Starting tomorrow, my healthy eating begins (And exercise)

I am going to loose 6 stone (atleast).

Would love others to join me who want to loose some weight, we can support eachother etc!

Ooooooops sorry Mumcentreplus! Ah well if you have it now at least it won't be tempting you tomorrow

EyeballsplayswithCake · 04/05/2009 23:36

I have so much stuff in the house. If I wait to finish it I'll be 30 stone and about 70! Must ignore, must ignore!

EyeballsplayswithCake · 05/05/2009 07:03

Morning!

Right here I am checking in. Just weighed myself. OMFG far far worse than I thought. Am on my own at work today so won't be able to leave to get lunch which is good. Whatever I take in is it.

LovingTheRain · 05/05/2009 07:23

Morning everyone!

I think i am going to keep a graph of me weight loss on excel (No idea how to but i'm sure DH can sort it for me)

Going to get the DCs up in a minute. Am going to eat when i'm back from the school run - was thinking of walking them to school but it's raining so we're going to drive

(Already wanting cake!!)

sorry, was meant to say my*

EyeballsplayswithCake · 05/05/2009 08:09

Don't worry. I was going to walk dd into nursery and then hop on the train to work but I'm opting for the car too. My reasoning is that I can drive straight to work but there is an M&S and a Sainsburys at the station where I could buy accompaniments to my healthy brown bread sandwich!

LovingTheRain · 05/05/2009 08:24

Welldone on resisting the temptation.

Am hoping i can make it through the day without snacking!

OP posts:
EyeballsplayswithCake · 05/05/2009 08:28

We'll be fine. One day at a time and all that. Anyway, having weighed myself this morning and being thoroughly shocked I'm not backing out now. I'm back up to what I was when I came out of hospital after dd last year. Eek!

LovingTheRain · 05/05/2009 09:07

Have done 11 minutes on the wii fit. Going to try and have a whole hour done before i pick the DCs up. Going to clean the house to take my mind off food.

Chilimama · 05/05/2009 09:30

Morning!

I also weighed myself this morning and was not prepared for the shock of exactly how much I weigh

I am just about to have breakfast after getting back from the school run. Have a busy day today dashing around to meetings so I am hoping it will act as a distraction from snacking!

PieceNharmoknee · 05/05/2009 10:14

I wweighed myself as well - I'm the same weight as I was when I had dd so in 18 months thats zero progress

I keep telling myself thats the most I will weigh and I will never see that weight on the scales again

I've had fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, now I've just got to put that DVD on

Well done ladies, great start by us all

LovingTheRain · 05/05/2009 10:15

I was thinking of maybe taking some 'before' pictutes of myself in a swimsuit so i can compare when the weight comes off.

LovingTheRain · 05/05/2009 10:16

welldone everyone on the brekkie front.

Going to do some more time on the wii fit!

OP posts:
EyeballsplayswithCake · 05/05/2009 10:32

Didn't do so good on the brekkie front, in that I didn't have any! It's a bad habit of mine that I can't face breakfast till about 10am and I know that breakfast is very important. And I was running so late that I didn't bring anything with me except my poxy sandwich which I might have to nibble all day! Am going shopping tonight so will be better prepared tomorrow. Am starving now though. Had half a packet of choocy biccies in my drawer and have just thrown them in the bin and put a tea bag on top of them to discourage me from digging them out when I am at chewing table leg point! Am going to fill up on cups of tea for the moment. Not a very healthy start

slug · 05/05/2009 10:41

Am checking in too.

I recently gave up drinking on medical advice and found I lost a stone and a half without doing anything else. A good start methinks.

Today I, and an equally large lady from work are going to sign up for the university gym, where we will scare the skinny students by swimming together. Safety in numbers, that's our plan.

EyeballsisonaDietAgain · 05/05/2009 10:47

Definitely before pictures are a good idea. I'm going to have to get DH to brandish the camera tonight. God help him me!

This is where I wish I drank. I have nothing else to give up except food!

LovingTheRain · 05/05/2009 11:00

welldone slug and welcome! It must have spured you on after seeing 1 1/2 stone come off

Loviing the name change Eyeballs!

Have done a total of 22 minutes on the wii fit. Will try and do some more before lunch

OP posts:
PieceNharmoknee · 05/05/2009 11:47

I've done the DVD, I cant breathe and I fear tomorrow I will be all seized up and unable to move - but at least its done now

Slug - well done on giving up the alcohol, not something I think I could do TBH. I never think of it as being calories, I wonder how much I could lose if I just restricted my drinking to say just on a Saturday night.

Before pictures are a great idea - I should pin them to the fridge and the cupboards to stop me eating but then it would absolutely terrify everyone else

Off to have a shower and then lunch. I have no idea what to have for a healthy lunch and I'm restricted to what we have in the house as dd is having her nap. I have brown bread so could make a cheese sandwhich, is that healthy?

EyeballsisonaDietAgain · 05/05/2009 11:53

I don't know about healthy but it's what I'm having too I'm also suffering from lack of shopping as this was a late decision spurred on by LTR's thread last night. Tescos tonight and loads of fruit, revolting lovely yogurts and calorie free stuff will jump into my trolley.

LovingTheRain · 05/05/2009 11:58

The weight watchers yoghurts are the only low fat nice ones i like. The muller light have a horrible taste about them i don't like.

I am having a cheese sandwich too. Might put it under the grill and have lots of salad to go with it.

(often i'd be eating something unhealthy like a Big mac with an apple pie for afters )

Haven't thought about my shopping list yet, but know i want to buy brown rice and wholemeal pasta.
