kilos.

It's my witching hour and I slipped (KLAXON ALERT). Instead of throttling dd whilst she was being precious about a bloody Cleopatra outfit, I found the calming effect of a miniature flat Father Christmas did the job. Oh and a coke.

geordieminx · 25/03/2010 14:55

Really well thanks - it was for a more juniour role than I have had in past but I wasnt that bothered as first job in 3 years, but he thinks they might have management role for me, and are flexible re hours/pay.

Fingers crossed!

Have had 3 jaffa cakes, 1 coffee and 5 cigs today

geordieminx · 25/03/2010 14:58

warm water and lemon great for constipation - I struggle to go twice a week on diet so have it fisrt thing, managedc to go every day this week... miricale for me!

CheeeseOnToast · 25/03/2010 15:10

ah thanks undertone, yip I think I get it. Might do one for myself over the weekend, once I weigh in tomorrow.

Just eaten a three-egg omelette with small amount of grated cheddar and bacon. Won't eat now until probably a snackette at 10pm so needed something to get me through. it was delicious, and am I right in thinking pretty low-carb?

oldenglishspangles · 25/03/2010 15:12

Becauseimworthit thanks. Will have a look.

bobbiewickham · 25/03/2010 15:12

Sounds carb-free to me, cheeese.

dinkystinky · 25/03/2010 15:31

Bonnie - yep prawn away. v low points (1 for 8 prawns I think)

cocolepew · 25/03/2010 16:22

Undertone I don't understand your chart but you do make me laff.

Ok bloke I work with sighed when I told him I'd put on a pound, he says you don't notice until 10 days I don't know if he was talking shite but he trained as a PE teacher and has been a personal trainer, do I decided I will.

Talking of shite, friends told me off for weighting myself pre poo, but I couldn't do it apres poo because I was dressed and I would have felt a little desperate undressing again.

No Double Deckers so far but am having a chinese (not a whole one I share with DDs). I'll go for a walk after because I had 2 -cupcakes today I'm super healthy and walk past the spar

mrsjuan · 25/03/2010 16:29

IME weight loss or gain usually lags about a week behind.

Which is why you need to keep in the zone.

And not be smug if you don't gain after a couple of days of eating cake.

BariatricObama · 25/03/2010 16:34

thats encouraging mrsjuan. i have been in a zone within the zone and nothing... will shut up now before i bore everyone even more with my whinging!

Chandon · 25/03/2010 16:42

Cheeseontoast, your chart is from a site that sells weight loss products, hence it is trying to tell everyone they are overweight.

cocolepew · 25/03/2010 16:44

oh oh oh and I bought new linen trousers from M&S and they're a little bit big
[smashes scales]

CheeeseOnToast · 25/03/2010 16:52

Good detective work, Chandon. Makes sense.

thehillsarealive · 25/03/2010 16:53

Just over 5KM we walked - which I think is around 3ish miles! Didnt even realise as it was so enjoyable, managed to get some sunshine too - and home before the rain started. feel all virtuous now. wont last, but still.

cyb · 25/03/2010 16:53

I KNEW IT I KNEW IT

I knew no good could come of me weighing myself

Today at work I snuck the scales that the school nurse uses to weigh the children into a loo cubicle. I removed converse (navy blue) jeans (GAP curvy) and belt (tan leather big silver buckle)

ANYHOO

Now I feel crap. I thought I was lighter than that

Humph

dinkystinky · 25/03/2010 16:58

Well done Hills. Cyb - bet those scales are duff! Ignore them and stay in the zone...

bobbiewickham · 25/03/2010 17:06

Remember Cyb - first thing in the morning after a poo standing on one leg and leaning on the sink is the only way to get your true weight, so cheer up!

cyb · 25/03/2010 17:08

yes i guess so...I just stupidly hoped I might be tickling 11 stone rather than 11 1/2

bobbiewickham · 25/03/2010 17:10

I wish I was tickling 11 1/2.
And you're taller than me...so take heart.
