Everyone eating lovely things. Haven't posted what i've been eating as it's not very thread worthy!!

Have been at the launch of a Children's Centre today so was only able to snack as was busy all day. Ate a few bits from the buffet though!

Chilimama · 13/06/2009 17:40

LTR - I'm sure a few bits from the buffet will be ok, buffets are hard to resist especially when everyone is tucking in!

My mil turns 60 next week and is having a big birthday picnic with all of the family, I am dreading being tempted with all the lovely food, especially as she loves fresh crusty bread, rich cheese and olives. How will I resist it all?

Anyway today I have had.

Breakfast

Toast with baked beans.

Lunch

Homemade butternut squash, potato and carrot soup with a crusty roll and a tiny bit of cheddar.

Dinner

King prawns with light seafood sauce and some iceberg lettuce - yet to have!

Snacks

a biscuit, some yogurt and an options hot choc.

Drinks

2 black coffees, a glass of sugar free lemonade and 1lt of water.

Have a leg of lamb defrosting for dinner tomorrow as my sister and her bf are coming over.....Mmmmmmmm lamb, I can't wait

How's everyone doing having a very stressful day. Busy morning at work topped off by period pains. I had mountain of laundry and ironing badly needing doing on my return home just finish that. Time to get dd who's crabby and grumpy. the child from hell.

Trying hard not to raid the fridge looking for comfort in food but old habits are hard to break.

So having a really great start to the week.Hope every-one's nicely on track.

Good Luck to you all

Welldone PM - 5lbs is fab. Please tell me what you're eating so i can copy and loose 5lbs too!!

OP posts:
paranoidmother · 17/06/2009 09:52

well eating as i would want to but trying to eat slower and listening to my tummy when it says full. Also have managed to think to myself 'well if I eat that i've only got to do an extra 30 minute exercise to get that off and i'd prefer to do the extra 30 minutes getting rid of what i've got' Sounds corny but at the moment it's working. I've been doing about an hour of exercise each night. Either Wii Fit steps/boxing etc or just going for a walk with a friend.

Have been eating weetabix or supermarket version with lots of fruit for breakfast, then trying to have some salad with either lunch or dinner. Also meals with less sauces - i'll add sauce to anything normally and making an effort to just cook stuff with spices and herbs and nothing too much extra.

I've also put notices near all the food to say ' Am I Hungry?' to try to make me think what i'm doing.

It helps that my DH has lost about 70lbs + over the last year by cycling to work each day, so he's fit and slender and into 30 waist trousers. So now I want to be fit and look as good as him.

LovingTheRain · 17/06/2009 12:04

Stayed the same again this week!!

Need a good kick up the backside to get back on track!!

Hi all

Well I lost 1.5lbs so 9 lbs in total. To be honest I was a bit disappointed after losing 7.5 in the first week. Never mind I am keeping focused - looking in the mirror is enough at the moment - it's as it I have just seen the real me and it's horrible!!!! Ha!

Paranoidmother - 5lb Total 10lb
Lexcat -3.25 Total -13.75
Ner93 - 1.5lbs

Ner1993 · 17/06/2009 12:14

oops sorry - did it wrong!

Paranoidmother - 5lb Total 10lb
Lexcat -3.25 Total -13.75
Ner93 - 1.5lbs Total -9lbs

lexcat · 17/06/2009 20:58

PM I'm amazed another 5lbs great work. Your fast catching me up and I've been on a diet for a lot longer. Great news on dropping a dress size still to do that. Clothes are getting looser and have to do my bras up a hook or two tighter. Down over 20cm but still not dress size. Can't wait for that first dress size drop never gone down only up.

Ner 1.5lbs is still great keep it up. You will have good and bad weeks but your doing so well keep it up. I seen to go up every 3-4 week and come straight down again. That really is hard even though I'm starting to anticipate it.

LTR Come on your the one who started this whole thread but you still are sitting on the bench. You can do it and if you really want too. It would be great to add some more weight lose by your name . That's my best I do for a kick up the back side, the rest is down to you.

We need some more mums where are you all we are friendly and would love to hear from you.

Chilimama · 17/06/2009 21:15

Great work again ladies, 2lb loss for me this week.

Paranoidmother - 5lb Total 10lb
Lexcat -3.25 Total -13.75
Ner93 - 1.5lbs Total -9lbs
Chilimama -2lbs Total -10.5lbs

paranoidmother · 17/06/2009 22:47

I think i've done well for the first few weeks but it'll plateau out a bit now and be a bit less each week. I don't want to lose too much too quick and put it all on again.

I think we're all doing great, much better than putting it all on.

LovingTheRain · 18/06/2009 13:10

I ate two slices of granery bread for lunch with a home made burger (i put in red onion and grated carrot). Also had a banana so feeling happy again and back on track.

OP posts:
paranoidmother · 18/06/2009 13:24
