We lay on the floor and waggled our arms and legs a bit. I'm not feeling too bad this morning, though the friend is sitting very upright at the moment as she claims her stomach muscles are killing her.

DD is 7 so it's not much of an excuse, but what would those skinny 18 year olds know anyway

northernmonkey · 15/05/2009 16:01

My children bought me a wii fit for my birthday. I really need to get on that if i'm gonna shift anything. My week started of great but today i've gone downhill My dog had pups last night and i've been up all night for the last 2 nights with her. When i'm tired i just really cant be bothered. (its my fault i know) Today when ds2 was sad with his crisps i ate mine, then his that he didn't want Then i ate about 6 custard creams !!!
Really feel like i've let myself down

slug · 15/05/2009 16:13

MMmmm custard creams (Homer Simpson Drool emoticon)

PieceNharmoknee · 15/05/2009 19:39

northernmonkey, I too am at my weakest when I'm tired or upset.

Tomrrow is another day. The main thing is not to dwell on it or you'll be reaching for the rest of those custard creams

northernmonkey · 16/05/2009 11:34

Thanks PieceNharmoknee. I'm feeling much better today, especialy after a good nights sleep so hopefully no more picking at custardcreams (although they were very nice)
My kids have a challenge at school to see who can do the most steps this weekend so hopefully i'll be able to walk the cals off

LovingTheRain · 16/05/2009 12:07

Morning ladies. Hope everyone is okay

I went to the gym this morning, did the treadmill and the bike (watching the biggest loser seems to have encouraged me)

What is everyone eating this weekend?

Well done on the gym LTR!

Well after a week of eating granola and homemade soup, I'm treating myself to a chicken biriani takeaway tonight - shoot me!

Chilimama · 17/05/2009 18:06

Hello all!

Hope you are all having a good weekend, Nothing much different for me this week, I'm a bit apprehensive about weigh in tomorrow as it is TOTM. At least I have an excuse if I stay the same though as water retention is a real problem for me!

Glad to see you all doing so well

LTR - well done on the gym, my friend had persuaded me to join hers so I am going along next week.

Piece Nh - Hope you enjoyed your biryani, good for you! We all need a treat now and then ;)

Hello to those who have joined the thread this week!

piecenharmoknee · 18/05/2009 09:20

Well I only lost a pound - dh got carried away with the takeaway order on Saturday night and once it was here I couldnt resist

Will try harder next weekend

LovingTheRain · 18/05/2009 09:55

piecenharmoknee · 18/05/2009 09:56

Well done LTR

Chilimama · 18/05/2009 15:28

Well done Piece and LTR!

I lost 1/2 a lb, ok considering. Hoping next weeks weigh in will be far more impressive once the water retention is over

LovingTheRain · 18/05/2009 17:50

Welldone Chilimama. I am the same before mine, i often feel i look a lot fatter round the middle and certainly feel it when wearing my jeans.

Atleast we're still here and still loosing weight.

Going to do more time on the cross trainer tomorrow, with my free personal traner (myself! )

Well done everyone.
I've lost 1 and 1/2 so i'm quite pleased, especially after having a chinese last night
Good on you LTR for the gym. Wish i had the time (and the guts) for the gym. I think its Wii fit for me

Happypetal · 20/05/2009 23:33

Well done everyone! I'm behind you all on the weigh in - do it on a weds - but..... I lost another pound! Hooray hooray! I even got my weight watchers silver seven today as that makes it a half stone loss! It so makes me laugh - we give out stickers at school as an incentive ........ and they work for me too! Half term next week - can't wait - but I so know that the diet could easily take a back seat .... any tips?

LovingTheRain · 23/05/2009 07:47

I am the same happy petal. Not the kids are off i am more inclined to snack!

A few tips for us all over half term:

  • Give the children healthy snacks
  • When you feel hungry, eat fruit/veg
  • If you don't think you can make it through a whole week eating healthy, assign yourself a meal where you can indulge e.g. maybe take the family out for dinner one evening.
  • If you do go off course, get straight back on it and don't worry.

Just came to add my bit, I know I'm a large lady but had a very big shock back in Feb when I weighted myself. Was underweight most of my childhood but then teens hit and it's been a down hill slope. Now 20 years on with one child I have managed to gain a large amount of weight.

Hate to write this down but hope I can inspire others plus have the support of others in the same boat as me. In Feb had a big shock to find I was not just under 16 stone like I thought but instead I was 18.3 stone.

This was the shock I needed to do some thing about my excess. I'm pleased to say I'm now 1.5 lbs off my first stone of weight loss. Yes I know still a long way as I would love to be about 9.5-10 stone but would be very happy with 11 stone. Find it so hard where I work several of the women are on diets but in my eyes really don't need to diet. Most of them are working on under 10lbs of weight loss.

Hope you don't might me joining you and hope I don't put anyone off in the fact that I have already made a start.

Chilimama · 26/05/2009 21:31

Welcome Lexcat and well done on your loss so far, how inspiring!

Another 1.5lbs off here this week, how are you all this week?

Happypetal · 26/05/2009 23:15

Lovely to have you with us Lexcat - we can all do this together ... and you have done so well already! You're nearly at your first stone!

I'm due to weigh tomorow - AF visiting so not great hopes - but know I've been good - so maybe next week will be the telling time - hoping to wake up a size eight!!!!!

Well done Chilli - great news!

worley · 26/05/2009 23:27

LovingTheRain · 28/05/2009 08:42

Welcome Lexcat and worley.

Welldone on weight loss this week everyone,

How is everyone today?

Not had breakfast yet, am thinking maybe cereal or porridge!

What's everyone else had/having?

lexcat · 28/05/2009 12:43

Trying really hard but what with it beem 1/2 term and been at home or on days out finding the diet very hard.
Hope to go for a go walk this afternoon but dd is not that keen. Looking fowards to a few hours to myself in the week to go out and get some exercise once she back at school.
It's horible been so close to my first stone and yes 1.5lbs is not much but it's really playing on my mind. Weigh-in on at the weekend so really have fingers crossed.

How are the rest of you doing this week. Worley did you get past mid morning.

LovingTheRain · 28/05/2009 12:57

I had a six inch subvway for lunch with ham, chicken and salad. Was 270 kcal but i am allowed 1500 a day and wondering how i am going to eat the rest. Am making homemade burgers tonight. Can't decide whether to do them with home made chips cooked in fry lite or mash potato with either salad with the chips or veg with the mash!

Got to get new scales have defenly lost weight this week (all body measurements are down) but the scales say I've put on 3lbs last week and another 5 lbs in the last 3 days. 8 lbs in about 6 days when I've been really good with diet, plus been out walking and on the bike for the last 4 days in a row.

Was thinking these, anyone got them would love some feedback.
