I've got all this money left over at the end of the month from buying less food!

So I went on a shopping spree. I saw this skirt in Dotty-P's. It said 'Extra Large' on the label, so I bought it without trying it on (thinking XL in Dotty P's = probably ample enough for my booty).

Alas, no. It must be a size 14-16 or something, because there's NO WAY it'll do up around my hips.

So here's my plan - I'll power on through the next 2 and a half months and get slim enough to wear it at the polo in June. It's my June Goal Skirt.

Morning all - Feedthebeast, hope your little one makes an appearance soon: you've taken a healthy eating approach in pregnancy so you will find the weight loss post baby easier than it would otherwise be - but to be honest, I'd spend the first few months focusing on baby and sleep and just keep up with your healthy eating rather than dieting after your baby arrives. Agree with BIWI - didnt do the cooking thing before had DS1 (who was 2 weeks overdue the monkey so I feel your annoyance on being overdue) and spent the first month living off take away pizza (good one handed eating food, not good for still expanded waistline though). Invested in wraps and cooked up a healthy storm which I froze up before having DS2 - and had lost most of my pregnancy weight from DS2 when I returned to work when he was 7 months old (definitely not the case with DS1) - sadly rediscovered the biscuit tin and stress back at work which is why I'm on this thread...

Fishie - I do the same - lots of exercise, lots of eating properly and nada on the scales for ages - then all of a sudden I'll lose 3lb or something out of the blue. Are you drinking lots of water (at least 2 litres a day)? Are you eating the same things all the time? Try shaking up your diet and having lighter meals in evening - may help. OTH, having a liquid meal in the evening a la Geordieminx may be more fun...

Didnt shake to wake this morning as had early pilates class - though was rolling all over the studio ontop of one of those swiss ball thingies terrified for my life. Does that count?

moodlum · 25/03/2010 10:10

Bloody hell these threads move fast.

Breakfast 2 weetabix & skimmed milk.

Am on my second cup of instant coffee to encourage famed laxative effects of coffee in advance of my ww weigh in ce soir.

feedthebeast - really really do not worry about weight now. I was almost as pregnant as you are this time five omg six years ago, and there are times in your life when you can relax about what you eat, and this is one of them. Chill out. You will lose the baby weight when the time is right. Most of us are on here because like lg&t said, we lost the baby weight and then put it back on.

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 25/03/2010 10:18

in fact, to comfort you re sister, i am here because i lost weight while pg (pcos) and was all smug until dh bought the bread machine...

YoginiBikini · 25/03/2010 10:42

I'm here but bamboozled with information. Too much been going on on this thread. Tiring just looking at it

I put my skirt on back to front this morning to zip up and then twirled it round the right way. Wayhay!

That'll keep me motivated for the day

shortandsweet2 · 25/03/2010 11:25

Wow over 250 messages since last night, don't think I can keep up

Breakfast - protein shake
S - Nuts
L - beef satay thing
S - L/F phillie and cucumber
D - Quorn sausages and mash and veg.

I have lost 3 and 3/4 pounds since Monday and my work trousers are starting to feel lose. My holiday is 5.5wks away and would be happy if I lost another 5lb by then.

MmeLindt · 25/03/2010 12:04

I forgot my stats yesterday.

Aiming to lose: 20kg
Lost so far: 2kg

Size now: 16
Goal size: 12

Despite the red wine I had lost a bit this morning. Am trying not to weigh myself daily though.

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 25/03/2010 12:12

i can't help weighing myself daily. down another three quarters of a pound today, which is interesting as technically the ratatat is not v low carb. i wonder if the cheese evened it out a bit? i certainly couldn't face being on a solely meat diet.

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 25/03/2010 12:13

no one understands kilos but you euro freaks, btw. switch the button over to stones like a good girl.

LadyBlaBlah · 25/03/2010 12:14

If you are not used to it, Lentil soup plays havoc with your innards. I have eaten not much else for the last few days, definitely slimmer (fingers crossed for the big weigh in tomoz) but made DS2 cry this morning with the smell of my wind.

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 25/03/2010 12:16

ahahahaha

bobbiewickham · 25/03/2010 12:17

Bah. Need encouragement today, please.

Was very silly with wine last night - probably drank two thirds of a bottle and then had a glass of beer.

Then ate the leftovers from my dinner straight out of the pan

This morning I have gained one of the pounds I lost.

Didn't have my usual Thursday almond croissant but did cave and have a latte.

Had porridge with honey and tried to have some fruit but it tasted too sour.
Am having veggie sushi for lunch.

Feeling fed up with self.

MmeLindt · 25/03/2010 12:18

I caaaaaaaan't. I don't do imperial.

Um, 20kg is about 3 stone.

I have lost 2kg - that is about 4lb.

Is that right?

BariatricObama · 25/03/2010 12:20

bobbie, if it makes you feel any better i gained a pound without a drink fueled ramage through leftovers.

MmeLindt · 25/03/2010 12:20

Uff, LadyB. I think I will steer clear of the lentils.

Going running later.

Bobbie
I had too much wine yesterday too. I think it speeds up the metabolism. Stick to your diet today and you will lose the lb you put on.

My mum's boss (doc) used to laugh at her when she said that she had put 1/2 lb. He said that was just a big shite

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 25/03/2010 12:21

hence the reason i weigh after visiting the bathroom, mme.

bobbiewickham · 25/03/2010 12:28

Lol at 'drink-fuelled ramage through leftovers'.

While we're on the subject, I'm pooing loads since I've been on this diet.

Will be strong today.

bobbiewickham · 25/03/2010 12:28

Me, not the poo.

LadyBlaBlah · 25/03/2010 12:28

Sorry, think I lowered the tone but now we are there, I am hoping for a visit tomorrow morning, its not normal not to visit for 4 days, surely?

CheeeseOnToast · 25/03/2010 12:36

Morning everyone. I have access to some scales tomorrow morning - woop woop (or not) - but as they're not the ones I weighed in on originally how do I know whether to trust them!?

I was 60kg (9 stone 6, lesinge , BMI 23) last Wednesday at the doctors and I have been veh veh good since, so have to just hope the scales are both fairly accurate.

Oh and if we're talking stats, I want to get down to 53kg - 8 stone 5 - ideally (BMI 21 I think).

Holy crap I've just found a site that says I'm overweight!! Based on this bastarding chart I'm half a stone overweight.

aagghhhhhhh

BariatricObama · 25/03/2010 12:38

that chart is shite

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 25/03/2010 12:42

blimmin heck that chart has to be wrong

bobbiewickham · 25/03/2010 12:42

Jesus, that chart is a bit harsh!

According to that, I'd be hovering near the overweight bit even if I was six foot tall!

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 25/03/2010 12:45

lol me too

MamaGoblin · 25/03/2010 12:59

WW weigh-in this morning, first time for about a month (have been troughing away in interim) and ...

I lost 3 pounds! Can't believe it. Please note, this isn't since Monday when I started this again, this is over last month. Still. Am now 10st 8 lb. Still fat for 5'2" but am getting there.
