Ceebee74 · 27/02/2009 08:36

Missnat and Five welcome back and a huge well done to you both

Dozy great news on losing 3lbs - now can you send me some losing vibes aswell??

I had a sneaky peek this morning (weigh-in is tomorrow) and I have still not lost any - in fact I have apparently put a pound on I know I keep asking this but how how how??? I am definitely sticking within my calorie limit - I am obviously doing something wrong somewhere

Anyway, doing a Bodypump class this morning with 30 minutes on the treadmill beforehand - walking of course

LadyBuzz · 27/02/2009 09:31

Well done Dozy i'm hoping to hit the stone this week too.
Had a sneaky peek on Wed and it looks like I might have lost but need to wait until Sunday.
I'm planning on being very drunk tonight so i'm guesing that won't help

Dozymare · 27/02/2009 10:20

very drunk is good ladybuzz my weigh in is a Friday, and 2 weeks ago i went ou on the thursday without dinner, got v.drunk (and threw up ) and lost 4lbs!!!!!

(although the following week I put on 3lbs so a lot I suspect was dehydration!) Still, felt good though!

Where are you off out to tonight???

OP posts:
LadyBuzz · 27/02/2009 12:15

Not out, girlies are coming round with lots of pink wine and nice food to cheer me up!
I think the wine will work

JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 27/02/2009 12:33

ladybuzz enjoy your night! I wish I could do that but all my friends are pregnant!!!!

Just had that sneaky peek, and I;m still the same, well it has only been 2 days!

My new running shoes came today and OMG HOW AMAZING! It felt 100 times better running along that tow path!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/02/2009 12:34

Where did you get your running shoes?

LadyBuzz · 27/02/2009 12:47

I have the utmost respect for anyone that runs . Glad you like your new shoes!

JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 27/02/2009 12:54

I got them from LittleWoods, there is 20% off sports shoes until 1st March, they are Asics ones. I love them!

Dozymare · 27/02/2009 14:04

Jodie ASICS rock...how did you know whether to get ones for how you actually run IYSWIM? I had mine fitted and I run on the outside of my feet (if that makes sense] i do need some new ones though, can you please do me a link>??????? Pretty please

OP posts:
JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 27/02/2009 14:26

These ones

I didn't get measured as I've only just started running (this is my second week) and I don't want to go spending any extra money on something that may or may not bear fruit IYKWIM. So I thought I'd just get a nice 'bouncy' pair to save my poor knees to start with and see how we get on!

mileniwmffalcon · 27/02/2009 15:03

i've got asics too they're luvverly. you're lucky you got some that fit, i had to go up half a size (more than that in some other brands i tried).

i think dozy's talking about how different shoes are designed to accommodate the way your foot rolls when you hit the ground. i've got neutral shoes as they don't roll more one way or the other, i think most people overpronate and the way dozy's feet go is the most unusual of the lot (and i'm guessing expensive when it comes to shoes!)

its worth bearing in mind that wearing the wrong shoes might contribute towards aches and pains or even injury, so maybe check out what type of shoes you have and look up online how you can check your own running style (you can get some idea from e.g. a wet footprint or the wear patterns on your current shoes).

i think i'm getting a bit hooked tbh - i keep thinking about running even on my non-running days. was wistfully watching all the seriously fit runners in the park today and dreaming about when i make it look as easy as that!

JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 27/02/2009 15:10

mil How funny you should say that, I had a non-running/gym day on Monday, and it was all I could think about! If DH hadn't gone out I might have gone for a run anyway! And I Don't like running!!

mileniwmffalcon · 27/02/2009 15:14

lol i can't say i exactly enjoy it at the time either, but i think endorphins must be like nicotine, you're just craving inbetween times and the run soothes it (temporarily).

Dozymare · 27/02/2009 19:26

Endorphins are the new nicotine I like that as an ex 20 a dayer!!!!

OP posts:
Ceebee74 · 27/02/2009 20:27

Lol at craving endorphins - I definitely do! When I stopped BA at 7 months pg I definitely missed it!

They are starting a BC class at my gym on a Monday morning in a few weeks - Mondays is one of the days that DH tends to work from home so I have half a chance of going but not sure if I would like it. Am going to have a look on Youtube to see what it is like - I feel really awkward and self-conscious doing the combat moves on the Claire Richards DVD so I am not sure it is 'me' iyswim!

Dozymare · 27/02/2009 20:44

ceebee are you sure that burning off in excess of 800+ cals can't tempt you That is my motivation!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, it takes a while to get the basic moves, but once you do, they never change. Plus, I bet you gym will do a taster class as it is new to go over the moves. Our gym has a technique class 15mins prior to the main one......

Ceebee74 · 28/02/2009 13:02

Anyone around?? Wanted to share my good news...I lost 2lbs and it was nearly 3 as I was barely under 206lbs last week and this morning it was dead on 203lbs. Why oh why do we torture ourselves with constant weigh-ins during the week??

Anyway, am not really expecting to lose much this week as I realise it will average itself out.

Plus I did a BA class this morning and almost did everything - just the very last aerobcs track I had to dip out of full jumping jacks halfway through. Not bad after have a cs 14 weeks ago

I am in a good mood today - can you tell??

JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 28/02/2009 13:07

Ceebee Well done!!!!!

Don't start te week in a negative, you will lose again next week!!!! Postivity breeds positivity!!!

LadyBuzz · 28/02/2009 13:09

Well done Ceebee

mileniwmffalcon · 28/02/2009 20:57

yay ceebee

LadyBuzz · 01/03/2009 08:33

Well I had my weigh in this morning and have lost 4lbs this week. However I was feeling a bit off yesterday and didn't eat anything at all, so we shall see what next week brings.
My total now is 1st 2lbs off.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 01/03/2009 08:35

Well done everyone on your weightloss, I am managing to hold steady but feel that my alcohol consumption this week will push me back up.

Dozymare · 01/03/2009 08:36

to LadyBuzz and Cebbeee - congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ran yesterday and hated every minute of it.....really, really struggled. I was on the treadmill for 30mins and 5 mins into it was bored/tired/not happy. anyone else get this?????
