Ta da!!!

Here it is, Ladies. It feels safer in one little spot!!

I'm not brave enough to put my vitals up yet, will wait for a few new posters to come along and throw me words of encouragement!

kettlechip - back to you.....

ducdo just read your post ... you're doing so great! You can always go for a run later to make up and it sounds like you've been doing great all week. if its not too late throw the left overs in the bin!

congrats drlove8 on weight loss and others too.

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 01/05/2009 19:12

I used to do the fairy liquid thing too

I've got 200 calories left if I want them, not sure I do, maybe will have 55 on an Aldi Be Light lemon fromage frais after my bath. Might not bother.

Although I didn't eat badly before I can see I was eating far far far too much, I have what I would have previously considered a kids sized meal tonight and it's filled the gap pleasantly.

drlove8 · 01/05/2009 19:37

well tbh i havent changed what i eat ,apart from i boycot chips and biscuits now. -and i dont really miss them

lilianfox · 01/05/2009 22:36

ducdo just re-read your post. I'm sure you won't have undone your hard work. good on you for going out to dinner as well and staying in the cals!

drlove8 not sure if you've said already but what is your goal weight? I was originally 9.11 and now 9 stone 4 as well. my initial goal was to get down to 9 stone but as it has been coming off quite quickly i am considering going for 8.12 or even 8.7 my pre preg weights. what about you?

Ellibop · 02/05/2009 10:28

Hello ladies - well I ended up going out on a boozy night out last night so went well over my cals allowance on booze! I didn't go mad and was home quite early but still had about 600 cals more than my target

But I had a nice time and I'm back on board today so hopefully I might still lose something this week...Am off to a 1-hour Step class later so am hoping that should earn me some extra cals.

How is everyone else doing this weekend?

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 02/05/2009 10:43

Morning Ellibop

I've planned out a home made chicken casserole for dinner tonight, that burnt a fair few calories just working it all out for FF log I can tell you!

ABout to have my morning snack of a cocopops bar - much nicer than a special K one and less cals

ducdo · 02/05/2009 12:33

hi all, I gave in and sneaked onto the scales this morning to find no change .. (normal weigh in monday morning) bit disappointed but still had my PJs on and hadn't been to the loo yet, so hoping will balance out by Monday's weigh in with atleast 1 pound off!

Hubby on nights this weekend so need to think of nice meal for 1 that will fill me up and is around 500 cals .. any thoughts?

Off for a short cycle ride after lunch with kids in tow to earn some extra cals.

reducedfatkettlechip · 02/05/2009 13:46

I've only lost 1 lb so far this week, (12 pounds total, 10 to go now) but I think I have time of the month bloat, so hopefully that will mean a bigger difference this week.

I feel so much better though, clothes are fitting, and actually too big in some cases. Ifeel like the spare tyre around my hips has melted away. Just the thunder thighs to tackle now. Running this evening in my spanking new trainers to earn plenty of calories for a good dinner!

Well done everyone, you're all doing so well!!

pottycock · 02/05/2009 15:29

Thank you for agreeing that didn't seem enough - in fact, I survived with 300 cals to go at teatime but DP had gone and bought lovely chicken breasts with basil and mozarella, chunky chips and asparagus.....bang went my first day! Pathetic really!

I've done okay today though, pink grapefruit for brekky and lovely bread and cheese for lunch. I'm thinking a jacket potato would be good for dinner.

I am going to change my weekly target to 1lb (was previously at 2lb) and hope that increases the daily calories.

I am loving that 'dressing your child' counts as an excercise , perhaps I am not as sedentary as I thought!

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 02/05/2009 19:11

Pottycock - profile tab then my goals

Had my huge chicken casserole and it made loads for the amount of cals in it, was very pleased and am now stuffed to the brim with 300 cals left for the day, may have a 55cal Aldi fromage frais later but think that'll be all.

Ducdo, did you decide what to have?

reducedfatkettlechip · 02/05/2009 22:15

Pottycock, did you manage to change it? 700 cals sounds so low.. there's no way I could survive on that. I just work off what the food screen says I have left, I don't really look at anything else or I get confused. It's taken me 6 weeks to figure out what the dashboard is on about but it explains it all on the resources tab.

Am amazed that I managed to run 3 miles tonight with no walking, after just 6 weeks of trying to be healthy. This is from someone who used to get out of breath after jogging for a few seconds.

Jacket potato with cous cous salad, cottage cheese and mixed leaves is currently my favourite low calorie dinner. I actually really enjoy it. It's definitely writing everything down which is making the difference, I find that I don't want to undo the hard work of exercising through mindless munching.

I want a book of tasty low cal recipes, anyone got any recommendations?

pottycock · 02/05/2009 22:32

Thank you! Here's my new plan.......

Start weight
11st 0lb / 69.9kg

Current weight
11st 0lb / 69.9kg

Goal weight
9st 7lb / 60.3kg

Target loss/wk
1.5lb (0.7kg)

Target date
09 August 09

Target cals/day
1032

So far I have exceeded that both yesterday and today (1101 yesterday and 1232 today). Yikes.

I am actually guessing at my weight as don't have a pair of scales (DP threw them in the skip when we moved into our new house at 8mo pg and I discovered I have put on four stone ) - I have put a message on freecycle to see if I can get a set to stick down the side of the loo.

I am terrified I'm going to weigh more like 12 stone tbh!!!

pottycock · 02/05/2009 22:33

I am so impressed with your running btw - I used to run many moons ago and loved it. Flattest my tummy has ever been! I broke into a slow jog t'other day to prevent dd running off and all I could feel was a major ripple round my middle...!

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 03/05/2009 12:42

pottycock, I think you really do need to get some scales asap, or go to Boots and weigh yourself there once a week? You may be starting at a false point and maybe you could have more cals?

WI day for me tomorrow but snuck ont he scales again sneakily today and know I am in for a GOOD loss

Plan today:
60g shreddies and 125ml milk, tsp sugar
cottage cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, 4 cream crackers, coco pops bar
boil in the bag fish in butter sauce, lots of veg, baby boiled potatoes, fromage frais

pottycock · 03/05/2009 20:14

Oops, chicken mayo sandwich has tipped me over the allowance today, I've had 1700 cals which means I won't put weight on, but won't lose any either.

How is everyone else doing?

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 03/05/2009 20:35

I seem to have managed to cram an awful amount of food in today but still got 150 to play with left may have a couple more of gingernuts later

ducdo · 03/05/2009 20:42

Good luck to everyone with a Monday weigh in ... let's hope for a good result for us all

lilianfox · 03/05/2009 21:21

hi there

yes good luck for weigh in tomorrow.

theothermarypoppins: good on you for your weight loss!

not sure if i will have lost anything this week as i have not been to the gym as dd still ill and not well enough for me to go. she is getting better though and hopefully i will be able to get back to gym tomorrow. find it makes a real difference. I have my period too .

I still haven't done any snacking at all in the evening since i started ff a couple of weeks ago. Before I was just eating throughout each evening and I feel so much better...if not rather hungry right now .

hoping for a better week next week and fingers crossed for tomorrow

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 04/05/2009 08:19

farkin hell...

I've lost 7lbs!!

lilianfox · 04/05/2009 08:38

Wow! theothermarypoppins! That's fantastic you must be pleased. You've inspired me to really go for it again this week.

I have managed to loose a 1lb which is better than nothing! but 7lbs well...

lilianfox · 04/05/2009 08:43

hi again other mary poppins just out of interest what's kcals goal per day? Do you keep to that and then exercise on top etc? just tryin to plan the week ahead dd permitting

ducdo · 04/05/2009 09:09

Excellent weight loss theothermarypoppinsdiets that is great. Well done lilianfox too, I am same as you this week with 1 pound. A little disappointing but atleast its coming off, slowly but surely..

DH been away working all weekend so other than cycling to/from park with kids, not had a run since Thursday and like you say, the exercise makes all the difference I think.

Hope DD is well soon and you can get back into your normal routine. I will be out running tonight too!

reducedfatkettlechip · 04/05/2009 15:46

7lbs loss, wow!!!! Well done MaryPoppins!! I seem to have stuck this week, I've been 10st 10 all week. I've done lots of exercise but also eaten a fair amount of chocolate

Am hoping things will move again this week, I might need to give away our remaining Easter eggs to remove all temptation. I just keep breaking off another little bit of egg shell and I'm sure that's what's scuppering me..

Feel all inspired again now! I have lots of mini targets - 2lb more and I've lost a stone, another pound after that I'm back to pre ds2 weight and another four to be back to pre ds1 weight. Then 3 more and I've hit my FF target..

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 04/05/2009 16:14

Well I am still grinning like a cheshire cat I knew it was going to be at least 4lbs from when I snuck on scales on Saturday, but 7lbs is just wowsers!

Congrats on your losses too, it all counts, I am not naive enough to expect a great loss like that every week, I wish lol, would be at target in 6 weeks

I am on 1628 cals a day and usually get to within 100cals of that and do no exercise bar walking for maybe 30 mins total a day.

Went out for lunch and was struggling big time as the salad I had planned came loaded with creamy coleslaw, mayo, dressing, potato salad, croutons, so I had a plain baked potato with a wee packet of butter on, and all around me people where having carbonara, spag and meatballs, fresh pizzas and the smell of garlic bread was killing me, as was sitting across from DH eating chips, chicken burger and salad smothered in grated cheese and mayo

Was starving so stopped on the way home at tesco and got a mini sushi box which has helped, just hanging on till dinner time, gonna have a cauliflower cheese crispbake, half a pack of supernoodles and a MAHOOOOOOOSIVE salad.
