Hi all - FBG - you need to input everything you eat/drink/exercise....,it will work out your cals for the day for you based on that.

I did a double class again this morning, BC then BP...really, really felt it though. Don't know what is wrong with me at moment, am so lethargic and no energy. Did some bloods at Dr's this week and he was going to check that my thyroid function again, as it can change (yet again) after having had a baby. I do feel sluggish so it could be what it is.....

My run was good. Good but tough, I am going to enter a 5k race this weekend as well! NOT that I will be racing, more to get myself up to speed for the upcoming 10k.

Will let you know weigh in results tomorrow. Had put 2lbs ON by Monday, haven't weighed since then so hpoing that by doing lots of exercise and eating well, i shall be ok....

Ceebee - can you do the plank BTW? I can only do it for about 30secs and the PT thinks it is because of 3 CS's and having had a 6 finger separation...

Ceebee74 · 07/05/2009 16:15

Phee welcome - good to hear that you had some success with WLR previously

Dozy I hope the doctors can give you an answer - nothing more frustrating than feeling crap and not knowing what it is.

Jodie well done!!! How fantastic to be seeing 10 something on the scales soon! Can you send some of those nice people my way as I still have had hardly any comments about my weight

Plank I can do it for about 30 secs aswell and that is a real struggle tbh - I start shaking bigtime towards the end. I really cannot do the side planks that they do in the abs track in BC and have to keep one knee on the floor for that. Although I suspect it is due to my 2 c/s, I never really had that strong abs before hand anyway so have never been very good at the plank.

As for me, been to the doctors aswell today and, as I suspected, it looks like I might have gallstones I need to go for an ultrasound to see how bad/big they are and then take it from there - am gutted as I really thought I was done with operations once DS2 was born and I am fitter now than I have ever been and it will be like taking a huge backwards step again But on the plus side, as it is aggravated by fatty, greasy meals and the pain is SO bad - I am definitely avoiding takeaways/big meals until it is sorted which has got to be a good thing

Hi everyone, I am changing my weigh in day to a Friday as like Dozy I tend to over indulge on a weekend mostly and need the week time to make up for it .

Soooo weighed in this morning and have lost 1lb which takes me to 11st on the dot and 1 1/2 stone off in total. So fingers crossed next week I will be 10 st something like Jodie - well done by the way .

Ceebee and Dozy hope things improve for you and you both start to feel better soon.

Hi phee good luck!

Dozymare · 08/05/2009 14:27

afternoon all - STAYED the same not as good as losing obviously, but midweek I was 2lbs on......so after my 3lb loss last week, I am averaging at 1.5lbs a week which is what I have set my WLR target to be. Going to be really, really, really good this week and have told DH to stop sabotaging my attempts by cooking up huge BBQ's. Got to call Dr's this pm re blood results, should be interesting....

good luck everyone else!¬!

Well done LadyBuzz and Jodie.

I am not going to post weight loss until next Wednesday as I am off to Nurse then for weigh in and check up.

Dozy - how were your blood tests and has your printer arrived yet.

I have been good today as have been costing out kitchens so hitting the wine a bit now, not sure whether I am meant to do that but hey ho. But did manage a lovely hour on the beach with DD this afternoon.

Have a nice weekend everyone

missnatalie · 09/05/2009 10:52

on the weight loss everyone .

Well done I am -1lb this week. Puts me at 12st 6lb. Have a feeling that the battery in my scales might be on its way out at earlier in the week they said i was 11st 1lb .

I bought myself one of those heart rate monitors that everyone the WLR site goes on about and its fab. Im actually burning more cals whilst exercising, than what the site says i do. For the "Steps" DVD the site gives me roughly 350 (i miss out the aerobics bit) but the HRM gives me just over 500. Minus the background cals and its about 450.

Ceebee74 · 09/05/2009 19:26

Well done to you all who have lost/stayed the same this week (Jodie/LB/Dozy/MissNat)

I have put on a pound this week which I hope think is a reaction to last week when I pigged out and lost 2lbs - plus I haven't been over careful this week either. I seem to have lost my focus a bit recently (I think it is that 'danger area' that Dozy mentioned where clothes look ok and I feel quite good about myself again) so please come and give me a kick and some wise words to get me re-motivated to keep going. Doesn't help that my WLR target date keeps moving further and further away - it is now in October!!

Missnat I keep reading about the HRM's - might be worth investing in one.

Dozymare · 09/05/2009 20:50

Firstly, well don on your losses girls. and ceebee on your gain. Please, please carry on though (and don't do a Dozy and self sabotage) as you have done so well so far. (IIRC, I don't think you have put on since the start of this have you?)

I on the other hand, are definately the resident yo-yoer.....Have some wine to cheer you up!

I am on the chocolate tonight (rather than the bottle of red, and few beers I usually have) as going for a bug run in the morning. Just had a kitkat senses, and an aero....also bought a crunchie...that is so bad isn't it? Stay sober and eat chocolate to compensate. If I was a being really good I wouldn't have had anything would I. trouble is, I like to treat myself at the weekend....

Sorry, bit of a me ranty post there

Having bad week

My Sis is back from Oz for a little while and shes staying for 10 days, so everything has gone out of the window

Ceebee, I think I;m in the same place as you, I'm getting happier with myself, but I know I still need to lose this blasted baby belly

Dozymare · 11/05/2009 18:54

are we all avoiding the thread as we are being:

a) good
b) bad

I'm somewhere in between this week as got my 2nd period since having Tiger in November and it is so, so heavy and painful I can't even contemplate exercise. Does anyone else remember having such a heavy period after having kids??? (sorry if TMI at dinnertime)

OP posts:
Ceebee74 · 11/05/2009 20:17

Evening

Dozy only your 2nd one?? I have had 4 and they haven't been particularly heavy but I am sure they would be heavier if they weren't as regular iyswim.

Thanks for your motivation ladies - this is only the second time I have put weight on since we started so I know that that is good - plus I think it has given me the kick up the backside I needed.

Did BC again today - it is definitely growing on me (although he didn't do the Chesney warm-up so was not happy about that ) plus have had a couple of people tell me I am looking thinner and one woman was even surprised that I had a BMI of 29 (she assumed it was under 25 from how I look) - all good stuff!!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 12/05/2009 09:51

Right I joined this about a month ago and have been soooo rubbish.

New start today as we are going on holiday 4 weeks on Saturday and I can't fit into any clothes!!

LadyBuzz · 12/05/2009 18:45

Dozy my periods were horrendously heavy and painful for the first few months, only calmed down when I went back on the pill - I just couldn't take any more!

Went to a friends for lunch today, couldn't refuse the food as she had already cooked it and was a bit down - 970 calories i'll be having celery for tea then!!

Good Luck Alibaba thats the date I need to fit into my dress by!

Dozymare · 12/05/2009 19:51

Hi alibaba this is a great thread, although you do seem to have joined us when everyone's motivation is lacking just a wee bit......

I saw the Dr today - he thinks that the the last pregnancy has played havoc with my metabolism and thyroid again, and has increased my dosage to 175mg. He said it would explain why my weight loss had slowed down despite my output (exercise) increasing and being ok-ish on the diet front. Hopefully will kick start my metabolism again and can get back on track.

period also linked in with this, so, so heavy and painful still... all i want to do it comfort eat but as I can't exercise this week, am really struggling. Have discovered that Costa do a Vanilla Frescato that is low fat 200 odd cals for small size and so yummy and filling...that is my stqandard breakfast or lunch at the moment, a la slimfast!

How is everyone else???

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/05/2009 10:01

Hi Dozy glad you managed to get some answers, funnily enough I had really bad preiods before children and although heavy they have been far less painful after.

All Hail, Reductil. Went for a check up with the nurse today and BP has come down and have managed to lose 2kg, so I have another 2 weeks and then back to the Doctor but it seems to be working.

My sabotage is white wine.

Welcome Ali

phee96 · 13/05/2009 13:21

Hi everyone

Dozy I've had 5 since DD was born and the first two were horrendously heavy. Glad you got some answers at Dr's

I am -1lb this week (weighing in on Wednesdays) but have been really bad on Monday and Tuesday so need to be extra good for the rest of the week, even though I'm going to a hen night on Saturday

Went on the Wii fit on Saturday for the first time in 3 months and I've lost 10lb since then

Ceebee74 · 15/05/2009 08:13

Ladies where are you all?? Must be some weigh-ins today??

LadyBuzz · 15/05/2009 08:41

Morning all, Just weighed in and I too am 1lb off. So under the 11st now i'm so pleased!

Dozy glad you are getting some answers!

Five good news for you well done!

Dozymare · 15/05/2009 10:35

Morning all - 2lbs OFF for me today!!!! Which means I am 13lbs 11oz so have lost 2 stone (finally, I hear you say!!!)

Now, can someone please, please explain the following to me.....

this week I have done ZERO exercise due to my bad toe but have been semi ok with what I eat. In fact, I ended up 546 cals OVER according to WLR. Yet, I have still lost 2lbs.........so am guessing next week I will put on??

Last week, I did tons and tons of exercise and stayed the same.....

Anyway, to celebrate my 2 stone loss I am going to eat and drink what I want today!!

OP posts:
Ceebee74 · 15/05/2009 12:29

LB well done for getting under 11 stone - you WILL fit in the dress (And we need a photo once you do )

Dozy yay for you hitting the 2 stone mark - what an achievement Now if only I could answer your question - it is exactly the same thing that happens to me and it completely baffles me tbh. Does make you wonder sometimes why we exercise so much

Ceebee74 · 16/05/2009 07:36

I have lost 3lbs this week and have reached the 2 stone mark too

Dozymare · 16/05/2009 11:23

yah ceebee and Ladybuzz* good week so far!!

I am laughing at my post, can anyone spot the obvious mistake?! have a good weekend all

OP posts:
Ceebee74 · 16/05/2009 11:51

Dozy have just spotted it - blimey, you weigh less than DS2!!

LadyBuzz · 17/05/2009 11:57

Well done Ceebee I spotted it Dozy

Ooh tried the dress again yesterday it fits to the point that I could put up with it for the day! yay - need to get some sort of control pants though - Any suggestions???

JODIEwantsanewname · 17/05/2009 18:34

Well done all!!

Haven't been very good at all, no gym and no diet this week as my sis and her boyf are here and DH has had the week off work, so we've been out and about, eating here there and everywhere, didn't do my weigh in this week as we were camping, so diet starts again tomorrow
