Food diary - care to join me?

wastingmyeducation · 22/03/2009 16:16

In the past I've done various diets, tried all sorts really, but I haven't stuck with anything for more than a couple of weeks in a long time.

I am bored of diets!

I am going to keep a food diary here. Hopefully it will help me see where I am going wrong, and by holding up a mirror to my eating habits, publicly, I will start to eat less/better.

I will be starting tomorrow, but thought I'd give you a heads up if you'd like to join me.

Hi Wasting , haven't been doing too well this week as it was my birthday and so have been surrounded by choccies and cake and tempting things!!However I have not lost the will to try harder and I will be back with renewed vigour this week. I am going to try and add some exercise to my routine too.
Hope you don't miss your custard too much , you do seem quite fond of it!!. If you are going to give up custard I will give up chocolate to give you some moral support.
I agree that writing it all down does help to see exactly what we eat. Would be nice if we could encourage each other along a bit as well as listing what we eat . Shout at me if I mention chocolate please!!

kingprawntikka · 06/04/2009 19:35

Ok today I made an effort and did 40 mins of an exercise dvd when I got up.
Breakfast - one slice fruit loaf and jam
Lunch - 2 ryvita with cheese spread and a sesame seed bar, OJ
Dinner-pasta in tomato sauce, chicken , fruit crumble and cream
Snacks -handful peanuts, handful liquorice torpedoes.
How is custard free living coming along Wasting!?

wastingmyeasternameopportunity · 07/04/2009 21:31

Ooh, didn't realised I'd got so behind!
I'm not doing too well on the custard avoidance! But I've done some proper cooking which feels good.

Sunday -
Breakfast - toast and marmalade
Lunch - Sunday dinner, jam sponge and custard
Dinner - bacon sandwich

Monday -
Breakfast - weetabix, toast and marmalade, oj
Lunch - beans on toast
Dinner - Sausages, yorkshire pudding, broccoli, cauliflower cheese, custard

Tuesday -
Breakfast - weetabix
Lunch - Fish pie, chips and peas
Snack - cream cake
Dinner - omelette, custard

That's still custard every day! Well only once a day, at least!

kingprawntikka · 08/04/2009 07:45

Tuesday
Breakfast -special k AND oj
Lunch- went to Nandos, Had chicken and potato mash( no chips!!)
Dinner- soup and 2 slices brown bread

Snacks -4 sticks of liquorice, peanuts and chocolate.

wastingmyeasternameopportunity · 08/04/2009 09:21

Breakfast - Weetabix, fruit juice, coffee

I've reduced breakfast down to just the one course!
DS is only having four feeds a day now, and I'm not as hungry all the time, which is fab. AF started in earnest yesterday too, and I feel lighter today.

What type of chocolate is it kingprawn?
I'm going to get some dark, dark chocolate in, as it's healthier and I only eat a few squares as the flavour is so strong. Need to build treats in I think.

kingprawntikka · 08/04/2009 09:39

Well yesterday it was a white chocolate square with a birthday cake in pink chocolate on it, but usually it would be milk or dark. Rather fond of maya gold. I forgot I had that bit of birthday chocolate left and of course once i found it it kept calling to me til I ate it !! You are right though dark chocolate is better for us.
I have just done my exercise DVD for 40 mins and its a lovely day here in Yorkshire so I plan on a walk to the shops later. That should work off the chocolate.
