Good luck this week Charlotte, I'm sure you will be looking how you want by the time your holiday comes.

PrivetDancer · 22/01/2010 11:20

sorry mummymels - I just re read my post and it sounds like I was having a go at you! I wasn't!
"How much more do you want to lose?" was a genuine questions, not "How much more do you want to lose???!!" btw, in case it read like that

I have lost 4lbs this week! Quite shocked, but I have had a cold and lost my appetite completely for a few days so will be surprised if it stays off when appetite returns!

Charlotte - I was at centre parcs last year - there weren't many skinny people in the swimming pool at all, so I really wouldn't worry about it. A quick scan round will reassure you that everyone else is too worried about their stretchmarks and where their kids are to notice yours!

dinkystinky · 22/01/2010 11:27

Morning all. Sounds like everyone is doing well. Spookycharlotte - good you have something to focus on for the weight loss - good luck!

MummyMels - I think weight loss tails off as you get closer to target weight so 3lbs loss is still great. I'm about 3/4 of stone off my target and dont think have lost much but have been exercisng hard and can see my muffin top reducing before my eyes. Can you start focusing on measurements as well as scales now? May give you the impetus to carry on.

mummymels · 22/01/2010 22:54

No worries PrivetDancer, I didn't take it that way so don't worry about it but must admit for some reason I missed your question so sorry I didn't answer. Ideally I'd like to get to about 9 stone so got another stone and 11 lbs to go.

Well done on such a brilliant weight loss this week. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Thanks dinky, that makes sense that the weight loss will slow down towards the end. I suppose it would be impossible to lose half a stone every week! That's brilliant that you are so near your goal.

havoc · 23/01/2010 12:16

Half a sodding pound! I've only lost half a pound, and my scales, apparently, have a margin of error of 3lbs! I'm no good at this dieting malarkey.

I'm pleased, honestly, I am, to hear of all of your successes. I'm just a bit .

Charlotte - don't worry about centre parcs. There are all different shapes and sizes there. Beside, everyone is too busy rescuing their children from the water slides to worry about your legs!

mummymels · 25/01/2010 07:37

Havoc - it is still a loss so you are going in the right direction. At least you didn't put on. Sorry I have a terrible memory - which diet are you doing again? If you are not happy maybe it's not the best diet for you.

I am on here early today so I've not done my Monday weigh in yet so I will post that later today or tomorrow when I've done it.

Just eating my granola breakfast, today with yoghurt and some raspberries mixed in before the kids are up and the house turns manic.

dinkystinky · 25/01/2010 09:05

Havoc - I lost half a pound last week. This week have lost 2 and a half pounds. I seem to plateau and then suddenly lose some - so dont give up hope!

havoc · 25/01/2010 23:35

Thanks for the encouragement!

mummymels I'm not doing any particular diet, just a 'cutting down on everything, particularly sugar' one devised by me! I think that's where I'm going wrong. I need to do something stricter! I've been looking at WW online, but I'm not sure if its for me.

dixia · 27/01/2010 15:27

Hello all,
Sorry about not being on here for a bit. Last week I lost 2.5lb and (as I weigh myself on Wednesdays) I know that this week I have lost 3.5lb. So I am really chuffed and seem to be getting better all the time.

Taking into consideration the 2lb I lost in the week before we started marking weightloss on here, I have now lost 9lb (since 26th Dec) and am very happy with that! I seem to be losing more each week. Personal trainer is helping, I have also been in Panto this week, so been moving about a lot.

The other thing is that I have just been tracked down by an old flame and that has made me feel young and spritely! He lives in the USA so its not like it is going to jepordise my marriage, just nice to be tracked down i guess?

Well done, dixia - for the weight loss and the old flame. Have you reduced your dress size since Christmas?

I know that's where I'm going wrong - I'm not moving enough. I really need to get motivated and start exercising but I'm more of an outdoors girl than a gym girl and it's been far too cold lately. (Weak excuss, I know). A personal trainer would keep on on track, I guess, but the idea of one scares me!

mummymels · 27/01/2010 21:40

havoc - you have to do what is right for you and it seems to be working as you are losing and not puttig on so that is all that counts.

dixia - well done on the weight loss and how eexciting about being tracked down.

I'm not feeling 100% as had a minor operation on Monday. Having said that, being on Go Lower has been perfect as I have my package of food already delivered to me so no trying to cook myself. Watching DH attempt to cook for the kids has made me thankful for my ready delivered food!

havoc · 30/01/2010 09:19

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. It must be working as I lost 2lbs this week .

mummymels - my neighbour is on Go lower and has lost a great deal. She's about half the size she was and looks amazing. She has gained so much confidence as well, so I'm glad its working for you too.

dinkystinky · 01/02/2010 09:43

Hurrah for the loss Havoc.

Hope you're recovering well from your op MummyMels.

Have lost 2lbs again this week so am going to make a concerted effort to keep the exercise up this week.

mummymels · 02/02/2010 20:53

havoc - brilliant weight loss this week. That's great to hear about your neighbour. I have to admit that I haven't heard of many people on it but I have found it works really well for me.

dinkystinky - Brilliant weigh loss for you too. I'm getting there thanks re the op.
