I am +2 sazz, you are in good company. Aaaarrrggghhh kids being annoying, back later

cyteen · 10/11/2009 10:36

Helloooo

Sazz I lol'd at 'arse +3' as that's what my arse actually looks like

SazZaVoom · 10/11/2009 11:40

Cyteen - i fear the +3 probably is on my arse . Our friends from France came and brought some of my fave french cheese (St Aubray) which was washed down with copious amounts of red wine joie de vivre

hotterpotter · 10/11/2009 18:34

Cyteen don't forget we have met you so unless you have been shovelling in cakes like me a pig your arse isn't that big

Sazz 10k that's brilliant, well done! I did 12 miles again last night but that is out of my league. You know that 3lb is only temporary though don't you? Unless you really ate/drank ten thousand extra calories at the weekend???? I ate a lot of parkin but even I didn't over eat by half that amount. Drink water and you'll wee it out

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 10/11/2009 19:44

Of course you are right Hots, even i didn;t manage 10,000 calories!

Before you think i am really dedicated to running i must confess that there was a rather riveting episode of Jeremy Kyle on at the gym where Gino had bedded 2,600 women. And apparently not getting any of them pregnant. Well, other than the girl who ordered a paternity test. Obviously. He then decided he would return to Portugal though as he didn;t love her and it was easier. Riveting stuff to run to and i had to find out the outcome

SazZaVoom · 11/11/2009 07:46

1.5lb off today, so a 1/2 from me

Quick 1/2hr swim before DD2's lesson this morning and then maybe netball training this evening if DH gets back from his trip in time.

Remember: Drink water. Lots. Now. Go.....

hotterpotter · 11/11/2009 09:26

Didn't follow my own advice so only down 0.25lb here. Your run inspired me though Sazz so I did an extra mile on my bike. Not as dedicated as an hour running but 13 miles in 34 minutes is not too shabby. Maybe I need a telly in my bedroom to keep me going

Hello I've had a network problem since getting back from London, and it's not solved yet though am connected for mo. Any Mac users that can help? Might ask Miamla on main thread.

Anyway - spent 5 days in London gorging myself, drinking shedloads of wine and generally acting the maggot, though miraculously did not gain while away. However the bad bit is not one single step of exercise in a week, back to the running tomorrow will have to do 7K or will be off track.

My mum returning with ds's, back in a bit.

VintageGardenia · 11/11/2009 14:35

Jaysus Sazz you ran for an hour

Fair feckin play to you.

hotterpotter · 11/11/2009 21:37

Welcome back VG, we missed you Well done on being a pig and keeping the weight off

Been on the bike again, another 13 miles in just over 35 minutes. This is despite feeling sick due to eating too many dry mini weetabix after tea which have then swelled up in my already full tummy creating a rather unpleasant sensation. Ho hum. They will hopefully have made their way out before Friday morning . Water water water.

On the plus side was chatting to a woman at work who reckons I look 10 years younger

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 11/11/2009 21:53

VG i did run for an hour (well 45 mins, then run/walk combo), but man was i bored . Still don;t think running is really my bag, but at 810 calories burned, it must be doing me some good
GLad to hear you had a good time in London with no weight repercussions . As we have said many times, it is getting back on the wagon as it were to balance out the excesses is the main thing. Welcome home

Well done on the continued biking Hots, it takes a lot to keep it going and motivated so well done you

I swam half a mile this morning and been pretty good on food despite a glass of wine this afternoon , or should that be [lush]?

Yuck to dry weetabix, what were you thinking woman?

hotterpotter · 11/11/2009 21:55

It was the mini ones with chocolate chips and a sugary coating They were yummy but think I have managed to put myself off them for life

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 11/11/2009 21:58

Nope, still can;t see the attraction

Now dry Frosties, they are a different story [yummy]

VintageGardenia · 11/11/2009 22:15

LOL at [lush] emoticon! Excellent to hear you've been having a little afternoon indulgence, makes me feel a wee bit better. I even (shhhhh) had a sneaky fag or two while I was away, that'll be fun when I cough black gunk up all over the treadmill then . I think I got carried away by watching too much Mad Men.

Yes the running is blardy boring, by Christ, but v virtuous stuff.

hots fab at 10 yrs younger comment, I bet you do, too. I think you even sound younger .

I have been pyrolitically cleaning my oven yes it's great to be home so my eyes are stinging with smoke (am sure that is not meant to happen) so am going to fumble up to book and bed at magically early hour.

hotterpotter · 12/11/2009 14:11

Turns out the weetabix weren't to blame for my tight tummy unless they also cause diarrhoea oh well feeling a bit better now and not really hungry so might be good news for tomorrow. How is that though, hoping some stomach upset will improve one's weigh-in performance

Salad for lunch and sausage meatballs with tomato sauce (not ketchup ) and rice for tea so I'll see how it goes. Have also completed the online tests for a job I am applying for at work rather than waiting until tonight so have time free for more cycling. Hip hip hooray.

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 19:58

hots my 5 day long low level tummy bug really helped me

Good luck on the bike BTW. No real exercise here other than tromping round the zoo for a few hours. Had a chicken wrap and sweetcorn at Nandos and DH cooking chicken risotto for tea [yum]

Did you manage to get a run in today VG? I will either run or swim tomorrow depending on how long i booked the creche for before DD1#s swimming lesson. Can't actually remember

SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 22:49

Have had risotto, wine and a teensy bit of cheese tonight, so there will be no loss tomorrow. Never mind, took me 36 years to put it all on, i guess i can;t expect to remove it all in 6 months

SazZaVoom · 13/11/2009 07:38

+1.5 from last week

Will try and run today but a bit demotivated tbh. Thinking i may just try and maintain at 11.5 stone as efforts to go lower seem a bit futile atm

Hope you all have better results

hotterpotter · 13/11/2009 08:09

FFS I'm up 1 too

I have hovered +/- 1lb of this weight for the last 7 weeks and I cycled 51 miles in the last 4 days Not even fecking diarrhoea can get me off this arsing plateau...

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 13/11/2009 08:32

You have done amazingly well on the cycling Hots, so you will be adding muscle, toning up and generally looking more and more fabulous . Lots of water for all today and let's try and fit in an exercise session today before the weekend

hotterpotter · 13/11/2009 09:17

Got my swimming stuff so hoping to go at lunchtime, which will give me 5 ExerSazzs this week.

Thank you for your kind words sazz don't feel really any more toned but I suppose I must be. I know I have gone from being maybe the fattest person in the office to just one of the normal/bit tubby ones so it's all good, just wish I could keep going down. At this rate the only time I will manage to get down below 11 stone will be two months after death and getting even under 12 is seemingly unattainable

'Enjoy' your run if you manage it

OP posts:
cyteen · 13/11/2009 10:42

Don't forget ladies, exercise builds muscle which is heavier than fat. And also don't forget the incredible willpower, resolve and hard work that has got you so far already

hotterpotter · 13/11/2009 13:25

Have had my boring lovely swim - 40 lengths in 40 minutes so am off duty now for 48 hours

I will not eat a massive slab of parkin this weekend though, nor half of a chinese meal for 3, so we will see what next week brings. DD's birthday is in 10 days though so there will eb bunnage aplenty to try and fail to avoid Luckily I am not the sort of mother who invites random nursery girls round for parties so at least there won't be piles of crisps, butties and party rings to tempt me (poor DD)

Good pep talk Cyteen , how's it going for you? Are you on the toning road rather than attempting to lose weight?

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 13/11/2009 14:33

Very hots that you have done your exercise, i'm just off now to the gym. I have an hour before DD's lesson (which i will go to the gym in) and then 1/2hr in the pool whilst she has her lesson. She likes to be able to see me whilst she messes the teacher around

hots DD1's birthday here next Fri and we are having a party, so there will be sausage rolls and crisps to avoid. Have also bought pink wafers but they look so toxic i think i will steer clear

SazZaVoom · 13/11/2009 17:40

7k: 40:23

47 seconds faster than Tues . If i had done the next 3k 23 seconds faster, i would have come in under the hour for 10k

I am overthinking this aren't I?

No swim as pool had poo in it
