Hello peeps. I'm back from my weekend in Cambridge and have let the side down in the most spectacular way ever!!!

Weighed myself friday morn and I had lost another lb in the week, weighed myself last night and I'd gained 1.4lb over the weekend - [blish] x 1000!

It started with indian takeaway on friday eve, with copious amounts of beer and wine, followed by a cooked breakfast on Saturday morning, an afternoon of yet more wine, Pizza Express in the eve, marshmallows and biscuits and finished with a chinese takeawy last night

On one hand I feel bad, but on the other I couldn't care less as I had a fab time with DP and his family!

Anyway, its back to the old routine today - salad, fat free yogurt and strawberries!

Not to sure what to do about FF as I didn't have any way to input food over the weekend so nothings been logged.

Shall I just leave it and start entering again from today?

Well Lastorders I wish I had joined your weekend, it sounds fab. Worth it if you had a good weekend and if you get back on track this weekend sure there won't be much damage. I am fantasising at the thought of all that lovely food and drink!

I wouldn't bother entering the food in FF, just start from now your back, can't imagine it makes a huge difference, just make sure you're still tracking your weight loss..

LastOrders · 04/05/2009 21:32

It was brill fun ducdo, punting up the river!

I tried to give it a go as I thought the exercise would help burn off the excess calories I'd had, but unfortunately I done really rubbish so had to sit back down and sup wine watch the labourers!!

You all sound like you've done fantastically.

There has been some serious weight loss since I've been gone-

Well done Ladies. You're all doing FAB!!!

Keep it up...

Marypoppins that's amazing! How long has that taken you?

I've managed on 1500 cals today. I'm finding anything less and I'm getting hungry - I need to find some filling, low fat meals.

My blooming DP is a chef and I am starting to wonder if he may be classed as a 'feeder'.

Cocobear · 04/05/2009 21:58

Hi all -

Haven't weighed in - will do it tomorrow. I did take the long weekend off - I mean I kept it below 2000 cals (goal is 1300) and kept exercising, so maybe I'll have lost a pound?? Here's hoping...

LastOrders I also didn't enter my food over the weekend so I've just started again Monday. It's not that I went nuts with the food, but we ate out a lot, and it's devilish hard to enter some bizarre version of couscous salad that someone else has made. I've got no clue what was in it!

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 04/05/2009 22:48

Lastorders, I don't actually know what happens if you miss a day off logging on FF there, would it all go tits up? Let us know?

Pottycock, that's my first week I am finding having a whacking huge great salad with whatever I am having for dinner is helping, making sure I have protein plus my godsend snacks of kelloggs cereal bars, much nicer and more filling than a special K bar ( and actually lower cal!) and great to keep in your bag for when you are out and about.

I can honestly say past the first 3 days that I'm not getting hungry in between meals. I am on 1628 though which is probably higher than most here (I'm a heifer)

cocobear, good luck for your WI tomorrow.

LastOrders · 04/05/2009 23:03

TOMPD - I'm also on a higher calorie intake then a lot of others : 1943!

But I never reach it. I only ever consume about 1600ish, less on a good day.

I'm going to carry on as normal now and input what I eat and will let you all know what happens if nothing is inputted!!

hi congrats ducdo on your weight loss yesterday. yes it all adds up and we are going in the right direction. Did you go out on your run?

Looking forward to get back to gym maybe today or tomorrow depending on dd.

good luck with weigh in cocobear

lastorders sounds like you had a fantastic weekend. i think when you don't add for a few days the ff just carries on with the next date. I don't think it makes any difference etc

still been managing to stay just around my kcals allowance but i've noticed without exercise and maybe just going over sometimes i won't lose much weight. would really love to shift this 4lbs before i go on holiday on 17th may

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 05/05/2009 09:41

Morning everyone, let's get those weigh ins rolling in

I've logged in what I plan to have today but have almost 500 cals left to play with, not entirely sure how that happened!!

Ellibop · 05/05/2009 13:51

Well I've only lost 1lb this week, which I can't really complain about as that is my target and also I had 2 days at the weekend where I drank too much and then had a few treats aswell.

Feeling a bit fed up today though - being stuck in with this grotty rain doesn't help. Me and DS went swimming this morning though so at least we've been out, just feel like I want to eat a massive bag of Maltesers or something to cheer myself up!

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 05/05/2009 13:58

1lb is good

Look at what that looks like...

www.freewebs.com/noreenblackett/comparison%201lb%20fat1.jpg

I went to Starbucks today for my morning coffee ( black filter) and found a crepe with ham tomato and mushrooms in it for only 150 cals

LastOrders · 05/05/2009 19:49

That's grim! Is that a lb of lard or something?

I've got to go do my pilates DVD and get some dinner.

I'm not really in the mood for twisting and breathing (well, breathing's a bit compulsive but you know what I mean!) so hound me next time I'm on to make sure I've done it!

Ellibop - a lb is good. It's what I only ever manage to get off a week, but it's a whole lot better than putting on!

Slowly but surely

OP posts:
Ellibop · 05/05/2009 20:44

Oh no I've just eaten my own body weight in Maltesers Aaaarrrrggggghhhhh!!!

Actually have now entered it into FF and my total for the day is 1861cals which isn't too horrific after all - will refocus tomorrow (I promise!)

Thanks for gross pic of 1lb of fat, I guess it's more than you think really. And when I think about it rationally I only want to lose a total of 7lbs so realistically I'm not going to lose more than 1lb a week anyway.

Am off to watch a prog about Clare from Steps and her drastic weight loss

LastOrders · 05/05/2009 20:51

I think we'll all be watching that tonight Ellibop!

BaByRaZ · 05/05/2009 21:29

wow this is a cool site, so would you say it really helps...

reducedfatkettlechip · 05/05/2009 22:07

yes it does help, give it a go and see!

I've done a load of exercise today to try and get off this weight I'm stuck on. If I haven't lost at least a pound by Friday I will sob.

Just been invited to a work reunion around my target date. What an incentive to get back into something slinky for a night out. Am super determined now, have 600 cals spare today after exercising, even after consuming a fair chunk of Easter egg (when will they ever go?!!) Had a Tesco light veggie lasagne for dinner, which was pretty tasteless but only 315 cals.

LastOrders · 05/05/2009 22:50

Go for it reducedfatkettlechip!

Mahoosive incentive to get to that target weight!

I've just purchased a pair of trainers (Reebok ) to do my exercises in and may partake in some power walking - !

BaByRaZ - Give it a go, it's working for us lot but you can't do it on diet alone! You need to exercise too. It's great, but I had a mass cock up this weekend so must redeem now

OP posts:
TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 06/05/2009 07:51

I'm not exercising I simply haven't the inclination time.

Babyraz, give it a go, it's really helped me keep on track.

I have an event planned near my target date well 2months before, but seeing as my target date is SOOOOOOO far away ( Feb 2010! ) I shold imagine there will be a marked enough difference for people to go WOW!

ducdo · 06/05/2009 08:53

I missed that program about Claire from Steps losing her weight and was going to watch it (was on other channel watching McCanns interview with Oprah and my problems about weight loss went straight out the window).

Ellibop what channel was it on and I will see if they repeat it.. Thank you

Ellibop · 06/05/2009 10:10

It was on BBC3 so you can watch it on iplayer, it was really good.

I feel more determined today after my Maltesers disaster yesterday I'm due on at the weekend though so am blaming that for my newly increased appetite and overwhelming desire for chocolate.

I wish my Wii would hurry up and arrive I want to get started with My Fitness Coach, I thought it would have arrived yesterday...Might do a dvd this morning as DS is just settling down for a sleep.

CatsBumFace · 06/05/2009 13:53

another 2 lbs for me this week. i am not reallydoing the ff thing everyday just now and again when i need to recalibrate!

elibop stepa away from the maltesers their lightness is a cruel trick to make you eat more.

Cocobear · 06/05/2009 16:32

Okay, this morning I stepped on the digi scales for a weigh-in, and was v depressed to see I'd gained two pounds. This after sticking pretty carefully to the calorie limits and running at least 4K 6 days a week. Wierd thing is, I do feel I look better, and clothes seem to fit a bit better. DH said I'm looking fitter, don't be discouraged.

So then I step on scale at midday, and I've LOST two pounds over last week.

WHAT GIVES???

TheGoat · 06/05/2009 16:35

that is weird cocobear - had you had breakfast before you weighed yourself?

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 06/05/2009 16:39

cocobear, don't forget muscle weighs more than fat plus when you exercise every day (apparently) your body will hold water to help repair the muscles - which will give impression of a gain although it's not a true gain iyswim? which is why it's recommended to do it alternate days to have time to recover. As told to me by the gym...

Also only weigh once a day week at the same time every time as it doesn't give a true picture. What time do you normally WI at?

CBF - well done love your name, I know a fair few people who fit that description

TheGoat · 06/05/2009 16:41

thanks (i am cbf!)

my digital scales are fairly unreliable unless they are on a dead flat surface.
