Hey Sazzles hope you don't mind the nameheck but you are our inspiration [crawly bumlick]

Can you try out the treadmill at work? I don't think i would use one at home as i expect it would feel very flimsy compared to a gym standard one

Pilates is a bit like yoga - only need your front room. My DVD has a bit of aerobic stuff at the start for warm and some arm free weights (tins of beans ) at the end, so a good mix

Have you got your boots yet? I almost bought some thigh length high boots today but realised it was a tad too far for a 36 year old mother of two

hotterpotter · 03/11/2009 21:51

Boots are great thanks they're a little short, finish a few inches below the knee but they look great and are soooo comfy. I tried on my old ones the other day which I got from Evans a couple of years ago, used to be just^ able to do them up and they are quite saggy now

Sheesh lady, you're still mid-thirties - make the most of it! If you can get thigh boots on then you should be buying them

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 03/11/2009 21:56

LOL, they were in Primark and therefore made of some dodgy plastic which smelt terrible and made my legs sweat in the 2 mins i tried them on , so possibly not a long term option. Not that i expect they are designed to be

hotterpotter · 04/11/2009 09:53

Nearly got those extra 2lb off at my midweek weigh, thank flip. It's really a relief as I stupidly got weighed on Sunday afternoon and was 7lb heavier than I was this morning . Must have heavy jewellery [no I don't]

Forgot to say last night that I pushed myself a bit more and did 12 miles in 32.5 minutes. Not as inducing as running but still OK, and am planning to gently increase speed, distance and time

Have had another mini-meltdown tonight, DH being an arse to start with, then it was my turn to put DS to bed and he just cried so then I cried then DH came up and he went quiet straight away so I cried some more at the fact my baby doesn't need me any more so I have ended up with a massive headache and no cycling as I also have an application form to finish. GRRRR.

Feeling a bit better now though, and will deffo do bike tomorrow. Plus I went in M&S today and after your size 12 triumph Sazz I bought 2 cardis, both size 14

M&S cardis, oh boy I am a middle-aged lady but quite a foxy one

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 05/11/2009 09:40

Very well done on the 14's

Just done 5k in 28:50

Only had dd2 in the creche for 1/2hr so had to get a shifty on

hotterpotter · 05/11/2009 19:58

Go you, 5k in less than 30 mins is brilliant

Just waiting 5 minutes to make sure DS is asleep then I'm off on my bike. Aiming to do 12 miles again...

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 05/11/2009 22:19

Yay did 12 miles in 34 minutes, legs a bit wobbly after so must have done some good

Good luck girls at the weigh-in tomorrow

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 05/11/2009 22:28

You too hots, hope all your efforts pay off as you deserve

I wonder if VG managed to swerve the chips tonight?

hotterpotter · 06/11/2009 06:32

Well I am back down the 2 I was up last week so not too bad, however I am still 0.25lb up on my weight before I went on holiday 5 weeks ago Will just have to keep knuckling down I guess. Not helped by the fact I am supposed to be swimming today but forgot to sort my stuff out last nigh. I haven't been swimming for a while and not sure where it all is, plus DD is sleeping in our bed (scared of fireworks, bless) so don't really want to go rummaging, oh flip. Well if it's not swimming I'll just have to do bike again tonight [sigh]

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 06/11/2009 08:18

Found my stuff, phew, so swimming it is

Good job too, as I have either a Dine in for £10 or chinese meal for me 3 to scoff tonight, depending on what M&S have left when I get there. Eating once DC are in bed hopefully negates teh need for crisps so that's saving 500 calories, hehehe

Any guesses as to why I am still tubby...

hotterpotter · 06/11/2009 09:24

Hellooooo

Anyone else weighing in today???
Don't make me go for the

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 06/11/2009 11:41

Well I am going for a swim in a minute so someone better have weighed in by the time I get back

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 06/11/2009 13:34

The biscuit's eyes have gone when did that happen???

Feeling a bit like TS here posting away to myself but as you are all bunking off I have no choice.

Swam 40 lengths today in 39 minutes so that's an improvement of at least a minute, was a bit wobbly when I got out but had lunch (virtuous salad which was mainly cabbage, livened up with feta cheese, mmm) and OK now. Just got to keep awake till I finish work in 3 hours...

SazZaVoom · 06/11/2009 13:36

LOL hots, mad run to preschool this morning and then i stayed and helped out as duty parent. Good to hear the 2lbs have been banished and you now have a clean slate for the sprint run into Christmas. Keep going lovely lady, it will all be worth it i promise . Hope you enjoyed the swim and you can relax when you get home without having the biking hanging over you [hurrah!]

Despite our lateness i did manage to step on the scales this morning and another 1lb off . Been good food and exercise wise (7k run on Mon, swim Tues, swim Weds, 5k run & 3 mile walk Thurs and 3 mile walk and swim today), so good to see it paying off, albeit slowly

hotterpotter · 06/11/2009 14:22

Thought you said the bikini hanging over me ... have you seen my mummy tummy

Well done on the 1lb , it's not much compared to earlier losses but if you are verging on size 12 I guess it's only to be expected that it slows down! Anyway 1lb a week soon adds up. If I can manage to lose 1lb per week until Christmas I will be at my original target which I never really thought I would get to

Got to actually do it first though...

How much more do you want to lose anyway? It can't be that much surely?

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 06/11/2009 20:53

LOL at Bikini . I have had chilli and wine this evening. Could do with some munchies but have restricted myself to a yoghurt and 5 brazil nuts

I would like to lose another 12.5lbs which would take me to 10.5lbs and a BMI of about 23. Sadly for you lot it is 1st 10.5lbs for your freebie trip to Barcelona and i aint seeing that happening now

If you get to your original target by Xmas that will be ace . I need to lose 2lbs per week to get to mine and i fear that is not likely to happen

SazZaVoom · 06/11/2009 20:59

Ah feck it, wine got to me

Should say: 10.5 stone and 1stone 12.5lbs

hotterpotter · 07/11/2009 08:55

Coffee swiss roll, chinese food and way too much wine for me last night, was very nice. We have a nearly 4-mile walk to watch the fireworks later and as DD has bagsied the pushchair (she is too old really but it is past her bedtime and a long way) DS will be in the sling so that should use up a few calories

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 07/11/2009 08:58

Forgot to say too how brilliantly you are doing Sazz, you are 9.5lb ahead of me now

OP posts:
cyteen · 07/11/2009 10:41

Hello girls, just getting myself back on this thread as can hear DS stirring...been a lazy few weeks for money/illness/low mood reasons but have just been for a run this morning and feel sooooo much better. Have instructed DP to chuck me out of the house in my trainers next time I start moaning about feeling down

Back later.

hotterpotter · 07/11/2009 18:17

Welcome back Cyteen . You will find in your absence that Sazz has got the running bug too whereas I am still firmly on two wheels...

OP posts:
cyteen · 07/11/2009 19:41

Heh, cool Any ExerSazz is good though, right? I'm actually planning to enter myself in a 10k run next year to raise money for my brother's charity, so although I don't think I'll make 10k by Christmas I'll certainly aim for at least a respectable 5k.

SazZaVoom · 08/11/2009 09:17

Well done on the run cyteen, it's amazing how exercise can give you such a buzz. However it is so easy to get into a cycle where you don't feel like it, don't do it and then feel even less like it.

We will try and remember to kick you up and out at various times for a run . I think entering a race will give more motivation, especially for your bro . Also apparently (as i have never been near a 10k race in my life) that you will run it faster and be able to carry on much better than on a treadmill as you are so caught up in the 'event'

Contemplating a run today if DH takes the DD's out but do not really feel like it due to rather too much wine last night

S'pose i ought to go and get dressed as a first move.........

SazZaVoom · 10/11/2009 07:56

Arse +3 [sad

Will be a tough one to pull back by Fri, but running today

VG - are you back, i need to know what the competition is up to

Morning Hots & Cyteen
