Well done for all your hard work and dedication Ducdo

I just weighed in and the 1lb loss that I have had all week has disappeared and left me at no loss! mind you I did lose 7 last week so maybe my body is in shock lol

Will have to be extra focussed this week as no loss to inspire and encourage me.

Lucifera · 11/05/2009 09:33

Well done to all who have lost - and to all who have managed to stick with it and not get discouraged even if horrible scales are stuck ...
I really only get exercise at weekends, and am amazed at how many cals are used up gardening! Downside is that after 2.5 hours on Sunday trying to grub up a laurel with a root like a tree trunk, I was so hungry I had to make a fry-up for lunch instead of the healthy salad I'd planned (which I thought might take more energy to eat than it would provide)...
Note to LastOrders above: yes if I eat less over a period of time I definitely want less.

Ellibop · 11/05/2009 09:52

Hello everyone, well done again ladies. I'm v v pleased as scales show a 2lb loss this week, I'm as haven't been totally good this week.

Have finally got my wii Fitness Coach set up, had my first session yesterday and it's really good so am hoping to boost my exercise now.

Keep going everyone

lilianfox · 11/05/2009 10:17

hi there

that's fantastic ducdo! It's so motivating when you see the weight coming off. Particularly after all the hard work. what is your target again?

Theothermarypoppinsdiets you might find that you get that loss back later in the week and you might drop even more. sometimes after a big loss like you say there can be a plateau.

I weighed in this am after having my first major binge last night! I messed up as yesterday I had eaten all of my calorie allowance and a little bit more by lunch time.

I wasn't able to go to gym and I was then starving in the evening and didn't eat anything until about 11pm when I went wild! I was rather like my daughter's hungry caterpillar and ate through one apple pie with clotted cream, a mini toffee cheese cake, about 10 crackers and cheese. Probably about a days calorie allowance? Anyway...it's the first time it's happened and I don't want it to happen again. So I'm gonna hit the gym tonight and make sure I spread my calories out over the whole day.

Anyway...I nearly missed weigh in but thought I would do it anyway and I came in at 9.1. That means since last week I have lost total of 3lbs and a total now of 10lbs. However, that does include last week when i had gastric flu and was quite ill and went down to 8.13. So not bad really as i have only regained 2lbs of that and I think some of that's water. I understand you have to eat (an extra) approx 3,500 cals to gain a real pound in weight.

my initial goal was 9 stone but i'm off on holiday on sunday for a month so i've almost achieved the goal. just got to make sure i keep it of while i'm away. I would like to get down to my pre-preg weight which was about 8.7. We'll see.

Ducdo how many cals in an icecream?

pottycock · 11/05/2009 10:20

Just diving in vvv quickly to recommend pink grapefruit to everyone - takes ages to eat, tastes nice AND only about 60 cals!!

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 11/05/2009 10:42

well done on the losses Ellibop, Lillianfox

Pottycock, I love grapefruit as does hubby but can't have it as not fair on him he can't take it with meds he is on

Can I ask how people are managing eating out please ( assuming you still keep track if you do!!)

ducdo · 11/05/2009 10:44

well done everyone, all doing really well.

lilianfox my ice cream was 201 cals, I put it down as a walls cornetto with cone, even though it was a 99 from the ice cream seller (without flake I might add!) but god knows how many cals the ice cream man ones are?!

LastOrders · 11/05/2009 12:03

I can get into my nice pants again without them cutting in to my flab hips!

But I seem to be losing the weight mainly from my boobs, much to DPs annoyance

LastOrders · 11/05/2009 12:05

Ooo, and well done on the losses, guys!

And don't fret TOMPD (what does that name mean!?) 7lb last week was fantastic, so not to much of a that you didn't lose this week....

OP posts:
TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 11/05/2009 12:10

TOMPD - theothermarypoppinsdiets lol

I wish I could lose from my boobs - lost 3 stone previously and not a bean from the girlies - in fact thye looked even bigger as my tummy had flattened so made them appear to stick out even more (f cup)

LastOrders · 11/05/2009 12:21

But I don't want to lose my boobs!!!

I love my boobs! (DD cup)

I know what TOMPD stands for, but what does TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets
mean!!?? I'm just intreiged (sp) by other peoples nicknames!

OP posts:
TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 11/05/2009 18:39

oh sorry blonde moment...

Well I wanted MaryPoppins as I am in childcare but it was taken, hence, theothermarypoppins... and then whacked diets on the end. Usually change the last word to reflect seasonality, like at Xmas I had Jingles and while Strictly was on I had Fleckles...

Had a good day although I had a curly wurly and two cadbury snack wafers but still am under, probably not wise to eat so much chocolate though as might get a taste for it!
Frozen ready meal of beef stew with extra veg for dinner tonight.

reducedfatkettlechip · 11/05/2009 20:12

Well done ducdo, you are exactly where I need to be!! Ran another 4 miles yesterday and have had a big salad for dinner tonight so praying for a pound or two off this week.

I feel so much better for doing this, and it's lovely to have the company too!

LastOrders · 11/05/2009 21:08

I see, TOMPD!!

I've had a really rubbish day

I've picked at rubbish all day - mini pastie, choc biscuit, just had a sausage I cooked for DSs sandwich tommorrow

I've been rubbish at entering my eats into FF and it seems to be my downfall.

Need to get back into the swing of it, as it was going well (still is, its only one day of crapness- but one day is all it takes)

Boo hoo....

OP posts:
TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 11/05/2009 21:51

come on Lastorders, you can do this, make a fresh start for the fresh week and start by entering your food in , whatever it is you are eating!

chip yes it is nice having people to bounce off about all this

kingprawntikka · 12/05/2009 08:25

Rubbish day here too LastOrders - an ice cream, a chicken pastie, pavlova , crisps and chocolate.!!. Must try harder!

Ellibop · 12/05/2009 09:43

Try not to stress too much about eating the odd rubbish thing - I seem to generally have a few crappy things at the weekend but usually when I enter them in they're not always as bad as I thought and if you can manage a bit of exercise you can un-do the crapness a bit...Although yesterday whilst out with DS I had a hot chocolate made with semi-skimmed milk with no whipped cream of flake or anything and when I looked on FF it came up with 280 cals!!! Seemed a bit steep to me and ate into most of my unch cals.

Thanks to whoever it was who recommended Cocopops bars, they're really nice and only about 82 cals

pottycock · 12/05/2009 09:46

I ate crisps for breakfast yesterday.

Ellibop · 12/05/2009 09:51

Hee hee Pottycock, were they the new Builder's Breakfast flavour from Walkers?

The good thing I find about FF though is that you can start afresh the next day with a lovely empty food log

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 12/05/2009 10:04

I've lost another 1lb when I weighed myself yesterday so thats 4lbs since I staretd 3 weeks ago. Am happy enough with that.

I went for a 3 mile run yesterday and again this morning. Its definetly making me exercise more so that I'm allowed mroe calories!

One question - I sometimes do 30mins of "step" on my Wii Fit - do you think this counts as high impact aerobics or would it be low impact? Thanks.

reducedfatkettlechip · 12/05/2009 13:47

I count the Wii Fit step as normal aerobics I think, the one which comes up by default. Although I wonder if it should be low impact. I do it on the highest speed though and do feel sweaty after 30 mins of it.. (nice!)

pottycock · 12/05/2009 16:08

hmmmmmmm........293 calories left for dinner..what shall i have?

I am in awe of you runners. I'd love to get back out there, rocky style but not a lot of time at the moment as dp is working late often.

LastOrders · 12/05/2009 16:54

I'd love to run, but not to sure if I've got it in me!

I bought some Reebok light running shoes off of Amazon, but still waiting for them to arrive. They were dispatched a week ago....

I'm going to start with some fast walking first. Get that butt wiggling down the high street!!

OP posts:
TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 12/05/2009 17:09

ah bollocks

Just had two slices of bread and 4 yes 4! packets of Scottish Slimmer cookies at 119 each pack.

Feel sick now too.

Just as well I am on training tonight till 9.30pm or I think I would be just sat here munching.

with myself, I managed to not go ott when out at the weekend, and to not cave under the pressure eating out weekend before...

ARGH!

Looking forward to tomorrow and that nice clean food log.

pottycock · 12/05/2009 19:23

I am having a grapefruit for tea as I scoffed dd's macaroni when she wouldn't eat it. I am a glutton at heart so this is quite hard for me!

Good on you LastOrders - when are they due to arrive? Let me know when you're doing your first fast walk jog and I may join you if I can relieve myself of my little lass.
