Think I might join you in a cuppa - sitting up with hot baby atm waiting for Calpol to kick in.

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 20/03/2010 22:32

Being nosy -what do you have planned for your fortieth and that dress?

cyb · 20/03/2010 22:35

I have booked a bar above a ...well a bar and have invited loads of people! ANd every so often I wake with a start, wondering if I have bitten off more than I can chew. There will be dancing, that was a prerequisite.

Its the food thats bothering me (not in a diet sense!) Not sure how much/what to provide and how £££ it could be.

Most friends I have spoken to say they don;t expect much at a 'bar' party, I thought about providing chips in like paper cones about 10.30 when everyones had a drink and are ready for something stodgy. But havent priced that idea up yet.....

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 20/03/2010 22:42

Sounds great - love a bit of a boogie. I don't think people will expect too much food. Chips in a cone sound yummy - my mouth is watering.

What will be your "must dance NOW" track?

cyb · 20/03/2010 22:43

Oh there are HUNDREDS

probably September by earth Wind and Fire

OR

Wham Rap

CoupleofKooks · 20/03/2010 22:47

LetThemEatCake · 20/03/2010 22:48

cyb when is your birthday? Love birthdays

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 20/03/2010 22:49

Love Wham. How long do we you have to select the dress?

cyb · 20/03/2010 22:49

Its the end of April, hence the last minutedotcom dash to be SLIM and full of joy de vivre

I will look fabulous at my party, I will look fabulous at my party......

cyb · 20/03/2010 22:50

well porridge I'm looking atm, but will leave purchasing until a couple of weeks before. I am saving all ideas in a folder on computer

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 20/03/2010 22:59

@ Kooks

You will look FABULOUS at your party - you've done brilliantly so far. Any way Su will kick your tush into line if you waver. I think that you're her star pupil - you'll end up with an award at the end of term!

Cake - glad to see they've claimed another victim - which ones did you get?

LetThemEatCake · 20/03/2010 23:07

There's a link to them on the A&w thread ( from which your absence has been noted) on iPhone so can't delink but the SJP ones in 'olive brown'. Didn't want to order from Sweden and full colour range doesn't seem to be available in Uk

Anyway: food. Am doing the Jason Vale 7lb in 7 days thingy so have had nowt but fresh juice today although did crumble in the witching hour (3dcs under 4, dh working all weekend) and eat a handful of almonds. But am bfing, so it's ok

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 20/03/2010 23:14

Nice shooze...

Blardy hell woman - if you're still bfing how are you coping on a handful of almonds? And I'm pretty sure that lack of willpower is not one of your faults...

Themasterandmargaritas · 20/03/2010 23:51

I recommend tequila as a wegith loss mehcnainsm. Lots of it and then dance the night away, for hours.

Tjamks to you, I reisisted the snaks and just danced.

I realisde I'm a chold of the eighties.

Did I do well?

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 21/03/2010 00:22

Attended dh family bday party yesterday. They are all lardy (except dh) - MEGA loads of food. Made do with plateful of salad etc and NO WINE

MamaG · 21/03/2010 07:59

I think I'm going to start running

I don't have time to go to gym

I can't swim very well

I had some FANTASTIC exercise last night, which I am hoping will have made up for the easter egg and muffin yesterday

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 21/03/2010 08:10

MamaG - running good for endorphins and tummy toning but not for weight loss IME. And it makes me hungry so I eat more. Just saying

MamaG · 21/03/2010 08:14

BariatricObama · 21/03/2010 08:25
