Well done Missnat thats great progress.

Ths week I have lost 1lb, I wasn't expecting a massive loss after last week but it is still a loss. My aim for next week is to lose at least 2lbs which will take me to 1 1/2 stone off and under 11st! I am really going to try to be good!

Ceebee74 · 03/05/2009 20:49

Missnat well done on the loss - you are definitely the 'biggest loser' on here I did see Claire on This Morning and was a bit when she said she was a 10-12 as she looked a little bit bigger than that but maybe it is true that TV adds on 10lbs.

LB good for you aswell - 1lb is a loss in the right direction

Dozy how was the running club - god that is my idea of hell as I detest running

Right, have decided to give BC a try tomorrow although my legs are SO achy tonight as we spent 7 hours walking round the zoo today

Ceebee74 · 04/05/2009 13:02

Well ladies I did my first BC class this morning.....and I really enjoyed it Didn't really feel that stupid in the end and managed most of the moves ok. I really felt in in my arms though and I have a feeling they are going to ache tomorrow!! Love the Chesney warm-up - I do love that song

Jodie/Dozy as for WLR, if I input 60 minutes of BC in it gives me 870+ cals - do you use this? I really don't believe it so have entered 60 minutes of high impact aerobics instead which is 500ish cals. Not sure what to do....any advice?

Dozymare · 04/05/2009 17:23

Well done ceebee I had a feeling you would love it!!!!! I'll get you running as well!!!! This, by the way, is from the girl who has always HATED long distance3 running!!!

Did you laugh at the Chesney warm up??!

BC is incredibly intense, and the reason why we get so much in terms of cals is all due to the weight we are...when I first started I would get over 900 cals but this has dropped with the weight I am losing.

I am seriously over, the scales are also saying 2lbs on so need to live on lettuce for rest of week

(she says as she is just about to eat yet another full on BBQ)

Catch up soon!

Ceebee74 · 05/05/2009 08:15

Ouch ouch ouch my arms and back are a little bit sore today - is this normal after BC??

Hope everyone had a good BH weekend - it is absolutely chucking it down here so no chance of walking DS1 to nursery but I am going shopping to the Trafford Centre in a bit so lots of walking there!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 05/05/2009 12:26

Hi all

Hope everyone had a good BH, the weather wasn't bad so we had a great time. Not to bad on the food front either.

I started the tablets on Thursday after I went to the Doctor. No side effects yet. I am not sure how they work but I am more conscious about what I am eating and portion size so I am not using them to lose weight while pigging out. As they are an appetite suppresser then I am managing to control my snacking between meals. So far have lost 2lbs but will continue to use Friday as my weigh in. Mentally I am already much happier as I feel that I am at last making some real progress with my weight loss.

Dozymare · 05/05/2009 12:58

well done five your attitude is spot on and well done so far on 2lbs off! As I have said so often, it is all about changing our mentality as well as just calorie counting. I am STILL stuck in the vicious cycle of good week (ie 3lbs off las week) and bad week (seriously put 2lbs on since Friday. I know what I am doing but can't help it. How do I break that cycle??

ceebee not sure about arms hurting, my legs always, always do but I don't think your back should be hurting????? Can't really think of anything that is back specific, so maybe check your posture at the next class????

i did the souble this morning - pump followed by combat and my legs were shaking! Deffo feeling the effects of my marathon run on sunday!!! day off tomorrow and then the double again on Thursday....

How many hours exercise are you all doing? I saw my neighbour this morning and she thinks I am doing to much. I am doing 6 hours which I think is fine......

Have a good day!

Ceebee74 · 05/05/2009 15:28

FBB welcome to the thread - any questions, let us know but WLR rocks

Five well done - it sounds like you are being sensible and hopefully things will work out.

Dozy maybe my posture was wrong - I think next class I will be able to concentrate on my technique more as I won't be faffing trying to figure out the moves.

As for amount of exercise, I am probably averaging at 6 hours of exercise I think - I do a class on Saturday and Sunday, DH is working from home 2 days a week so I do a double class on one of those days and then a single class on the other one - and I do an exercise DVD on one of the other days - and have 2 days off. On top of all that, I walk DS1 to nursery and back when it is not raining which, if the weather is nice all week, is 2 1/2 hours walking a week (whilst carrying an 18lb baby in a sling!) So, no I don't think 6 hours is excessive at all - I think your neighbour is just jealous of your motivation. I always find people make comments like that when they are jealous.

Just been shopping and had a lovely salad at Nandos with a toasted pitta bread - was delish!

FabulousBakerGirl · 05/05/2009 17:20

Have signed up

Put in what I have eaten today (not much imo) and have 529 calories left. No idea but I am sure my dinner will be more than that.

Dozymare · 05/05/2009 19:55

go girl!!! There is no turning back now...we will keep you on track (although if you read this thread you will see we have good/bad weeks), the support is brilliant!

Also have a look around the WLR forum - it really, really helped me to get into the mindset of WHY I was the way I was. I am still not there, but slowly slowly!!

Another tip is exercise.....really makes a difference to what you can eat!

What is your target?? I started at 15st 11lb and am now down to 13st 13lbs since 6th Jan. So, very nearly 2 stone...but my problem is self sabotage, once I have a good week (last week -3lbs) i then follow it with a bad week (this week, already 2lbs on)

One other gfood tip is to measure yourself. I was feeling really crap one week as hadn't lost anything for a while, but when I measured, had lost another 4 inches!

Good luck, keep posting!

Ceebee74 · 05/05/2009 19:57

Fbb great news that you have signed up - it really is worth it.

What weight loss rate have you put in - 2lbs a week?? Just wondered as I think all of us on here put that in initially and were at how few calories we got with that so we all changed to either 1lb a week or 1 1/2 lb a week - makes quite a bit of difference. I am set at 1 1/2lb a week - and I am losing weight at a steady pace - and I need the extra calories for treats really to keep myself motivated.

Hope that makes sense - bit waffly probably

FabulousBakerGirl · 05/05/2009 20:04

I am 12st 2lbs and want to be 10 st but not sure how realistic that is.

I don't actually eat that much.

Ceebee74 · 05/05/2009 20:08

Why not realistic?

I was 15st 9lb and am now 13st 11lb so I am only 4lbs off what you want to lose in total - if I can do it (with my chocolate/cream cake addiction ) then I am sure you can!!

As Dozy said, exercise really does make the difference if you can fit it in.

FabulousBakerGirl · 05/05/2009 21:02

I don't know where to start tbh.

Off to watch tv now so will have a think.

Thanks for the support.

JODIEwantsanewname · 05/05/2009 22:29

Hi all,

FBB welcome! I just want to say that I started at 12st 5lbs, and my target is 10 stone, I am now at 11st 3, so 1 stone and 2lbs in! I'm setting myself different, smaller targets, so my next one is to get to under 11 stone, so 3.5lbs off that, it will then be 2 stone loss etc... It makes it more worthwhile to see it in smaller chunks

I agree about exercise, even if you clean more vigerously (Sp?) than you normally do, or get an exercise DVD or something if you find it hard to get out, most of us on here do alot of walking and/or running on a day to day basis, if it's hard to get out...

Dozy how did it go at your running club? How far? were you slow?

Dozy and ceebee I was giggling to myself through the chesney warm up tonight!!!!

JODIEwantsanewname · 05/05/2009 22:29

Sorry FBG

LadyBuzz · 07/05/2009 08:12

FBG I started at 12st 7lb and would ideally like to get to 9st 7lbs but will probably be happier around 10st. Very realistic I would say! Good Luck this IS a great thread for support!

Dozy I am exactly the same as you, I sabotage myself after i've had a good week!

Dress day is looming now only 5 weeks on Sat and as I have just bought the most gorgeous ridiculously expensive shoes I really really need it to fit!

Ceebee74 · 07/05/2009 08:36

LB you WILL do it and you WILL look fab

Am going out for lunch with a friend today - just had a look at the restaurants website and it has all the calorie details of the menu - how fab is that?? So I have been able to look and decide what the nicest thing I can 'afford' to have is - which is a brie and cranberry baguette (not as many calories as other seemingly healthier options ) - anyway, can't wait now!!

JODIEwantsanewname · 07/05/2009 08:56

Hi guys, well, I've lost 1.75lbs this week! whoo hoo, puts me down to 11st 1.25lbs!! So only 1.5lbs to get to see that 10 on the scales

Also I have had 6, yes 6 people tell me that I;ve lost weight!!!!! Feel so much better about it now.

Right off to do the double now (BP followed by BC)

phee96 · 07/05/2009 09:54

Hi everyone, I've joined WLR again (am currently on my 24 hour free trial). I used it a couple of years ago with some success and am excited to start again.

I am currently 10st 7lb and have put in a target weight of 8st 7lb (pre-baby weight). I am barely 5ft 2in so I think this is realistic.

Didn't get off to the best start though, had McDonalds for tea last night but thanks to all the walking I did and a healthy lunch I managed to stay within my calories (just!)

Well done to everyone who has been successful, and thank you for showing me it can be done

FabulousBakerGirl · 07/05/2009 11:32

What exactly am I meant to do?

Having breakfast helped yesterday.
