well done on your shredding ladies

crispy i have the post af bloat also.. get it every month and it takes days fo it to disappear ..

tried a new tact today got out old dvd of joanna hall.. completed her tummy exercises and her cardio workout + 200 extra crunches + 10km on bike just to make sure..

not sure what the hell is going on with my boday being so good exercise/food wise and still gaining???

CrispyTheCrisp · 15/06/2010 13:22

Crept on the scales this morning and peering through the fingers, appeared to be +4

Ran 6k, 10 mins on powerplate and 100 crunches before 9.30 . Special K brekker, cottage cheese salad for lunch & steak & salad for tea

Well done on shredding Lady and Hots and for the new workout LOTI. Hopefully shking up the exercise will work for you. If i were you i would go back to FF, add all your food and exercise to make sure you are actually eatting enough. Biking 30k a day burns a lorra lorra calories

hotterpotter · 15/06/2010 22:03

Farking hell there is some serious exercise going on here today

I have done some low grade gardening plus shredded again tonight, Level 2 which I too find tricky and have to swap some of that plank stuff for something else. Was v sweaty after that makes 11/30 which i am quite chuffed about. Might have a go at level 3 instead tomorrow...

Got weighed and scraped in under Friday's weight this morning so unless my period arrives early and scuppers it I may be down anything up to 0.5lb this week!

LadyGaGardenia · 16/06/2010 09:54

Hello I am not ready to weigh until next week BUT I am here and still with intent. Does this count

Wrecked after shredding yesterday, I rather foolishly used leg weights thinking I could speed things up a bit and I feel somewhat postnatal / like a pulled wishbone today .

luckoftheirish · 16/06/2010 10:42

Lg I am equally wrecked today. My legs look and
feel like tree trunks not the look I am after

so with that in mind I think I need to tone down the old biking and stick to the DVD/walking/gym if I can ever manage to get there.

Just had a nice 45 min brisk walk pushing dd2 in pushchair and taking both FDA swimming this ago. Will hopefully do some DVD again if dd2 sleeps after lunch.

Well done hots on already being down. I fear it will not be a downward trend for me this week

luckoftheirish · 16/06/2010 10:44

That should say both dds this afo feckin iPhone!!!

luckoftheirish · 16/06/2010 13:02

Completed cardio workout and abs class on my DVD. Just swimming with the girls left! No wonder i never have any energy!!!

luckoftheirish · 16/06/2010 17:22

Swimming with girls completed beyond knackered and desperate for cold glass of vino tonight!! Must resist must resist

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/06/2010 18:06

Blimey LOTI, i think you need wine!

Ouch Lady, take it easy. No injuries please

Walked 2.5 miles this morning, 2hrs solid housework and wandered round Westonbirt this avo. Had a picnic lunch - chopped salad and fruit & no ice cream

Paprika beef and noodles for tea

hotterpotter · 16/06/2010 21:34

No shredding tonight, instead I have been weeding the garden and having a bonfire. Went swimming at lunchtime so have so far done two swims and two shreds this week. Was a bit naughty with three Breton biscuits a colleague brought back from hols but at least they were plain

OP posts:
luckoftheirish · 17/06/2010 07:41

ouch lg hope you feel better today.

well done on the swimming hots .

crispy your tea sounded delish hope you enjoyed it ..

beyond wrecked today, body really hurting but i guess for the first time in ages have been using different muscles ...

thinking that i might just do my ab work today..

weigh in tom ekk and things are not looking good.. managed to body serve the wine last night tho!!

VintageGardenia · 17/06/2010 08:21

Good work everyone. Hoping to run today if can get creche booked.

Loti can I ask what your exercise dvd is?

luckoftheirish · 17/06/2010 09:05

hey vg,

its a joanna hall "drop a dress size for life"

i bought it when dd1 was born in a vain attempt to get back into shape!!!

its broken down into 5 sections but i only do the cardio which is about 25 mis and doesn't require any equipment and the abs blaster which is only 10 mins!

its actually really good as you get a good sweat doing the cardio and the abs work is really working my abs iykwim!!

the old biking is fantastic for burning calories but i think i am so used to it now i have to cycle more and more to get a good sweat up and for all the calories i seem to burn it doesn't seem to make any difference on the scales

VintageGardenia · 17/06/2010 09:21

Sounds good. I am still shredding - day 15 I think (?) but I was reading on another shred & people were saying you get much better results if you do it day after day - wtf is the word for that - whereas I frequently seem to have a day off in between. I have the creche booked for 11 o'c today so will get a run in then. Still feel bit leaden today though and feet sore from jumping around with dafty weights on, goes to show how bad for your body to carry extra weight I suppose . I quite like about the shred that you can alternate the workouts and I don't actually hate Jillian at all. I am confused about what I need, though. More cardio? More resistance? Longer at everything? Dunno.

CrispyTheCrisp · 17/06/2010 09:36

VG, the running and then powerplate definitely worked for me. I suppose it is like Jillian says, mixing cardio with active muscle stretching (for want of a better phrase )

I have yet to shred on consecutive days, although not specifically planned that way. Will try and shred later this morning as out for lunch so not walking to preschool either. Double negative whammy

How are you and India getting on this time?

LOTI, is your pilates out the window atm?

VintageGardenia · 17/06/2010 09:50

CONSECUTIVE thank you

VintageGardenia · 17/06/2010 10:02

We are getting on ok, me and India, but it's still v early days. My appetite seems to be smaller in summertime (except for round period times!) which makes it easier, this must be some atavistic tendency.

Might give the powerplate a go at the gym this session if the creche ladies don't come looking for me!

luckoftheirish · 17/06/2010 11:52

i completed abs workout and did cardio as well as i am such a sucker ..

crispy hoping to do pilates tom if dd2 gets on ok at nursery.. had to hide from my trainer at the gym yesterday when dds swimming..

i really miss it tho.. i think vg mixing cardio and toning works best.. i think that recently i have done too much cardio and not enough lengthing and toning.. hence feeling and i think looking like a beached whale ..

off to get a spray tan for this feckin fancy dress do on sat.. haven't had one since 1998!!!

CrispyTheCrisp · 17/06/2010 19:53

Shredded 14/30 (Level 1 with weights). Offset by lunch out with wine, bread and cheese . No dinner this eve, just had a cuppa and a yoghurt with honey and hope i can stay reigned in

So, I think 4 ExerSazz this week :

Walk/shred
Swim/Pilates
6k Run/powerplate/crunches
Shred

, just made it

Will not be a loss this week as i was still +1.5 this morning, but that's ok. Have had a weekend away and lovely lunch today and not much 'hardcore' exercise

Well done on the lengthening and toning LOTI, i don't think you can beat pilates for resculpting though

VG - Did you get on the powerplate? Something like 10-15 mins is equivalent to an hour in the gym. Apparently

Hots, had you stepped on the scales this am, do you think it might have been good news?

hotterpotter · 17/06/2010 21:27

Yes Sazz it was a good weigh in this morning but got my period today too so may not carry through until tomorrow...

Been swimming again today as bleeding will be too heavy by tomorrow so have done 3 swims and 2 shreds. Not in the mood for it tonight as seem to get raging PMT once my period has arrived, so feeling rather and may just go to bed early.

No need to worry on your maybe +1 Sazz, after all you gave yourself a half-stone cushion

Loti good luck with the spray tan. I reaaly need to get my hair cut, haven't been since before Christmas Is the party this weekend? Are you going with H? How are things? Sorry for 3rd degree there

VG did you manage to mix it up at the gym? I like the idea of shredding every day but don't think I could actually do it, unless I got up half an hour earlier for work. 5.30am? Nooooooooo!

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 18/06/2010 08:06

Arse. +1.5. Was hoping to be a bit lower as not been that bad this week. Ho hum. Better luck for you ladies

hotterpotter · 18/06/2010 08:31

Was -2 yesterday, am level today, fecking hormonal water retention. Oh well, I actually managed to swerve more carbs than I usually do when my period starts so may see the benefit next week...

OP posts:
luckoftheirish · 18/06/2010 09:18

down -1 today but not great as i was +3lb on tuesday so level again with last week iykwim..

and arse arse arse my trainer has cancelled my pilates session today..

dd2 back at nursery so my nerves are in shreds ..

not sure who asked but fake tan is dark!!! "h" also going to do as its his brother's surprise party.. but he will be at one end of the room and i will be at the other getting myself very drunk

CrispyTheCrisp · 18/06/2010 10:28

Ah, buggerations Ladies. However as our Lady always says, it will be falling off next week with no effort at all [hopeful]

What a PITA about pilates LOTI, can you remember enough of it to do at home?

I have run walked 2.5 miles and deciding whether to do the 2.5 mile pickup or shred. Think i will just end up walking and then have a swim this avo

Friend over for lunch so I am going to make a big chopped salad and try and stick to that

CrispyTheCrisp · 18/06/2010 10:29

Oh, and LOTI, what is DH going as?
