I have some similar, they're weight watchers ones, digital. Always found them to be very good

Welldone on your lower measurements.

Maybe you're building muscle so weighing more or retaining water (around your TOTM maybe?) Don't be disheartend - keep it up

Thanks for the words of support but I forgot to say dd weight has got down 4 lbs in the last week. She likes to see because her thinking is if she is gaining weight she must be growing. So we also have to measure her height too.

My weight goes down near the motm (yes I know not the norm). Will get the new scales as mine are just very cheap tesco scales that can vary a lot on different places in the house. If they also say the same then I will except some how have gained a lot of weight.

Hello all

My name is Eyeballs and I fell off the wagon big time. I have spent a week in Cornwall scoffing every cream tea I could lay my hands on But I repent and am here to mend my ways...

How are you all doing?

LovingTheRain · 01/06/2009 16:34

No worries eyes, i think a few have. Me for one!
Have been getting my pre period cravings again. Made cakes today and already have eaten three!! ooopps

Got new scales 3lbs lighter. The old ones had a differents of 2lbs within 5mins this evening so think they really have had it.

Now I don't have a clue where I am as don't know how good the old scales were. So will start my weighin all over again for where I am in the morning. Bit upsetting as I thought I was very near my first stone lost but now really don't know.

How's everyone else doing this week or has half term made it that much harder and your've all fallen off the wagon.

LovingTheRain · 01/06/2009 20:04

Am back on the wagon now! (Think i must have hitched a ride as don't know how i got here )

Hello - I think I joined when this thread first started but fell off the wagon for the last 2 weeks as have had chest infection and any movement has left me coughing for about 10 minutes each time.
However the antibiotics have kicked in today and I'm back on it as of tonight/tomorrow morning. I've decided I'd like to lose at least 3.5 stone by the end of the year and the rest i'll work on in the new year.
I'm on holiday in October and would like to be 2 stone lighter by then.

With all this lovely weather i'm going shopping for salad and more fruit tomorrow and hoping this and lighter, summery dinners will help. Good luck everybody

Welcome back paranoidmother

We'll all do it together and support eachother

lexcat - well done on your loss, I have the same scales and find them very reliable.

Welcome back paranoidmother, wishing you the best of luck on your weight loss journey.

I was planning on measuring myself this evening so that I can log that to every week. Any handy hints on the best places to measure - I was going to do hips, waist, arms
TIA

LovingTheRain · 02/06/2009 19:47

boobs, thigh and upper arm too paranoid mother (I might do the same!! )

OP posts:
paranoidmother · 02/06/2009 19:49

oh yes had forgotten about those.

Am glad I don't have a machine to input the data to, so that it draws a picture. Mind you it might give me an idea of what I really look like.
My son said my tummy was like a bumpy ride when he sat on my lap the other day. Definately time to make a real effort to lose the weight.

Right I'm off for a walk as soon as my friend gets here. Have a lovely evening.

LovingTheRain · 02/06/2009 21:33

I'm going to do a 'before' swimsuit shot tomorrow. Going to ask DD1 to take a pic after school.

If you're looking for a free way to burn some calories, sex is meant to burn loads!! DH is away this week so i'll have to wait to try this one out!

OP posts:
lexcat · 03/06/2009 12:42

Right got the new scales weight in a 17stone 10.5 lbs I am very pleased to say this morning it was down 2 1/2 (yes I know should wait till the end of the week just had to try the new scales again).

Having gone up 8lbs according to the old scales I really need a good week to make feel it's all worth it. Mind having said that, I wore a skirt to day which was to tight last summer. Still a tiny on the small size but at least I can get into it now. Thats a great feeling.

lexcat · 03/06/2009 12:46

Sorry forgot to add their are 5 measurement
Upper arm
Bust
Waist
Hips
Thighs

Personal only do waist, hips and thighs as those are the worst places on me. Mind have lost round the bust as I'm needing to do my bras up tighter

LovingTheRain · 04/06/2009 11:20

I might post a before pic. Hopefully will spur me on!

OP posts:
paranoidmother · 08/06/2009 15:52

OK so have been doing half an hour on the Wii fit and last night it told me i'd lost 5lbs. Even if the scales can be a bit dodgy i'm happy i'm on the downward scale. Here's to more tonight.

lexcat · 08/06/2009 16:15

Well done paranoid I seemed to fall from the wagon accidentally over the half term. Back on and have lost 3lbs this week. Hope to be down 3.5lbs by the end of week then will be back on track and would have lost my first stone.

How's everyone else doing?

This week we have:

Paranoidmother -5lbs Total -?
Lexcat -3lbs Total -10.5lbs

paranoidmother · 08/06/2009 17:03

yes 5lb total - that works out at about over 3 weeks as I had a chest infection for 2 and then felt better and exercised for 1 week.
