Food diary - care to join me?

wastingmyeducation · 22/03/2009 16:16

In the past I've done various diets, tried all sorts really, but I haven't stuck with anything for more than a couple of weeks in a long time.

I am bored of diets!

I am going to keep a food diary here. Hopefully it will help me see where I am going wrong, and by holding up a mirror to my eating habits, publicly, I will start to eat less/better.

I will be starting tomorrow, but thought I'd give you a heads up if you'd like to join me.

luckylady74 · 24/03/2009 14:52

Don't think you're being a piggy seashells, but what are your portion sizes like because I think that's where I fall down. If we have oven chips I eat my small portion and then finish 3 children's portions too

Had lentil and veg soup with 2 small wholemeal rolls, 1/2 a low fat yoghurt and grapesplus a diet coke.

kingprawntikka · 24/03/2009 15:47

10 am finished my floral gums - only the 1/4 packet left from last night

12.15 sushi and herb tea

3.45 a banana and handful of nuts . herb tea

kingprawntikka · 24/03/2009 16:33

oh yes and piece of victoria sandwich, but it was very small honestly!

CarrotBaton · 24/03/2009 16:43

can I join?
b'fast: 2 slices seed bread with butter.
lunch: chicken salad wrap, flapjack.
supper: will be aubergine pilaf, green salad.
Was doing really well yesterday till late evening when I demolished half a bar of G&B

MaggsS · 24/03/2009 16:53

Don't mention G&B

wastingmyeducation · 24/03/2009 20:56

G&B is medicinal surely?!

1 small white chocolate bear and a cup of tea at SILs about 4pm.
Jam sandwich when we got in.
Pasta in meditterranean vegetable sauce and custard.

And I've just had a bowl of cereal for supper as still hungry.

Think I may have tried to cut portion size too radically, as I've been hungry and headachey all day, and ended up grabbling stupid snacks.

Luckylady I have to admit I did rather more than just a few oven chips, but filling myself up at home meant that I didn't over eat on fried foods at work, though I didn't just have a mini fillet burger, I had a chicken wrap with loads of salad instead.

Lunch; home made cheese and broccoli quiche with salad and a lowfat yoghurt and some fruit

Snack before work; I really enjoyed my dried fruit yesterday so I'll have that again

Hi all,
I had 2 banana sandwiches at bed time last night which was a bit odd of me!

Gone off the rails today and eaten random crap - had a coil fitted and felt sorry for myself. Emotional eating is a big one for me - very happy, excited, in pain, sad - my fridge seems to be the default setting for all of these.
So if I can remember-
2 slices wm toast, milk,coffee
muesli, banana, raisins, yoghurt
cheese chunk
biscuit
soup and bread and strawberries
3 scones and milk
cheese omlette, chips,salad and peas
icecream

saw on the doctors computer that I am the same weight now as when I was last weighed - when I was 6 mths pregnant with ds1
Must hang onto the fact that I've lost a stone already!

wastingmyeducation · 25/03/2009 21:20

4.30 - half a toasted teacake
6pm- Chilli and rice. Chocolate eclair.
