OK, during the last thread I managed to lose the grand total of...nothing in fact I am a few pounds up [sigh]

Have lost maybe an inch from bust waist and hips so that is something I guess, but I will not be in the same position at the start of the next thread. Sazz Someone give me a stern talking to

Well Sazz I have just admitted to being +10 so I'm sure you aren't as bad as that! That whole working/exercise timetabling nightmare is familiar to me - after a while of managing to bike on an evening I just can't seem to be arsed. Although have moved bike into little junkroom no, actually, junkroom is the right word, so might get laptop in there too and watch stuff on iplayer while I cycle.

If I could just give up drinking for a bit it would be so much easier Blush after a heavy couple of weeks I was thinking about it but now after two dry days I am looking forward to a glass of something too much not to have it Blush

ok i have now managed to put on half a stone in just over a week Sad.. really hoping its this stomach complaint that has caused such a massive weight gain.. either that or everything single thing i am putting into my mouth is loaded with a billion calories Blush

ok ladies, have exactly 7 days to get rid of these 7lbs before i go away!!

Need to sort out this pain obviously but from now on gonna try and figure out what i have been eating to cause such a gain and put strict measures in place.. gonna be a hard hard week Smile

LOTI, I am sure there must be some other reason for the weight gain, so no harsh rations or exercise. Rest and eat well and help your body recover Smile

at Hots thinking i can't beat 10lbs. That was my gain before i went to the BBQ on Sunday. Lordy Blush

Have eaten ok today, taken girls swimming, run 3k, 5 mins powerplate and a pilates class. I am working tomorrow but will force a break for shredding as i have to stall this massive gaining asap

i have been very good on the eating and took dd2 for a brisk walk.. tummy still really sore and really want to exercise but holding off for now.. tummy still horribly bloated and no obvious weight gain anywhere else so hoping its a blip Hmm

Nothing much happening here - weighed and am the same which is a miracle after what I ate this weekend! Chocolate nemesis ended a already calorific dinner on Saturday. Bread also made a feature Blush

Hi everyone taking a quick break to force this onto threads I'm on.

Well there is no cheese in the land I have not sampled, and I've not exercised in four weeks Shock apart from dog walking and the odd game of tennis etc so I am dreading the shredding but there's no way out. We have some new recruits on the books, I see, excellent, so are we considering it a new season? Let's get our lardy arses in gear. Isn't it beyond brutal how it can take you a month to lose 3 pounds, or whatever, and then about 10 minutes, seemingly, to regain the lot. Thanks, Mother Nature, much appreciated.

My current (not particularly radical) plan is:

  • low-carb eating, no bread/rice/pasta/sugar (I am out of the habit of this now anyway so don't really mind very much), plenty of protein and salad, the usual.
  • get back to drinking 2l water per day (I have slipped badly from this, it's essential, I've been v headachey without the water)
  • shred x 4 each week (previously I was x 3)
  • run x 2 or 3 per week (this will depend on creche, etc)
  • do a proper run in September (not sure what distance, I think I am registered for a 10K but don't think I'll be ready for that).

Jillian has a new DVD coming out called Shred it with Weights (I think).

I have a friend coming for supper & I have made a v pretty salmon and smoked salmon terrine, will have lots of green salad and sparkling water. Yum!

Oh and for the record Crispy looks FANTASTIC. Smile

I do Level 1 with weights which i like, so new DVD sounds good. However i suspect that i have yet to complete the first 30 days of shredding Hmm

Enjoy your supper. Sounds delicious. We are having Thai Chicken & Mushroom soup with noodles. Om nom and very good calorie wise

weight is very slowly going down again and drinking loads of aqua to flush the demons out Smile

taking it easy on the old exercise but desperate to get back to it as it does make me feel better and good for treats Grin

Ooh I shredded earlier and I'm sore now, just like when I started the shredding ages ago and couldn't walk afterwards. I"m not that bad now but shows how quickly you get out of condition.

Supper was good, yours sounded nice too Sazz.

Are you actually meant to do the shred on 30 consecutive days??

Have been drinking like an alky lately but today is sort of last day of hols so am having one or to for the road then back on health tomorrow. Eaten fat-laden fish and chips for lunch but that is THE LAW when at the seaside, non? Done loads of walking and hefting wet toddlers around, even had a sly go on a bouncy castle yesterday when no one was looking (and was impressed at re-emergence of pelvic floor muscles Grin)so has been reasonably balanced.

VG lovely to see you again darling, have been missing you loads Smile

YUCK raining again so no out and about walking today.

Am trying to figure how on Monday I was the same as Friday but today I am 3lb downHmm? I am now back to being 'only' over weight not obese anymore :)

I think I need to look at this 'shred' DVD to see if I can get a little tone now.

Managed a little biking today after trip to nott as was feeling very cramped after driving there and back, side still v sore but didn't seem too affected by biking..

still trying to up the water and stay away from the treats, but not very hopefully for a good weigh in fri Hmm

Have eaten pizza today as a result of trying to find indoor activities Hmm. Why couldn't i just pass on it and make bread rolls with the excess dough?

I am having thai chicken & mushroom soup for dinner but with no noodles so only 200 cals a bowl. Hopefully this will even things out a bit Hmm

oops BF and natural hormones i would imagine. Long may it continue Smile

Down to 10.5 after a pretty good week, albeit limited exercise. Aiming to keep under 10 and a half until i can work out how to do work and exercise in the same week Hmm

managed 17km on the bike yesterday and was at hatton fri and today which involved alot of running/ chasing after the dds!!!

Bought new scales again and think that I am back on track hopefully but not going to worry about anything til back from hols fri!! Grin

I have been pretty bad this weekend, but, but, but......I have already been to the gym, run 5.5k, 15 mins powerplate and 100 sit ups.

No weighing for me until friday as i know it would throw me into a fit of eating despair.

Right then, new month, new challenge, well the same challenge, just hopefully more determination to stick to it again. Am going to do the 30 day shred EVERY DAY Shock, NO MORE BISCUITS, NO MORE BREAD no more wine Wink

Met a lady in town this morning who I haven't seen for probably 6 years and she said oooh you've lost loads of weight, so I must have been a RIGHT bloater. NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
