Ta da!!!

Here it is, Ladies. It feels safer in one little spot!!

I'm not brave enough to put my vitals up yet, will wait for a few new posters to come along and throw me words of encouragement!

I'm half way through the big glass of wine. Then I'm off to clean my bathroom - distract distract distract!!

I'm (fingers crossed) back to college in Sept, so not a bad thing. I can study full time now, rather that part time

oh fuck, I'm sorry LastOrders. If you go off track with your diet now though you'll only feel even worse in the long run

LastOrders · 07/05/2009 20:17

I'm definately not going to go off track! Undo all my good work for the sake of being made redundant? I don't think so!

More time on my hands to get this weight off now!

I just missed out on an ebay auction for an Airwalker. Anyone got any experience of them?

OP posts:
reducedfatkettlechip · 07/05/2009 20:59

No, sorry LastOrders, so far my habit is fairly cheap, it hasn't extended to exercise equipment yet.. watching with interest though for a new bandwagon to jump on!!

I have just tried My Fitness Coach for Wii, looks like it will be really good. Even setting the thing up has left me knackered, you have to see how many squats, crunches and press ups you can do so it can analyse your fitness at the moment..

pottycock · 07/05/2009 21:06

This diet has made me realise I hardly eat any fruit or veg.

I had quite fooled myself into thinkng I was a healthy eater - my dashboard shows a tiny little bit of protein sandwiched in between a think stripe of carbs and an equally think slice of fat.

LastOrders · 07/05/2009 21:53

kettlechip - I emailed the seller and managed to get a private sell on one these babies! for £15.

Need exercise to do whilst watching TV!

Will let you know what it's like... pick it up on saturday.

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 07/05/2009 22:13

Pottycock, I eat plenty of vegetables but am steering away from fruit as the calories in them are super scary!!

pottycock · 07/05/2009 22:14

I ate celery for lunch today in shame

LastOrders · 07/05/2009 22:50

WHAT!!!!

But I eat loads of fruit, and now you're saying I can't because they're crammed full of calories!?

But what am I going to snack on now.... !

Hi there

had a better day today & not feeling as sick. Still been keeping to my 1101 cals a day while I'm not feeling up to going to the gym.

sorry to hear your news lastorders. Hope it all works out ok for you.

Pottycock what I am amazed by is that even fruit and veg seem to have fat in them? I haven't got an example of the top of my head but I have been quite surprised a few time. Can
anyone explain this?

lilianfox · 07/05/2009 23:34

have a look at braeburn apple and leeks for example. However, prob the same with any fruit or veg? I always thought there was no fat in them? I'm missing something

leothelioness · 08/05/2009 07:52

so sorry about your redundancy lastorders.

lillianfox unfortunately most thing seem to have atleast some fat in it but i think veg is usuall less than fruit but we all need 'good' fat in our diet anyway.

pottycock · 08/05/2009 07:54

It is confusing - jam lists as mainly carb and I thought that would be super fatty

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 08/05/2009 08:00

Jam is all sugar though isn't it.

Check out some fruits on there it's actually scary how many cals are them ( natural sugars?)
I love bananas but at 200 cals for one, sod off, not wasting it on that!! I could have 4 fromage frais for that or 2 and a half coco pops rocks bars ( and did I mention these are EXTREMELY chocolatey???)

Just had 60g coco pops (sensing a theme??) which surprisingly are the same cals as cheerios/rice krispies et al, planning crackers and cheeese and salad for lunch and tonight is sweet and sour chicken with rice.

kingprawntikka · 08/05/2009 08:55

LastOrders_- really sorry to hear your redundancy news.
TheOtherMary- i do't think there are 200 cals in a banana, I have been weighing mine and putting the weight into food focus and they have been about 75-85 cals. unless you have much bigger bananas than me !!

ReligiousBiscuit · 08/05/2009 08:57

lastorders sorry to hear your news (it is gost here btw).

ducdo · 08/05/2009 09:41

morning all, lastorders as mentioned by the others, sorry to hear your use, I agree with other comments to turn this into positive and sounds like you can if you can devote more time to study.

Well I blew 1200 cals on a delicious pizza last night and glass of rose in celebration of my hubby being succesful in new job interview. Went for a run to compensate for ridiculous cal intake and ended day only 130 cals over allowance, so not toooo bad!

back on track today though as determined to shift another pound for Monday's weigh in.

leothelioness · 08/05/2009 09:55

banana
mango
avacados
etc ate high calorie (but still dont think banbnas are 200 cals) but generally more juicy fruit like
watermelon
oranges
strawberries etc are less calories for the weight of the fruit.
please correct me if I am wrong but generally the higher the water content of fruit or veg the less calories they are.

Hello, can I join you?
I have had a look at the food Focus site and I think I would like to give it a go but will probably need some help from you lovely lot.
Have read thread and you all seem so supportive of each other.

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 08/05/2009 10:23

I also wanted to ask, is there a way of adding drinks onto the food focus site? I had a few glasses of wine last night and I think the calories should be logged?

LastOrders · 08/05/2009 12:20

Someone mentioned earlier that the foods are a bit out on FF, I've entered loads of foods and they're a good 20/30 cals out sometimes.

It really pays to weigh things and enter the exact weight, and to also enter things manually and store then.

I haven't entered food this week, I've been a bit lapse since coming back from our weekend away, but need to get back intp entering things.

I just find it so time consuming hunting for food and things.

But I'm still eating healthily and hopeful my new buy, the airwalker, will help me get back into the stride of things.

Welcome to ByThePowerOfGreyskull. Of course you can join us! We are a lovely lot, & very supportive!

If you want to add drinks, I find the best thing to do is to search what it is, for example rose wine, and it will give you a list. Choose the unbranded item and when you enter in the quantity add a few more mls. So if you had 50mls, enter 65mls.

This is what I do, because it won't give you an exact cal amount, so you're allowing some leeway (sp?) for the naughtyness you've indulged in! Does that make sense? Nope, not at all....!

Lucifera · 08/05/2009 13:28

Welcome Greyskull! Good luck with whatever you want to lose.
LastOrders, I'm v impressed by your diligence in making sure you don't cheat on calories!

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 08/05/2009 16:36

Hi Greyskull welcome aboard and good luck

Lastorders twas me saying about the cals difference, would be very handy if there was a way to report any changes on Food Focus but I can't see?

LastOrders · 08/05/2009 17:35

Lucifera - I cheat, believe me!!

TOMPD - Shh, don't contact the FF peeps, they may see the following of adorning fans and decide to start charging!!

So, who's on a Saturday weigh in? It's our turn tomorrow. Wish us luck, girls. But I'm really not counting on having lost anything this week! In fact, I reckon I've gained
