Ta da!!!

Here it is, Ladies. It feels safer in one little spot!!

I'm not brave enough to put my vitals up yet, will wait for a few new posters to come along and throw me words of encouragement!

kettlechip - back to you.....

AquarianmMum - I didn't mean to scare
you off, I was only joking on my last post. Come back!!!

I weighed myself this morn - I've only lost a pound
I'm hoping it has something to do with time of the month at the mo. Double

I'm being naughty and having a glass of wine as I've been at work all day. Feeling the guilt now, and also the lack of decent fodder in me to soak it up - I'm feeling tipsy!!

Anyway, I won the auction for the skipping rope on ebay so that's me bouncing away for the next few weeks!

Well done, Ladies.

You're all doing so well (better then me and my glass of rose!)

Ellibop - I also find the exercising the worst part. Mainly due to lack of time to fit it in.

I've got a Davina keep fit DVD but can never be arsed once I get DS to bed.

All these other posters seem to be wellllll fit - it puts me to shame!

yes, my calories have nearly run out today too, and dh is drinking lovely cold white wine on our verandah . I am having salmon and roasted veg (roasted in fry light) for supper which is fairly low in calories I think. I could do with there being meal suggestions on the website.

my mistake was having a pret cappuccino earlier on - full fat. What a waste of calories!

have just done some housework which might give me some leeway!

foxinsocks · 25/04/2009 18:47

I keep seeing this thread and thinking it's a Ford Focus appreciation thread

reducedfatkettlechip · 25/04/2009 19:28

We do have a Ford Focus actually..

LastOrders, I think the first week of exercise is by far the hardest. Once you break the pain barrier you actually start to want to do the exercise. Never thought I would say that.

I like the Davina 3 30 min workouts, they're a good workout without being too much, maybe a good one to start with if you have it. Go on, go on!!

LastOrders · 25/04/2009 20:29

Ooooo, I may crack open the Davina dvd tonight then! Give it a 30 min sesh, something for the weekend and all that!

Yet again enough calories spare for two small glasses of wine. Mmmmmm

Eggs for breakfast seems to be the thing that keeps me from being hungry all day.

lilianfox · 26/04/2009 08:38

hi there

thanks for your ideas on meals/snacks etc

i have been managing to have some protein with each meal but def gonna try having some eggs for breakfast.

changednam i was also 8.0 once that was pre-pre preg weight though . just before i got pregnant with dd i had krept up to 8.12 as i was finding that to maintain being at 8 or 8.5 i wasn't able to eat that many cals. i think i need to get more variation into my diet though so gonna work on that.

you are active as well though with exercise etc. doesn't sound as if you will be long to reach your goal. i just noticed my goal cals per day have been reduced to 1113!but my goal date brought forward to 13 may which is good as we are due to go on hols on 16.

ducdo good on you for avoiding snacks at the party! looking forward to weigh in tomorrow

changednam · 26/04/2009 09:52

I fell off the wagon big time last night - friends around for a meal, wine, cheesecake brought by friend which was I couldn't resist after the wine and then down the pub for a cocktail.

Oh dear! At least I can see the exact damage - I need to burn off 813 calories extra...here comes the cross-trainer!

LastOrders · 26/04/2009 10:13

low calorie meal ideas

I've not had a good look at the site but there maybe some ideas on there?

I would look but I've got a 5 year old hanging off my hip desperate to go out for a bike ride, which can only be a good thing!

OP posts:
leothelioness · 26/04/2009 10:49

Great going all of you! I find fitting in exercise hard too. I did climb alot of stair though how many calories do you recon going up and down 18 flights of stairs counts as?
I was hosting a dinner party last night and then have been eating left over today and I think I must have doubled my allowance of 1123 cals yesterday

ducdo · 26/04/2009 12:02

Still doing great all of you, I am hugely motivated which is great and started today with a 4.5 mile run in the sunshine which was lovely and took around 45 mins so got some extra cals for my effort.

Snacking on lots of fruit and veg which is great and I feel really good .. definitely getting easier to avoid the high fat foods.

Lilianfox .. bit nervous about tomorrows weigh in, haven't been on the scales all week so really hoping my hard work has paid off. Good luck to us both x

Cocobear · 26/04/2009 13:00

Went out to a huge buffet with friends last night and managed to have only beans and rice (shocking change of pace) and salad and a fried banana. Which I logged as banana chips for lack of a 'fried banana' entry on FF.

Even resisted mango juice and the entire dessert section!

Just watched marathon on tv - inspired by that and all of you to go to gym.

Ellibop - also finding 1300 a very strict limit. I find the only way i can do it is with a good amount of low-fat carbs and enough exercise to buy myself another 300 or 400 calories/day!

Lilianfox - how did you wind up with a lower value per day??? That's evil.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 26/04/2009 16:47

My limit is also 1300 calories a day, well 1343. I do find it hard to stick to without exercising as well. I just worry tha the website may over estimate the calories I burn doing exercise so I try not to go all the way up to my calorie total inc exercise.

Everyone at work had bacon butties mid morning and I resisted. I also resisted the banana cake that was going round last night at work.

I've been snacking on kiwi fruit - only 14 calories.

Ellibop · 26/04/2009 19:19

Went out for a pub lunch today and had burger and chips!!! But that's all I've eaten today (apart from a fruit smoothie this morning) and i forced myself out for a run this evening...I only managed 10 minutes but will hopefully improve gradually - not quite ready for the marathon!

Weighed myself this morning and I've lost 1lb which is my weekly target so pleased to see some benefit for all my effort.

ducdo · 26/04/2009 19:34

Well done Ellibop that's great to lose a pound .. you're obviously keeping on track, even after burger and chips at the pub. Hopefully I will get the same results when I weigh in tomorrow morning :O) fingers crossed.

reducedfatkettlechip · 26/04/2009 20:16

hi everyone, feel like I've eaten loads today, had a roast lunch at the IL's (veggie version) with roast potatoes. Fortunately MIL is on a diet so dessert was Weight Watchers chocolate mousse! Made up for all that by baking bread and making some veg soup for dinner. Plus a 2.2 mile run round a hilly circuit which almost finished me off..

Got beeped at 3 times tonight while out running. Am thinking they are either in the marathon spirit or beeping in sympathy as I wobble along. Am hoping one day they will be appreciating my beautifully toned bum instead

Good luck with the weigh ins tomorrow. Target date now 16th June - hoping for 1-2lbs off by next weekend. Going to do the Charlie Brooks workout tomorrow, that is giving me thighs of steel!

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 26/04/2009 22:08

Well done on the run Kettlechip - thats really good. I've just got back from badminton and feel like I've done something!

LastOrders · 26/04/2009 22:58

I got DS on the tag-a-long bike this morn and we went out for a bike ride, and then for a walk on the New Forest this afto.

Still, not qutie enough exercise to excuse the clotted cream ice cream I had after walk .

I could hardly say no! Everyone else was having one, I didn't want to feel left out

Today was by far the worst day I've had for food since I started, but tomorrows another day, and it's cycling to school each day this week, so that should help a bit....

OP posts:
lilianfox · 27/04/2009 01:51

hi

lastorders oh god that clotted cream icecream sounds gorgeous! It's late and as i read that i could just imagine eating it! . i'll have a look at your link in a mo.

had a bit of a wobbly day too... as i left having lunch abit too long and got ravenously hungry and ended up eating more than i'd planned but it wasn't anything major...slice of ham, piece of french stick and a poached egg! It may not sound like much but when you have a low cals allowance every little bit counts iykwim.

But managed to get it back in the eve at gym which is good as if this had happened previously I may well have gone all out for it and ate everything in sight!

cocobear i think the no of cals you can have per day reduces as you lose weight. Well that's what i could make out of it anyway.

reducedfatkettlechip: i had a grin when i read your post. i'm sure you were probably getting 'beeped up caus they were admiring your physique! LOL i love it when that happens...although...it's years since that happened to me...prob when I was a teenager! should go running but my knees aren't good so i'm confined to the gym. I do enjoy it though as I have a bit of time to myself and can watch mtv etc

ducdo yes fingers crossed for tomorrow i think caus i lost quite abit last week may have slowed down. we'll see

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 27/04/2009 08:21

I've lost a pound! Woo hoo. . Only a pound but hopefully the first of many.

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/04/2009 08:25

ok here I am joining you, my first day

I really like how user friendly Food Focus is and having pretty much failed at everything else I thought maybe calorie counting was the way to go.

lilianfox · 27/04/2009 08:55

goodmorning

welcome theothermaypoppinsdiet

congratulations stripeyknickerspottysocks on your weight loss! It's great.

well got through the weekend reasonably unscathed. Just weighed in at 9.5stone though that's a 3 lbs loss since last monday! Altogether 6lbs loss so I'm very happy.

Just have to keep it up as i don't want to reach a plateau but i suppose that could happen. Still feel really determined though for first time in ages. Hooray for foodfocus!

Goodluck to others weighing in today too x

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 27/04/2009 09:11

Wow 6lbs overall is very good - are your clothes feeling looser now?

wannaBe · 27/04/2009 09:19

have lost three lbs this week. And can already feel the difference because of the amount of exercise im doing.

Bought a skipping rope yesterday (well it's called a speed rope but same principle) to add to my exercise. although can't really go outside atm as it's raining.
